This whole album feels way more optimistic, melodic and positive than any other album! It's a great companion piece along with the darkness of The Nothing. And yes! Definite Deftones vibes.
JD has a new Girlfriend now and has found happiness in his life again after the death of his ex wife, I'd say that's the main reason for the more optimistic lyrics.
This is my favorite song on the album. Absolutely beautiful, lyrics hit so hard.
With you saying deftone vibes, and every now and then on this album I get Alice in Chains Vibe.

Personally I didn't connect with Disconnect. JD sang the chorus like he was bored and the bridge wasn't that good either. The whole album could have been better and longer..
not a fan of the album rushed and underwhelming .. I like the last track that's about it
