Back to the basket moves are almost extinct in high power offenses unless u have embiid, kat, or jokic. Even with kat or jokic they still prefer to play out on the perimeter and usually pass out of the post game. Look at kristaps on the mavs. He’s pretty terrible in the post but he is elite everywhere else. The mavs coach has even said that the modern nba offense is at its best when you can have a big man on the perimeter because back to the basket game just isn’t good offense anymore
Almost every elite big man in the NBA, not including KP, is capable of scoring with their back to the basket. You are correct about how the modern NBA values bigs who can play outside and I stated that in the video. But you can not say it wouldn’t benefit Chet if he develops some type of post up game because there is no guarantee he’ll be elite in other areas of the game like how KP is.
I think the sole purpose of having a back to basket game in the modern NBA is to diversify your skill set. Yes the perimeter type play is extremely valuable but you always want to have a consistent part of your game to rely on if one other part isn't working. For example, would if Chet gets shut down on the perimeter or has a bad shooting game. Well he can't rely on back to the basket because he never worked on it. Yes perimeter play is good for the overall offense but only when you are consistent with it. If you are having a bad game and have nothing else to rely on, that's when the defense has officially shut you down. As a big man, you should always have a back to the basket move to rely on.
this guy has the same body that Shawn Bradley had (obviously a different skillset). He need to put on a ton of muscle, but not too much, just the right amount. But hey, if he can figure it out, he can be a one of a kind player
In your opinion, who is the best player in the 2021 class? (I apologize for butchering Chet’s first name throughout the video lol my mistake.)
Emoni Bates when he reclasses, but currently: AJ Griffin
I think it’s either Paolo Banchero or AJ Griffin
Do Aj griffin
Hoops Perspective you gotta do khristian lander or any of the 2022 guys
Hoops Perspective why do you pronounce Chet as she’s?😂😭
He makes bol bol look swole
And they praise him c
We have these guys every draft Bol bol, James Wiseman and now Chet
awesome vid , you should do keyonte george next
Nice breakdown
He will definitely need to play power forward in the nba. He needs to increase his already impressive lateral quickness though to keep up in that spot
Facts the guy has elite skills to make it far
Sam Presti eyes 👀
a more athletic Kaminsky and has Kaminsky's shooting stroke and can score inside and can handle the ball like a guard
He must put solid muscles right away since his height is already enough for a small forward. He should master his threes and jumpers...
You should do whole team reviews
You saying “Shet” is driving me crazy,
So stop watching the video lol
Do a breakdown on Deshaun Ruffin
Please do a vid on Pat Baldwin Jr
