Hello po. Im a 9th Grader and since I was in 5th grade, I always wanted to become an architect. Now, I don't really know if I have the skills to become one. I can draw but I don't know if that helps. How could I do good in designing?? I think at this age I should at least be able to design or draw the outside appearance of a building. But I'm still not as good. What could you advise me to do??

This is how my lolo write. You can't even see him writing small letters, he has a very good penmanship. Pangarap nyang maging Architect pero hindi nya natupad dahil sa hirap ng buhay, hanggang ngayon ay nangangarap parin syang maging arkitekto pero mukang malabo na kaya tinutuloy nalang nya sa pamamagitan ng pagiging karpintero.
Same with my lolo. Pero di nya ata alam yung architecture pero ang galing nyang gumawa ng sarili nyang design ng mga furniture. Nung namatay sya saka sya tinawag sa probinsya namin na furniture artists pero nung buhay sya ... Isang hamak na karpintero na binabayaran ng mababa pa sa minimum na ang quality ng gawa ay yung mga binebenta sa mamahaling furniture shops (wood works). Sayang nga eh kung may pera at matanda na ako nun siguro nagpatayo na ako ng furniture shops nya habang buhay pa sya

Back in highschool during my T.D (Technical Drafting) classes, my teacher would scold us for not using a guideline ahahaha, but thanks to her, I can now draw straight lines ez and my all caps lettering is admired by my dad (who is an Architect!)

What I really wanted is that it would be great if you do say series of videos about Learning architecture covering the basics and intermediate parts for eg: how to draw floor plans and in which scale? , how to imagine it in 3D? , what are first things we should while doing project? and an imaginary project for start to end how to draw what tackle things like that. It will be very helpful and also I ordered the books you recommend thanks for that.👍👌✌🙂
Soon to be a high school student and I am already interested in being an architect, one because of drawings, two because of the math everyone says you don't need to be good in math. Though either I need to be good at math or not all I care is to graduate college with a course I want also my course need to have something to do with arts or drawings but also qualifies my parents want. :D

I think your lettering is just fine. I like the all caps (who needs those lowercase letters?). The slightly imperfect lettering style gives it personality. I like using the straight edge so he verticals are always straight and upright.

I remember during my apprenticeship. My client asked me if i am mad at somepoint that my writting feels like a negative exposure to him. I laughed and explained the whole thing LOL... but still we should be eligable in everyway or thing, even in letterings cuz that's how we show our profession towards another person.

our college prof required us to answer in block letters, and to cross the z and 7 the old fashioned way to distinguish them from 2 and l (sometimes). also true, writing speed increased with block letters.

More manipulation (and practice) with that chisel tip will yield more beautiful lettering. Also, a slot guide gives near perfect size consistancy (again….practice,practice,practice )

Back in the day (1992) I learned to letter like a draftsman. Unfortunately my teacher was out of the machinist's field, not architecture, so I never did learn to put a slant on my lettering. I still have pretty decent handwriting because of it, but nobody who has worked in the field is ever fully satisfied with their own writing!
Great. I'm perusing different videos for adopting this style for a notebook of terms I need to look up on my computer. I know this sounds crazy, but I have compiled a list of terms and subjects I want to further explore and define via my computer and I've been attempting to employ this style for my lettering technique, simply b/c it looks so cool. I've even been asked about it like "how do you write so NEAT?" and the like. Others don't even know about this thing and I'm keeping it my secret. On another note, my brother in law really wanted to be an architect, but his family wasn't able to send him. From what I've seen of his script, he attempts to use this style. I don't know if it's intentional or secret longings he has of being able to use it professionally. I've never asked him about it. Thanks for posting the video.

I remember during my Student Nursing days, we were required to do letting from A to Z during the summer , then proceed handwriting the medical terms from A to Z again 🤯 What a fun Summer vacation it is😅

It can't be learnt in a few videos...you should find your own philosophy and concepts and reexamine them from time to time.

Suggestion: When writing with pencil, you can abrade it with sandpaper in 45° angle to make it look broad

I go to a technical high school and my shop is technical drafting.
And it was so funny how in my first yr in my shop my teacher literally took off ten points from my assignment bc I didn’t write in all caps lol
