This tutorial helped me out so much! I also had a small question at about 3:14 when you add another frame, how did you make it so that when you add a new frame, the old one shows up in red?
Thanks for the explanation for how cycles work! I always forget that button's there so I'd just draw cycles manually 😅 As for animation apps with tweening, both Animation & Drawing by Do Ink and Animation Pro (the closest thing to Flash or Toon Boom on the ipad) have it. Check them out if you have the time!

Brilliant. Here is another question I have never seen asked let alone answered. If I have an element on layer 1 at frame 50 and I want to place an item at the same spot on another layer there does not seem to be a way of doing it apart from starting at frame 1 and keep hitting insert after until I am at frame 50.
yes, that is normal. I would add one drawing on the second layer and set its duration to 49 frames, than add the next drawing, but yeah, pretty much what you said.
Yeah, you'll have to adjust the movement of the character with a cycle first, then make into separate drawings so you're able to edit the drawings. I might make a video on that, thanks for the idea
@@IIPaused i mark mutiple drawings , and extend the durations for my character walking from left to right. but it's only Teleporting . I think it work for only one frame.
@@Raff-Yuku yeah that's why you'll have to draw a character on one frame and make the movement adjustment with cycle first (with the character's pose being still), so the pace and placement of the walk is calculated by the cycle. Then press Make into separate drawings, so you can redraw the character on the frames you need and make him move his limbs. I guess it still saves a little time and makes the movement speed consistent.

I'm not sure if this issue is related to cycles but on a separate layer to the later I cycled, I cannot seem to erase it. Everytime I try to erase the moment I go to another frame the part of the drawing I erased comes back. I tried reversing the cycle but it's still there, so I'm not really sure what to do. I've also been generally having issues when managing scenes with multiple animated objects resulting in multiple layers. Do you have any advice for fixing this issue, or a forum I could go to ask?
sounds like a bug, I'd send a message to the dev directly (email address should be on the app's website). The only forum for this app I know is in Russian and is pretty much dead🥲

I don't recommend this app they don't even have rulers or shapes... I would recommend Flipaclip and if your serious just pay for the full lap its about the same as rough animator.

or! you can "duplicate the layer's timing to blank drawings" (in " Modify layers") and go from there. That should save you a couple of clicks/taps

No Name like any other picture, just make sure the image you're importing is PNG or another transparency supporting format
