Hey Guys! I just want to add that mental health isn’t something that is simply resolved in 30 days, but is something that takes consistent effort to maintain. So by no means is my journey with mental health complete, but I’ve definitely taken some steps to take better care of myself and put myself on a better track. If y’all have any advice or suggestions on how you upkeep your mental health, I’d love to read them in the comments.
    Cheers guys!
    -Cam

If you have to work longer, get up earlier but go to sleep earlier as well. You will work faster in the morning than powering through an all nighter.

Hey, loved your video. Something I've done when working from home is taking my laptop and supplies to a cafe with WiFi. I put headphones and music to drown out distractions, but the mere fact that I was in a buzzing place really helped with feelings of isolation. Being around people helps my mental health, just as getting quiet me time. Getting out to my favorite cafe really helps, especially if they have free WiFi 😉

The truth is we really shouldn't chase happiness all the time, we should seek to live a healthy life for ourselves and those around us, if happiness comes through that pursuit than it's a great thing.

When I try to eat more vegetables and exercise everyday, I notice a big difference. Cured my depression. No joke. Try to lay off caffeine. Sucks I know.

I get so depressed I can't even get myself to exercise sometimes. Eating veggies is a good start when it gets that bad. Also, spending time (even just 5 minutes) outside, just sitting in the sunshine. You get vitamin D and it helps you produce melatonin which helps you stay alert during the day and helps you sleep at night. One day, I couldn't even get out of bed because I felt so depressed. So I forced myself to sit outside to watch UA-cam instead of laying in bed to do the same thing. It helped SO much, almost immediately!

The secret to crushing anxiety and stress is to live in the present moment.
How to live in the present moment?
    Take a cold shower.
Work out to the point where breathing is appreciated.
Do something that makes you uncomfortable.

I definitely felt burned out my first semester of college. I was over sleeping, over stressed, not eating a lot, and failing classes. It takes effort to build healthy habits that improve your happiness and keep that necessary stress at a manageable level. I started cooking meals at home, setting a bed time, hitting the gym, and spending more time at the library to finish homework. Now I'm in my second semester of college and doing way better! :) Glad you found healthy ways to take care of yourself Cam !

Cam! Glad to hear you are on the up. Life for me is a constant flow of ups and downs. I definitely can relate to the feeling you described at the start. My negative spiral goes into drinking, partying, iphone games & just that lack of energy to put towards my happier & higher level tasks. Glad to see you are taking great steps to push through. Maybe a meditation challenge or morning routine challenge could be a good upcoming one to continue the trend?

Just for that alone, I appreciate this video! That's not to say I didn't like the rest of it. All of it was great.

If you are at peace and nothing goes on in your head 24*7, I mean if you think only when it's necessary, then you can be happy even without owning a lot of money and luxuries. You just need the luxury of MENTAL PEACE. It is a luxury nowadays as not many possess this.
The biggest thing for me is Mental Peace.

I thought when you said the coffee thing it was almost poetic. But coffee is an addiction, tbh you'd feel less stressed without it overall. It helps give you mental focus, added energy and sometimes a boost in mood, but it pulls from you later in the day. In a way it's like energy drinks that may give you energy to but your body was telling you that you're needing sleep for a reason. I doubt this comment will be well liked since coffee is such a key thing in so many peoples lives, but honestly after cutting it out its helped my body regulate mood, energy, and mental clarity quite a lot.

Enjoyed the vid, but was left with the feeling that you were mainly stressed because of the large work task you had to get through rather than your overall life situation. That makes me asks two questions 1) Do you think you would have been able to implement the concepts from "cozy" if you had a more constant high work load? 2) Do you feel that the term "stress" is mis/over-used to describe any challenging situations people find themselves in?
