Hey bro! Amazing video! I wonder how did u go to all these places in just two days? They looks a bit far a part from each sight on map. Did u drive there or took the train & buses?
Hi, thanks for watching! So it was a couple years back so I don't remember the exact time schedule but essentially starting early like 6 am. Long days, but all bus/train/walk. I know my walking distance per day was close to 40km. If you articulate it in the same order you should be able to get it all done tho, as Kyoto is not very big. Don't hesitate if you got questions!
@@GabrielAndre thanks! I'm planning on a trip to Kyoto a few month later. Came across your video. I'm amazed by how u able to film & talk and enjoy the sights there in such a limited time!
I'll be in Kyoto in a few week, I'm trying to follow your itinerary. You recommend to take the bus in Kyoto. how did you get from Fushimi Inari to Daigo-Ji? did you use a bus? I searched and downloaded the The Roku bus map that you showed in this video and I don't see a bus connections from Fushimi Inari to Daigo-Ji. would you be kind to tell me how did you get from one site to the other I'd greatly appreciated
Hi there, thanks for watching! I don't remember exactly what bus I used as it was recorded quite some time ago but I've done a search and here's what seems to be the best option now: From the entrance of Inara taisha (so in front of Inari station) > walk 15 minutes north to "Jujo aifukacho" bus stop on the "Kyoto daigosen 301" bus line > get onboard direction Daigoji temple > remain onboard for 11 stops (23 minutes) > bus drops you in front of Daigoji temple. Total travel time 39 minutes. You should be able to find this itinerary on Google maps. There are itineraries with a tad less walk but you have to transfer from train to bus etc. Overall seems more annoying than the bus only option in my opinion. Hope that helps. Have a great trip 😁
@@GabrielAndre thanks for the info Gabriel. I’m at a trade fare at Big Site the week 21 November. Just need to decide whether to go a week earlier or stay a week later - really fancy Kyushu this time with a quick day or two in Kyoto. Cheers
I don't have a particular address to recommend but I've stayed at numerous "budget" hotels over the years and they're all good and similar. Personally I like to stay around Shijo / Gion-shijo / Gojo / Shichijo / Sanjo areas, because it's convenient and nice to go take a walk in the historic center at night too. The center of Kyoto isn't big like Tokyo, so you can easily walk across these areas. Any would do in my opinion 🙂

Great video. It's so quiet in Kyoto without the tourists around. I subbed for your street photo content, but I like your vlogs as well. Keep it up! :)
Thanks a lot for watching 🙏 Kyoto is definitely VERY quiet compared to before. I'll also post one or 2 POVs from Kyoto in not too long 😁

I'm planning to go to Kyoto on 10th Dec. May i know if the foliage is still remain the same as in the video?
Hi! 10th of December is probably very much on the tail end... Definitely past peak but if you're lucky you'll maybe still some colours 🤔
When we’re you in Kyoto for these beautiful colours? I’m back in Tokyo in November I hope

It's a good 20 minute bus ride 🙂
