  • taking this truck to an entirely new level. I always wanted super singles on the rear of my truck but...….I think I like the way they look on the front also....what do you all think? how fast do you think it would be till we got pulled over? should we do 4 super singles? i'm digging the look. if you think we should go super singles all around please share this video, comment like and subscribe if you haven't already. if this video does well we will do supers to all 4 corners and get them painted a custom color along with the lower half of the truck.

    I’m a truck driver and drive over 100K miles a year. Keep those super singles in the back youll save weight and fuel but super singles were never intended to be steer tires. There’s a reason DOT requires specific regulations on steers. The truck looks nice that way but you have daughters to think about and the looks of your truck aren’t worth the safety. Get those super singles on the back and some firestone FS591 steers

    • @maddog8911capt
      @maddog8911capt 5 років тому +5

      I'll second Max Espinosa comment, been in the trucking industry (class 7 & 8) for almost 10yrs now. The DOT/State Patrol will eat you alive for super singles on the steer... Just put them on the rear and enjoy, leave the front to correct wheels and tires for you, your family, and everyone around you on the road safety. You won't get a fix it ticket, you'll get straight up towed and impounded if you go public roads with those up front.
      Not to mention replacing ball joints every weekend, wheel bearing assemblies every other weekend, and tie rods once a month...

      Ive been changing semi tires for 20yrs and can tell horror stories of those blowing and destroying everything!! 70mph and sling 100lbs of rubber around?? It wraps around the axle, locks that position up and/or bend an s cam, flat spots rims and ive personaly seen this destroy a disc brake system on a truck. Caps only on trailers. Can always unhook. These look great on design paperwork. Lol!

    I think adding 220 lbs of rotating mass with the wrong offset to each corner is a disaster waiting to happen. Ur gonna wear EVERYTHING out fast. Your braking distance is going WAY up, ur acceleration time is going down, ur traction is going down in all conditions other than dry. Wide is cool but not when it's done in a half assed way.
