I know you all hear me drone on incessantly about how much fishing is like life....well....it is....
To be successful in fishing you gotta be able to try continuously, fail frequently, adjust the approach and NEVER lose enthusiasm that the next cast will be the new PB..... Eva and I thought this one was going to be pay-dirt but it was not to be.
It surprised us how heavy this fish was. My thought was either a sizable shark or big black drum. My ‪@TempleForkOutfitters‬ Tactical Inshore rod in medium handled this really, really well. I had a ‪@ShimanoNorthAmericaFishing‬ Tranx 151 packed with 20 lb. Power Pro braid with 30 lb. ‪@fishseaguar‬ fluoro leader. The ‪@ZManFishingProducts‬ 5" DieZel MinnowZ in purple was ALL we threw for a couple days and this is what fooled this fish.
Well, it's better to have fought and lost than never to have fought at all.....OK, I'm paraphrasing Ole' Bill Shakespeare here but you get the idea.
