Your traveling days have come around - from the cold showers and wild critters darting thru the bathroom and following thru with freezing your bonzolies off while unde r dressed on the skooter to roughing it in love hotels and funky little cars in Japan you two always share a great trip, thanks for all the memorable times.
All hail the youtube algorithm! Also: Yeay for sheep-hugging endeavours! Basically the castle is a mini version of "Neuschwanstein" in Germany - which doesn't have the trick art but is still a major tourist trap ;)
I've been there to the "worst castle" and thought it was pretty cool to see a replica newschaunstein castle and like 10 other replicas like statue of liberty etc. Cheesy yes but still interesting in my book. The stuff to see across the street on the outside is WAY better then what's inside the castle.
That faux castle and stone area were developed for the residents (in part) of the care facility, according to information relayed by (I believe) John Daub from a video some years ago, and the entrance fees are to help maintain the care home as well as the attractions.
Oh.. that parking break GPS lock is so familiar. We ran into the very same issue when we rented cars on our Japan adventures. It's so bizarre why that is a thing.
I went to Himeji Castle in March 2015 (just after the renovations were completed) during the cherry blossom seasons and it was a very beautiful experience! The castle + cherry blossoms were beautiful, had a Hanami picnic in the park that's next to the castle, oh, and there were quite a few cats as well! lol
Hey! I love Japan with all of its weirdness. Sure you would be annoyed with stuff like this, but for me this was an awesome journey. Big like for you two. A small masterpiece again... Cheers!
I dunno, I thought the Random Crap Castle was kind of hilarious, but I love things like that. The statues were really cool at least! Sorry the trip wasn't as great as you'd hoped, but thanks for sharing! It was fun to go along!
You guys once went to Lancaster UK castle - where I live - and it rained. And you also stayed in a Scottish castle when it was cold. Real castles need age, weather, war and history to be fully qualified.
Sheep hugging, ball sniffing and Peach's castle from Super Mario 64 mixed with whatever fragments they got from when they were drinking at the hatmakers party with little Alice. I am always amazed by the range your adventure and outings has :D I am not sure i would like being "Sucked into a castle" sounds ominous and unpleasent. Haha.. mixing arms and boobs togheter can have fatal and dire consequences, if they would have been made out of flesh that is :) I watched the whole thing and it did not feel like an hour at all, it went by so fast, felt more like twenty minutes :) Thanks for another great adventure video! Always enjoy them!
0:18 Sheep are just big fluffy bunnies. 3:32 You have flying cows in Japan? 8:44 When an Eric-sized bite goes wrong. 20:54 "When I stand here, nothing!" Me: "Oh wow the gargoyles and stairs actually look 3D!" 22:34 This castle is like Tom Tits in Sweden without being the tits. 29:11 Oh yeah, you already showed the Kyde salad in a Japan video ages ago. Even longer ago, a grocery store here used to sell salad bags with sauce packets in it that you had to mix and shake. They took it out of their product range, because I probably was the only one buying these. 31:24 Aren't all cars of this style called Andre 3000? 44:04 Fika now known as golden hour? 48:02 "Please touch a sheet" - I'd rather take an order seat at Saizeriya than a touch a shitto.
That so weird they would put a walking path near an assistant living facility. Near my apartment in Kyoto there was one, and there were signs on the main road that basically said no public entry, please be mindful of noise. The apartment manger told me that those roads were closed to the public, even though they were short cuts and didn't even go really go next to the facility or see the facility from the road.
From the outside this castle looks like a german person described Neuschwanstein Castle to some japanese people and they then decided to build it from that description
Ah, the lovely Hyogo coastline, where one can enjoy beautiful sights such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Kobelco Iron Works! Actually looking at the Google map it looks like a few waterside parks have been created since the time I lived in the area decades ago. Himeji Castle certainly is worth a visit.
I think that fake German Castle cater to those Cos-player groups that wanted good Background pictures to their different costumes. That's why there's those weird Chandelier room. Magic circles and that Sci-fi white room.
35:13 The navigation system is designed for people with no friends. The designers think you'll be driving alone, and they want you safely stopped when you start punching buttons.
I thought my KIA GPS was bad having to be in park to put in a destination.(At least it tells you on screen) I never use a emergency parking brake ever.
Man that castle was a huge let down, like from a distance it looked pretty cool then they just i don't know bought random shit and put it inside lol. I do agree the throne room was probably the best part. Boy this just got weirder lol, path between assisted living buildings, Oh and full stop being awful. lol oh no every gas station is an adventure. Also Shinkansen sushi delivery :O
ok prediction i m at 16:07 and kyde said that the castle will have a south east asia nostalgia for them, i m thinking of that strange house with all those strange things inside from one of the old trips let's see if im right or not
it wasn't what i thought but cool nonetheless, the castle part looked a bit like instagram attraction, where people just go to take pictures, not my style, but the statues garden was pretty interesting, but i don't think i would go out of my way to see this
I don't think I have laughed so hard in my life as I did when eric, raw eating that ball. K, with fear in her voice-"thats really hot!!!" E- "ahh thats a little hot, fresh off the grill"
Any day is good if there is a pony. The castle was so bad it was amusing to see you suffer through it. That Kyde salad hack looks delicious, actually. Seems like a Vietnamese salad - lots of stuff mixed together. I'll try it when I'm in Japan. I love these adventures because 80% of the time you guys visit places no other J-UA-camr visits. They copied the Terracotta Army - Whaaaaaaaaaat!? Japan doubles down HARD on the domestic market. Even getting Gas is an adventure! It's the little things that you can enjoy - taking joy in the regular confusion of Japanese life.
I don't know how hard I'd suggest making a Kyde salad, hahah! Thanks by the way, at this point we have filmed *so many* places in Japan we gotta hit things that aren't on everyone's radar. Plus those are the places we find amusing, so it works out! -E
,, I can't imagine what these discount world effigies r like for global travelers, it kinda reminds me of when I go shopping, choose all the needed ingredients, work out I've got like a million dollars of produce, turn the corner & find they've got a ready-meal for 1 of exactly what I'm trying to make,, except it's 6bucks!! And when u take that home it's teeny-tiny & tastes nothing like what you wanted to eat😟 ,, or something ✨😏🤷❕❕❕🌺🌸🌺🌺🌸🌺🌸🌸🌺💮

Holy hell Eric you've got a long 👅 tongue
THAT nickelodeon show was called "Legends of the Hidden Temple" :)
always grateful for taking us along for the ride, however lame it may feel on your end or however fun haha.

Yea, the inside of the castle is terrible. Everything outside it is fine.
HAH! Loving that hidden little sheep around @3:22 XD
that was very cute!!

Great trip all together. Loving the tours. When do you think you’ll go beyond Japan again?
I just got the notification for this 3 minutes ago, yet some viewers have left comments from 4 days ago. 👏for YT.
Oh, that's not a YT failure, people on Patreon get access to videos a few days early for their support. -E
@@kydeanderic Got it. Thanks.

You never get to hear Kyde & Eric speak Japanese. Its so cool to hear the skills when dealing with the change machine.
Oh yaaaaasssss. A perfect Saturday treat 😍

Yo, those gas station shenanigans would drive me nuts!!!!!D
'Beauty in the eye of the beholder': I actually don't mind the design of that 6th generation Suzuki Wagon R...
Trippy castle with off all things 2 skeletons singing Sonny and Cher, lmao
I love the quirks and features!!
Lots of odd chaos in this episode..

Nice area Hyogo in Japan. Nice video as always.
From the outside this castle looks like a german person described Neuschwanstein Castle to some japanese people and they then decided to build it from that description
As someone who has been to Neuschwanstein, from a distance the top half looks decent.
Eric & Kyde, the little ponies, remind you of your tour of Northern Scotland ?
What kind of mad person makes a painting with a polar bear & a penguin ? Talk about polar opposites !
lol oh boy
Thanks!
I want to visit Japan so bad because the country is clean, safe, and orderly. NYC, where I grew up, is the exact opposite of all that.

"Soggy omelette balls" is a band name waiting for a band to find it
Wow Eric, great tongue work at the end of the vid. I bet that's why Kyde has stayed with u all of these years 😉
I hope the prince and princes live happily ever after in that castle.
The game show was Legend of the Hidden Temple on Nickelodeon
What a surreal castle. Is this someone's trippy vision of a European castle
Yea...I guess? -E
I think that fake German Castle cater to those Cos-player groups that wanted good Background pictures to their different costumes. That's why there's those weird Chandelier room. Magic circles and that Sci-fi white room.
even for that purpose it was half assed and lame hahaha
I know this was recorted some time ago , but for present day ... how well do you face your alergie ? Masks and/or meds?
I don't recall the allergy you are mentioning? Do you mean my (Eric's) problems with milk? But you said mask so I'm drawing a blank haha. -E
35:13 The navigation system is designed for people with no friends. The designers think you'll be driving alone, and they want you safely stopped when you start punching buttons.
0:16:38 Fernuncular would be a good band or album name.
Hahaha holy crap that castle is wild
Did Kyde just invent the word "ballular" there?
I'm pretty sure she's said it before hahahahha -E

@36:34. Nickelodeon's Temple of Doom
For me the castle seems so tacky and weird that it honestly seems enjoyable. I honestly want to go the next time we're in the area.

I think the little pony’s are called “pleasure pony’s”. Not sure why.
I think it's pretty obvious why hahaha
and octopus tacos...
I don't think I have laughed so hard in my life as I did when eric, raw eating that ball. K, with fear in her voice-"thats really hot!!!" E- "ahh thats a little hot, fresh off the grill"
I had to stop the video and find out what a group of sheep is called.

28:44 And now for the out of context moment.
$4.39 per gallon
Sheep can be in herds *or* flocks. :)
Sneaky!
@@kydeanderic this is why we can't trust sheep
Thank you for doing that horrible castle so we don't have to!
Look, the castle may have been trash - but I, for one, am very happy for all those princes in their polygamous gay marriage, living their best lives 🥰
Needs giraffes next castle.
This has never occurred to me before but is lamb not a widely eaten meat in Japan?? I’ve never seen it in any Japanese cuisine 🤔
it exists, often at Indian restaurants but also in a dish called "Genghis Khan" famous in Hokkaido
It would be $4.39 a gallon. Says 151 yen is $1.16. 3.785 liters per gallon. So $4.39
that's not so bad! good maths. -E
So cheaper than it currently is in California! Something tells me prices have gone up substantially in Japan since the recording of this video.
pleasuring the bot
Did Kyde mean Funicular???
A castle for Instagrammers. How depressing. And I bet used to be a really interesting place.
hahahahah, im not sure it was ever interesting, I think? it was built for this "purpose"
yes lmfao... full stop🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
