I was born in Santa Ana and raised in Sacramento CA, but I just visited for the first Time in my life this year. I loved it, so glad to see you guys giving my little home country love and the time of day. god bless you guys! Been a subscriber for a while and its great to see your guys growth!
Only in El Salvador !!! Yucca pupusas & peanuts horchata ! Delicious ! Awesome you two ! Thank you for sharing ! I love your sharing of Artisanal towns & Hot Springs !
Those Fillo's Walking Tamales are a go to lunch for me. If you get them from Amazon in a variety pack you also get desert Tamales as well. I found them about a year ago in a local gas station. Now I get them either on line or at Wal-Mart. Great video today. Safe travels you two.
That was cool to get a quide so you could learn new fruits and the coffee must smell Devine 🎉 Thanks for taking us to another great country 😍! JO JO IN VT💞🍁
are jocotes de corona ciruelas? i grew up in mexico and my grandma had these trees and the fruit looked just like that. i loved eating them when they were still green, and a favorite of me and my grandpa was to eat the leaves with some salt. delicious!
Awesome ! My grandfather was a coffee picker back in the day in El Salvador ! Popusas! I didn't see any silverware lol 😂 my grandma would say, "las popusas nose comen con eso" hah awesome video guys
Omg,you guys are so bless eating all those tropical fruta that I miss so much,if you guys are still there try to buy the president 's coffee growing in his finca it's # 1 in the market, hope you enjoy my litle country and thank you for visiting it
You seem to have a vibe more from the US than Mexico in a language and tourist way but it is nice to see. Cancelar is pagar most times, and you can use it both ways. A tropical fruit video would have been great, some of the fruit you ate is probably really local or non existente in other places and was intriguing. I dont think you can say "sale" or "platicar" like thank you and chat locally there, it happened to my Mexican aunt here and the waiter was like you want me to leave or is it a weird way to ask for salt but it was funny anyways. Most people think spanish is all the same, interesting in your perspective. Great video thanks.
If you guys are still down there give that mushroom a chance. Way back in the days, My grandma used to saute tenquique and mix in a couple eggs. She served it with refried red or black beans, crema on the beans and a tortilla on the side. With a glass of fresh milk after 6 yr old me helped grandpa milk the cows. It's rare to find tenquique at most restaurants there due to it's seasonal and it's pricy at restaurants.
The first yuca plantation in the world with proof of existence is in El Salvador, a Mayan village that was buried by a volcano, the ruins are called Joya de Ceren
That small fruit : we call it sineguelas in the Philippines, then the "anonas" with pink flesh that looks like jackfruit. Yes, it came from the family of jackfruit just like the breadfruit that Taku cooked in Hawaii
12:22. I hope it's not 42C, that's 108F and 46C is 115F. That's a slow simmer for humans! 40C is jacuzzi temp at 104F. I've only been to the airport in El Salvador. Looks like I might need a few days layover next time.
that's a valid point , "cancelar" here mean "pay" but also "cancelar" may mean "cancel" depending the context however if you order something in a shop and the cashier says "cancelar" means pay , we barely use "cancelar" as cancel , "ya no" is more like "cancel" here
Wrong UA-cam channel. Taklyn the world is more laid back. I love it. Cant wait til they get back to their house up in the hills. I love the fishing videos too.
It is kind of funny to see people's reaction to a new type of food or fruit. Someone said the other day: "My brain is not registering this flavor." Tortilla soup is ok, but do not try "sopa de pata," unless you don't mind the smell of it. Thank you for the video, I am glad you are happy in ES.
Does anyone know the name of that tour guide? Does she have a Facebook or Twitter page? The lady is nice and outgoing. I'd love to have her guide us when we visit El Salvador next month
Don't let anyone tell you not to use 🍴 for pupusas People have been pushing that hard in recent years as a sort of identity thing but its made up I go with hands if its quick, no plate and nothing on top just a quick pupusa but with sauce and curtido on a plate you have to, this the actual natural way. Not sucking on your fingers like an animal I am against this facade of "culture" when its made up for identities sake
The tour guide should emphasize that the word alwashte is a Nagualt word and was used by the Indians, although in modern times it is simply pumpkin seeds roasted in a pan and ground to make that powder as a condiment for some foods.

OMG GUYS! I'm so happy and honored that you visited my country! ❤❤❤
Aww it’s always nice to see other people enjoying and exploring El Salvador, especially beyond just San Salvador or El Tunco.
Yea keep thinking that it’s only a matter of time before it gets taken over like Costa Rica
@@MilkdejeanWell at the very least there seems to be a lot of people from the Salvadoran diaspora choosing to invest in properties and such.

Love those mangos I’ve only seen them in Hawaii and Philippines!
Make sure you try Caldo de Pata. It's like Menudo from Mexico, but better!
Mejor??? No lo creo
In Puerto Rico, we have alcapurrias de yuca, meat filled yuca fritters
The first yuca plantation in the world with proof of existence is in El Salvador, a Mayan village that was buried by a volcano, the ruins are called Joya de Ceren

How many days was your trip. Did you take all public trans… I’m going next week very nervous.
I’m going to try your breakfast snacks recommended from Jocelyn ; “Fillos walking tamales “ keep doing what you both do 🥢🚣🏻♀️🏊🏻♀️✈️⛱️🏝️🏠
I eat it more for trail hikes or other outdoor adventures. We just had it for breakfast because we had no other choices. lol
Tasty sweet jocote y anona 👍
Is it dangerous there? My husband was in the Peace Corps in the 90’s and he has talked about the gang violence in El Salvador.
Not anymore. It is safe
Papusas, I almost choked on my water. I seriously thought I heard something else.
