That French toast made my stomach growl.!!Wow what a good spread. I've been a waitress for 18 years and I wish everyone treated me the way you do.Breath of fresh air and so humble
I love these low cost high quality discoveries you find. And the portions were really generous. I feel so sorry for these businesses that had to shut down for so long. But they've earned their right to survive. It's another addition to our long growing "Tim's" bucket list:) Sending Best Wishes and Blessings, James and Kim ❤️
Does anyone here in Toronto remember the Richtree Marche at Bayview and York Mills and the crepes and Rosti they had there? I love how it was like a station setup, it was so fun and interactive.
Once or twice a year I've come here with family for a special occasion -- A birthday, or Mother's Day. You can never go wrong, but if you want to eat there on Mother's Day you must make a reservation! This is one of Toronto's best kept Church St. Village secrets. The food is rich, and well made -- restaurant quality, they don't go cheap on the buffet.
So glad that this buffet is back in action. I haven't been there in over 10 years. The poached salmon and the dessert table is my fave. Glad you enjoyed it!
I'd never heard of this restaurant until this video came up in my suggestions but I think we will have to give it a try after seeing such a great selection. We miss a good buffet and so many have closed. Thx for the video Tim, love the shirt! Shalom from the 905. ✌️
Hey Tim, great to see you back in Toronto! We've passed by The Hothouse many times, but have never stopped in. After seeing the Sunday Brunch Buffet, we'll have to give it a try. We're heading to Vancouver in the spring, to stay for the summer, so we're going to rewatch some of your videos for some great places to eat. Cheers :)
Looked great!I really enjoy watching you doing these vlogs!I get to live vicariously through this as I am homebound. I can't travel like I used to,so watching your videos helps me !Thank you!
It’s great to have run into you yesterday at Costco Tim! Sorry for the intrusion with you and your mom. Hopefully she doesn’t mind my rudeness but we love all your videos and got excited to have seen you in person. 😂
Great video Tim. Everything looked so good. You were in my old stomping grounds, I used to live one block east of the St, Lawrence market and have eaten in that restaurant, but didn't know they had a buffet on Sunday. Thanks for taking us along.
I just found your channel - awesome video! I'm so glad the Hot House is open again, I remember always going to the omelette station :) Hope you enjoyed your time in my home of Toronto. Can't wait to see more videos!
Hi Tim, sorry you missed visiting our St. Lawrence Market. As of July 31, 2022 the market is open on Sundays 10 am to 5 pm. Hope you can come back for another visit. Safe travels and eating!!!
Lovely Brunch buffet! Thanks for sharing my birthday cake. Twenty-five years ago, my Mom and I visited Toronto relatives, who took us to a big Chinese Buffet place for dim sum and etc. I don't know if it is still around.
What a lovely brunch buffet! Although I am a bit annoyed I have to dig out the cake pan and make my own banana chocolate cake🤣 as I'm too far from Toronto for a quick trip! It was my Grandmother's specialty and I loved it! Have never seen for sale in any venue tho! Thanks for taking a try of it 🙂! I don't like French toast - but that topping! I would have to give that a try. Once again, thank you for sharing in your delightful way!
We're strangers caught out your name? So kewl 😇🙏 That Buffet actually makes me want to eat. Jai to the French Toast. And happy Halloween welcoming us to a new winter 😎 Well done 👍
What's sad is that this video is uploaded 2 weeks ago and it looks so nice n sunny. And now Nov 20. The weather is so snowy (butt beautiful). Great video 👍
always a good day to see you back in Canada, I hope one day your work brings you down to the Capital! In Ottawa we have a Tuckers Marketplace scheduled to open soon, I'd love a review to know if its any bit as good as it used to be!
there's one there now yes, it came in january. new owners, pink chicken , dirty dishes. not worth going to for non entertainment purposes. @@leahmcronald9196
Such a great video. Love your enthusiasm and the wonderful interactions you have with the staff. Just a suggestion, it would be interesting if you could do a video on the newly re-opened Fallsview casino buffet, however not sure if you can record with it being in a casino. Keep up the great content, Tim, and take care!
Everything looks great. I definitely will be checking it out. Thank you for tge review. But I have one question....how do you eat so much? Lol. My stomach started hurting on your second plate!
This also reminds me of the Novotel hotel breakfast buffet in North York. They stopped having the Mother's Day open to public buffet and the ladies at the desk were snobs to me saying I couldn't have a table unless I stay at the hotel. But this is like so AMAZING and is the exact thing I've been looking for a breakfast buffet. I also know of Mother Tucker's by the airport and miss Frankie Tomatoe's since they closed down. This is so nice to see! Another two buffets are; Copcabana and Rodeo
So sorry to hear... Most hotels allow anyone to dine at the restaurants... This is a nice find and very comforting too.. was a bit concerned when I saw how small it was in front, but glad to find the other section of the buffet 😃
I know your post is a year old but, your comment...near the airport caught me, I have family flying in with a 8 hour layover , do you have any suggestions for nice /good food restaurants near Pearson, patio would rock! ?
Nice video Tim 😄downtown Toronto is beautiful 😍buffet looks good although it's a bit dangerous 😆 my wife doesn't like banana either so the reaction is going to be similar to your but x10 😄
I've been to Hot House many times and when it was $35 it was a great deal for a Buffet, but now it's $45 and for just $5 more you can go to the Old Mill for their Sunday Buffet which to me is way better.
$35 seems like a great deal for such a great looking buffet especially in Toronto during these inflationary times. I don't know how the owners can afford to do this! It would be interesting to know what the prices were pre-covid? This would be a good way to gauge how much the major grocery chains (Loblaws, Metro) have used covid as an excuse to rip-off all of us! I'm glad to see that the Hot-House survived the controlled demolition of small businesses in Toronto during the Covid insanity. It is a Toronto institution that has been around for over 20 years as far as I am aware. In the late '90's and early 2000's I used to go to the flea market almost every Sunday at the St. Lawrence market with my best friend. We were both vegetarians back then so I never went there for brunch thinking I wouldn't get my money's worth, but I remember always looking through the windows drooling at the amazing spread of food inside. I'm no longer a vegetarian but other factors prevent me from going today.
Isn't 6 weekdays enough time to go shopping?? Sunday should be a day for families to have together, to go to Church, to rest, to be with best friends. It is after all the Day of The Lord. But most people seem to have forgotten, or never even heard.
Had to look for another breakfast buffet video after this morning's new video...what a lovely city and that buffet place looks really nice I love the way they have the food presented, everything looks so good. I really like Shakshuka but i have never seen it in a buffet. The end piece is the best piece or the edges rather especially the corners. That desert station was small but that's all they needed had some really good looking picks coconut ice cream made me want that with grilled pineapples and peaches good stuff. Nice looking place.
It is quite a nice buffet… Great value, and lots of comfort food. I would love a coconut ice cream with grilled peaches pineapple… That would have really hit the spot.
its a superskill to be yourself and so kind and vlog somewhere youve never been to.. with random people.. love the authenticity 😃
That French toast made my stomach growl.!!Wow what a good spread. I've been a waitress for 18 years and I wish everyone treated me the way you do.Breath of fresh air and so humble
Wowza!! That's a lot of food 😳 😋
Thank you for sharing this. Never heard of this place until now.

My boyfriend and I just visited this place after seeing your video and it was great 😊
HotHouse is our family go-to Sunday's brunch. Thanks for sharing.
Omg thanks for sharing this great video! I'll have to come and visit with my daughters.
It's a really nice Sunday brunch buffet. Really enjoyable 🙂

Welcome to Toronto 😊

So glad it was so close by 🙂
I remember a buffet called the Savarin near there....but about sixty years ago. Cheers to you.
Wow! Those girls were super excited
I'd never heard of this restaurant until this video came up in my suggestions but I think we will have to give it a try after seeing such a great selection. We miss a good buffet and so many have closed. Thx for the video Tim, love the shirt! Shalom from the 905. ✌️
Always wonderful to see someone appreciating great food! The French toast looked amazing💜
I really appreciate how you appreciate the way food is prepared and presented!

My old neck of the working woods. Yes, the Hot House is great. I've only been once, but it was very memorable.
Tim… I hope you can eat all that !
Minutes later…. You sure did!!! Great job Tim, thanks for sharing!
When you said best buffet brunch in Toronto I knew it was Hot House Cafe. I love that place!! Thanks for posting.
Welcome back to Toronto Tim! Glad to have you back.

Great video Tim. Everything looked so good. You were in my old stomping grounds, I used to live one block east of the St, Lawrence market and have eaten in that restaurant, but didn't know they had a buffet on Sunday. Thanks for taking us along.

Another good one for the books, excellent vlog Tim.
Some more very tasty looking buffet items here. Cheers, Tim and God Bless! 👍👍✌️🇨🇦
Tim thanks for this! I lived down street from this place, now living in California I really miss it!
I love how you blame the serving spoons!!! 😂 I love this video you are so smooth and easy to listen to and funny. Do you mean to be funny?
That's my story and I'm sticking to it 😉. It's tempting enough to get a big portion without the big serving spoon 😉
Hi Tim. I'm glad you enjoyed Hothouse brunch buffet. If you're still in town, do visit the St. Lawrence Market, it's a fun foodie place.
Great looking buffet, Tim! Well done with all your selections!
Always nice to see you in TO, Tim. It's an OK spread at a decent price. You need to be parsimonious with the word "legendary".
We're strangers caught out your name? So kewl 😇🙏
That Buffet actually makes me want to eat. Jai to the French Toast. And happy Halloween welcoming us to a new winter 😎 Well done 👍
Tim you're eating good. Nothing but love

You had me both at "brunch" and "buffet". 😄

Great to see Canada video's back
Hey Tim I've been to that buffet years ago
My daughter took me there. She new the previous owners.
omg I want to try this.

The food looked delicious. Great info. Thanks Tim for this food review.
I love a really good buffet. Keep up the good work 👏
I used to have the same shirt! When I was 8 in 1977!

Trying to find either brunch or diner buffet in Vancouver, do you have some suggestions where are some places that are good?
Potato salad is also my favourite type of salad.
Love that we have that in common 🙂
When your travelling Vancouver BC ?. Tim
Yum
I live in Toronto and had no idea this was even here! I would love to do a collab with you next time you're in town.
I've been to Hot House many times and when it was $35 it was a great deal for a Buffet, but now it's $45 and for just $5 more you can go to the Old Mill for their Sunday Buffet which to me is way better.

Toronto has such good food.
The banana cake wasn't that good huh? Nothing beats that buffet you went to in Waikiki!
