    Although I didn’t get the win, I learned a lot from this fight and now know exactly how I have to fight in order to win. There is only winning and learning in combat sports, and sometimes it’s better to learn early on rather than later. Comment down below what you wanna see next!

    I'm not trying to detract from this fight; I've been trying to gauge difference in skill levels of boxers. It's kinda crazy seeing newer amateurs compared to seasoned pros. I know someone with a couple amateur fights is better than me, but then you see the dudes on tv and it kinda humbles you

    • @jonahgrundy412
      @jonahgrundy412  Рік тому +39

      I wouldn't say it humbles you, cause most new amateurs know that we aren't at our full potential yet, but watching the pros on tv gives us the extra motivation to work harder and gain more confidence in our abilities, at least in my opinion.

    • @myrusEW
      @myrusEW Рік тому

      @@cloroc Except...not really. Tell me why a freshman baller can be higher ranked and get scholarship offers over his more senior teammates...🤔Explain to me why someone with 0 experience can be seen as a natural athlete in certain sports? Oh yeah, because some people are simply BETTER and ALWAYS will be. My comment wasn't meant to be negative, it's just a harsh reality. I can wannabe Floyd or Tyson or RJJ all day, but there's an extremely high chance that I can never even come close to matching such world level dominance. My comment was simply pointing out how demotivating that knowledge can be.

      @@myrusEW Genetics or "raw talent" are what the lazy use to describe the discrepancy between their work ethic and a world champions. Dedication is the problem. If you are trying to do anything professionally you should be putting 6-8 hours of training in per day, 6 days a week. If you're not, don't compare yourself to those that do, because it's your heart that's the problem not your "talent."

    I want to just tell you that I didn't mean to detract from you, but I'm not you. I'm an outside perspective, not against or for you. I was just making an observation. It was more of a statement about how HARD it takes to get to that level. I wasn't talking about you or your opponent specifically being humble. Just the idea of trying your hardest and seeing how much more you have to push yourself. I have no sanctioned bouts but I've been in smokers and cross gym "sparring"(5'11 200) so I know the work you have to put in to get into that ring. I respect that, and if you want to be a champion, I respect that. You know it won't be easy, either. That's being humble. That's all. Sorry for whoever I offended.

    • @jonahgrundy412
      @jonahgrundy412  Рік тому +4

      You're all good bro, I didn't take any offense to it. I welcome constructive criticism, I was just explaining my opinion on what you said, I don't agree nor disagree with what you said though. At the end of the day, people are gonna doubt me or anybody else that is doing something out of the norm and isn't immediately successful at it, so I am more than ready to take all the criticism until I prove myself. No need to apologize bro, no hard feelings, and wish you nothing but the best.
