My wife used to be an RN nurse and she made that paper she got into an accident, so now she can’t do nursing anymore now she works for a transport company so I don’t see how it’s very funny when you work in an industry like this and have money to pay for the things you want so not funny in my eyes

Simple way to stop this BS is to have ALL ‘hand to customer’ orders sign for their order…. Takes 15 seconds or less and helps drivers confirm they did not steal the food…

I handed in hand to a customer but still she reported panda express food not being delivered.
What I don’t get is that when we can prove that the order was delivered and that the customer is lying then why doesn’t Door Dash DEACTIVATE that customer from ever being able to order from Door Dash again?!!!

@@laureens4357 iv'e already had several of those none lately though. I think door dash does this after a customer has reported before not getting what they ordered or a customer has been reported by a dasher as a problem.

That would be too much work on their part. It's easier to just hand out CVs and ignore the drivers appeal.
I have had them call me one time , I described the house and told hen to look at past orders they placed , it will be the same background in the picture. I even told them I would go back and take more pictures if needed. They ended saying sounds like you were at the right location don’t worry and continue my day dashing

Unfortunately Doordash is lazy like that. Easier to target the driver than to upset the customer. They'd also rather lose one order when the customer may pay for 70 others. Doesn't make it right though
The solution is what Uber does with requiring a PIN.
I had 4 orders the other night with pins. All high paying but only because uber paid since they were all non tipping orders.

Talk about entitlement. Go to a hospital and risk security escorting you out and being deactivated. Yeah he is most likely deactivated for this. He just harassed a diner 100% deactivation. No she didn't cost your job, you costed yourself your job over 1 contract violation. Pick your battles
Oh and btw. You still get paid for the order. And 95% of these cases is the costomer called to say their food hadn't arrived "yet" key word is yet. Doordash hears it as didn't arrive. Doordash drivers need to stop sitting on their damn phones chatting up people while having an order in their car and get the costomer their food. I can't count how many times I arrive at a restaurant after another dasher. They have the diner's food 5 minutes before me and I still manage to get out of the parking lot before they do.

Dashers should stick their noses into their business and not into others.
And contract violations are just notices sent out by a computer to be later investigated by a team. I have had some. I filed a dispute and every time. They got removed.

She tried to commit fraud by scamming him bc contract violations are not random at all they're intentional. That means she got in touch with doordash and said she didn't get her order so they refunded her money and immediately penalized the driver who didn't anything wrong.
This is the worst. I need a body camera ASAP. I do this full time until my arm heals and it scares me that my only income is on the line. All these people think nothing happens when you tell DoorDash you didn’t get your order.
I have a dash cam that has a clip so I can attach it to my shirt and use as a body cam so it has 2 different uses

Or you can just go through the app and take a picture even if it’s a hand it to me, go by their name, click call or text customer click the text icon it will pop up their name on top. The word bar will come on the bottom like you’re going to type then click the camera icon, the camera will open up on your phone even if they’re standing outside waiting or they are in a lobby at a business waiting for their order always use your hot bag. It gives you a good customer rating and it lets them know that you are not fooling around as soon as you walk in Also it gives you time to explain to the customer that you have to take it out and set it down and confirm the order and take a picture then you proceeded to take the picture they might get a little snippy. Some of the customers I have had give me a snobby attitude About it that’s how I know they were trying to pull a fast one but it blew up in their face because the picture shows proof that you drop the order off at their location and honestly sends a pic to their phone and what is most important. It sends a picture to DoorDash support to their system because they watch you text the customer. Trust me. DoorDash knows everything you do when you are on that platform. and honestly, some customers understand and they don’t get snobby does not matter, though makes no difference they can act cool as well to make it seem like they are not going to pull a fast one never trust anyone ever.
What "lisa" essentially did was call his boss and say that he is a theif and that he doesn't do his job. What if the receptionist that was in the video would do that at her job and tell her boss the same thing? Customers need to realize that in order for them to get that "free lunch" someone has to suffer and that someone is the driver. I would like to think she will never do this again. I don't hope for anyone to loose their job, but I hope she was at least reprimanded.

Have you gotten the LOP program software? It’s available for any dasher. Permit to say do you know what (LOP) means ? I’m not sure you do know for more clarification OP is (Large Order Program )software

Just send a picture directly to customer like you’re going to text them I get customers that get snappy with me when I do that because I walk in there with my hot bag and their food inside. I said it down on the counter and I just straight to the customer that I have to confirm the order after I pull out of my hot bag and take a picture of it. Some of them get it. Some of them were nasty. Makes no difference to me though you are getting a picture you are not going to scam me, especially at four dollars a gallon for gas
Agree. Sometimes it's "hand it to me" and the customer types "leave at front door." So I message the customer a photo of the food on their porch.

It's happened to me about 6 times now every time they act shocked. We are asking for the PIN. Of course, because they claim that they haven't gotten their food so many times Uber Eats doesn't believe them any more. They still let them order off the platform. Those individuals never tip as well.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to show up with one. You declare you never got the food, that means someone stole it, that means theft, that means the cops get called. Would probably freak a lot of these cheapa55 out. We used to call the cops when people refused to pay for their meals in-house, I see no reason not to do it as mobile.

I had this happen to me. I knew exactly who it was. I had delivered to her twice before. She actually lived in my neighborhood. Not the same street but a close neighborhood.
I went to her house and confronted her in a nice way.
She told me she said, “she was missing an item! Not that she didn’t get it”. I asked her if she would call because I got a contract violation stating she never got her order. She gave me her phone number, apologized to me and ended up calling DoorDash and after about three days my violation was reversed.
Mistakes are made. Not sure if she told me the truth or not but I’m glad the violation was reversed.
This job is all about covering your ass. Always take pictures and take good mental notes.

Confronting customers (and filming it ((and making a viral video out of it)) like this is a great way to get deactivated.
I myself would not confront a customer. However, I think he handled it pretty well. He didn't get rude or aggressive and pretty much put her on the spot and had her shaking in her shoes. These apps really do need to do something about people like her. Flag them after their 2nd complaint about not receiving food and have them start having to put in a pin to get their order. That guy did not sound old enough to have 5 kids lol. I love how you picked a name for her😂
You probably shouldn't since they didn't deactivate him for not delivering, they immediately deactivated him for creating an "unsafe environment" because she appairently pulled back the failed drop off and then immediately reported him for confronting her.

I hate to generalize this because I know a lot of good Christians out there that do try their best to be good people, but they have a whole belief that they can be shitty people as long as they atone for it later to be saved. Because even though I know a lot of people that do try their best, I know others that use it as a crutch and will lie, cheat, and steal whenever they think they can get away with it. I’m only saying this because she had pray on her shirt so I’m assuming she at least says she is Christian.
God knows our intentions, sinning just to ask for forgiveness later is not a way to handle yourself as a Christian, everyone makes mistakes but it’s the change of heart and repentance to God that is the most important

A lot of people who are working in medical offices that are part of the support staff make a bit over minimum wage. Seems she thought it was a clever way of getting a free lunch.
Pretty astounding considering that most of the workers in these offices get free lunches regularly from the medical reps. If you want to have access to Doctors to get them to buy your product. You have to buy the whole office lunch. So trust me this person gets a lot of free lunches.
Customer should receive a confirmation code for HAND IT TO ME deliveries that they give to the driver in order to be given the items.

I believe that for all orders that require handing it to the customer, some method of verification is needed before handing the food or items so the customer can't scam the service and not put Dashers' or gig workers' position in jeopardy.
I know sometimes Uber eats requires a pin. I feel like if the customers choose to opt out of Pin verification, then they forfeit their opportunity to claim the item was never delivered.

I got my first violation last month. It was a great order with a great tip..and a leave at my door. When I got there n left it I took a picture and thanked them. He reported his food didn't arrive hours after I left. No call or msg from him after I dropped off...I just saw it early morning n was like what the hell? When I called support she just said she needed to check something n asked me what mt ratings say..I said nothing changed??? She's like ok. This is your first one..so..it's not a big issue. We removed it and you are fine. I'm like oh. Ok. It just sucks it was such a great order snd he wanted to get free food off me. It really sucks to have sucky people just tryna get over on ppl that just wanna make some money..so they can eat free. Idk. This lady looks like she couldn't even thunk of fast lies because she was confronted and she sucks for that lol. These ppl do the most. I swear.

I had a contract violation once a few months back from a hand it to me order (I believe it was a no tip order). I had to do 100 deliveries in order for that violation to get off my account.
What I do now with hopes that there’s no contract violation on my end is texting the customer when I’m on my way to drop off their order and when I arrive so that DoorDash has proof that I made the effort to deliver.
One time I did an Ubereats order and took a photo. The customer said "is the photo mandatory?" I said "yes it is, that's your setting". 10 minutes later I get a call from Uber saying that the food the customer received was the wrong order. I knew at that point that if I hadn't taken the photo, they would have claimed that they never received it.
I don’t let them know but my pictures narrate my delivery, (in app delivery with name screenshot, the navigation toggle, pic of building, entry of building and screenshot of my leave at door and pic of me exiting without food. EVEN IF IT IS HIGH PAYING cos someone tried playing me but my Everlance app saved me, I got the police involved, he was shaking and he got kicked off Doordash

I had that happen to me one time I was early on the doordash platform I went back and confronted the customer and I said you said you didn't get your order I handed it right to you and the girl sitting next to you seen me this thing only happened like 10 minutes earlier she said well I didn't report my order as not getting it but I didn't get my whole order it was a Subway sub crazy part next day I got her again but this time I said put your food in front of your chest so that I can take a picture I told her you're not going to do that again to me

I take pics of the food in their hands. I got out of my violation by describing the ladies house, the conversation I had with her and I remembered in detail how she looked, which I would have had to hand it to her if I knew that.

So true about customers lying for free food! Only thing that is just as bad as that is tip baiting. Only once in about 10k food deliveries has someone contacted me and tried to pull a quick one. Luckily I have a photographic memory so I knew exactly where I dropped it, described to the customer their floor mat, door color, exact location of apartment and i called there bluff and said I was reviewing my go pro and was going to submit it to Uber eats if a complaint is made to them. Customer suddenly apologized and said they found the food. Lol
Heres how to immediately eliminate wrongful CVs any hand to me orders have the customer sign or enter a pin # for the order and for leave at the door just take a picture it would eliminate all wrongful CVs and sorry people will get lost

I got a contract violation for a CVS item that the customer claimed she never received. What’s crazy is I took a picture in the app! I called Doordash support and thank god they removed the violation the next day. But Jesus what the customers do sometimes to try to get something for free!

I've had it happen a couple of times. I live in a smallish town. Most people know me and I know them so it didn't take me long to figure out who it was. I spread the word to every dasher in my city and NO ONE will deliver to her now. She hosed herself lol idiots..

The next day I checked doordash had removed the contract violation. That let's me know that these customers are lying about receiving their orders!
Doordash has a problem with customers AND dashers who want free meals. I had one the other day, Doordash unassigned me from the order when I said I was not going to wait for the restaurant to remake the food after waiting 45 minutes for the restaurant to tell me another dasher "took" the food and talking to support. Support told me they were not going to give me half pay. I got hit with unassigning the offer. I was mad. I called support again after sitting at my car. I called, explained calmly and the support agent got me my half pay and reported the previous agent for unassigning me.
That happened to me twice I got two contract violations for a handed to me order I never caught the picture up with the second one I got removed I will never hand an order over to some that I got a bad feeling too without taking a picture
That's what I always worry about when the app says 'leave at door' but the customer meets me at the door and takes the food... I can't get a picture that way... I'm thinking about getting a dash cam so I have proof.

Start taking a picture of hand it to me orders, no matter if the customer gets impatient. We have to be extra careful. They need a pin code for hand it to me orders.

Always take a photo. Because alot of them will send their *friend* or spouse to meet you at the door (which doesn't let the app request a photo). Or they meet you at the parking lot before the driver can even take a photo of the delivery with the house number. I hear these stories. You can see how fake people really are pretending to have a decent job or having a shirt about 'prayer' but they're true self is the opposite.
Had one last week. Restaurant forgot part of the order and owner who knows me called and asked me to come back, which I did as a favor. Went back to customer with the missing sauce. They wouldn't answer the door. Rang the bell 4 x. Immediately called DD to report the customer. They had already called (less than 10 minutes from initial contact) to demand a refund. All they were missing was a sauce from a $100 order which they tipped me $2.50 for. (It was on my way home.) They posted a bad review but DD deleted it from my account. DD also got back to me and thanked me for reporting the customer. Lesson: call DD immediately when this happens and let them know the customer is a scammer.
I think what happens a lot of the time is when there’s a missing item/items, some customers will report it as not delivered instead of “missing items”. There’s been a few times I’ve ordered on doordash, requested a refund for a missing item, and doordash DID NOT give me a refund for it despite the item I paid for not being there. So I would imagine these customers couldn’t get a refund (due to requesting too many refunds in DoorDash’s eyes) so they resorted to reporting as not delivered 🤔 just a theory tho I’m sure some people do it solely for free food.

Yeah, and the fault is sometimes on the restaurant not the driver. Door dash needs to deal with that aspect of the transactions and take responsibility instead of stressing customers and drivers out.
I think that is the case. Every violation i had was over missing items from order or McDonald's forgetting drinks sandwiches

Confronting customers in a non-threatening and correct fashion doesn't bother me, but confronting customers on tips is another. In this case, probably a good idea to record the interaction to give to doordash... but who knows how doordash would have reacted to confronting customers like this

The worst part is … even if you have proof , pictures , videos or anything that’s proof to provide DoorDash Doesn’t care!! I just had a contract violation for the same “order never arrived” and doordash never contacted me back. They said whenever I’m contacted by a supervisor to provide proof or evidence to do so but how can I when they don’t contact me??? Doordash is a good app to make money however their customer service is Horrible !!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! I didn’t even bother to contact them back because in 5 days I completed 100 deliveries and then they removed the violation but the thing was to get that customer off the app!
That’s a big problem that encourages people to scam-they know they’re never going to be confronted and that the driver will be deactivated.

I took a picture AND texted that I had arrived...STILL got a contract violation. Submitted it all to doordash and I still have the contract violation. Explain that one to me?? Lol

Man this same thing has happened to me twice and i have only been dashing for a month and a half. I didn’t confront them though. Dash support wasn’t helpful i told them that i have screen shot of conversation and everything but I’m still wearing the black eye of a violation
Always have the customer call and talk to Doordash, too, if you can. I had a violation and asked the customer to please call Doordash back and rescind and he did. Maybe I was just lucky! But worth a try. 😊
Some of these videos show customers kinda shocked when confronted. Yes I know that some lie about not getting their order. However , what if its not the customer ? What if its door dash falsely reporting it and giving out violations as a way to " thin the herd" of drivers ? How would you know either way ? Where is the data for drivers to view ? Oh , that's right , we are not allowed that access ; are we ? So everything DD claims on drivers ; we have zero way to check.
Finally someone is recording these thieves and calling them out. Shame on any of you who do this to doordashers.
