I have the same model you have I changed out the whole front end and the suspension and it's still working today and I guarantee it's all thanks to the upgrades.

huge engine but not huge power... more like 20hp... u can get a 250 cc honda engine and get 50 hp out of that... or like 900 cc engine that does 150+ hp.. now thats some real power..
@@larsvegas1505 You can score new name brand engines like Briggs ebay for the same price as the Chinese junk you can't get parts for. I scored a 24hp Briggs shipped for 740 recently. Have fun getting parts for that engine.

Be sure both pipes for each cylinder has the same exact bends and is the same length to get the best performance out of it if you want good all around power
Great job my friend. I already subscribed. . I bought a Chinese dune buggy, super cute, but it began falling apart right away. . In a span of 6 months I had to call the tow truck 5 or 6 times. The electrical components were of the lowest quality. I had to change many parts. I had already spent about 10% of what I paid for it brand new. The warranty was very limited. . BUT, I love it. Where I live is street legal, and finding a parking space is a breeze.

I had one of these buggys for my goddaughter (served with her father in Iraq in 09) we took her in shortly after, had a blown motor and saved for months to be able to afford a used 600cc motor to swap in it, whilst it was in the yard on the trailer, criminals broke the lock and hauled both of them away, she was devastated but I'm not sure who was more upset, her or me. Someday we hope to get another buggy and swap the motor so we can ride together.

This thing is gonna RIP! The engine you pulled out is actually a GY6 150cc, my personal favorite engine tbh. Yeah, as a person who's been running Chinese scooters for almost four years, the frames and the engines are good....its just the stuff ATTACHED to the frames and engines that are horrible lol. I'm honestly surprised the 670 fit!
@Vasily Custom Builds I highly recomend that if you could to get a older polaris Trail Boss trans because it will have High, Low, Neutral, Reverse and you can hook up a speedometer to it, You wouldn't have to worry a bought the 670 blowing up those trans because they can actually take a lot of power. and also with the polaris trans, you could hook the secondary clutch from the cvt kit for the 670 right up to the trans and they are not even that big either
I just sold a BAJA Dune 150 which is almost identical and also made by Tomberlin. I love the GY6 150's. Very reliable and very tuneable. Performance CDI's and Coil and Plug pkgs are $10 on ebay. The weights (SlidersvRollers??)in the front pulley of the Torque Converter are also $10 a set, and a 1500RPM Torque Spring set for the rear Clutch assembly is $10. Foam air filter and 125 main jet will cost you $10. All on ebay. Find CarsandCameras here on youtube. Kindred souls.

Before you cut that sprocket off the axle,or cut the axle,please look at 2-piece bolt on sprockets.A few holes drilled,and multiple gear choices may be better?That cart is So clean !Great find,and start.
I've owned over a dozen Chinese Buggies. Dazon, Joyner, KANDI, Carter, Dune, ROKETA,...etc. 150's w the GY6 air cooled motor, and 250's with the CN250 water cooled motor. All very reliable and inexpensive to modify, upgrade, and repair and replace parts. To this day you can get anything and everything you need from several sources, ebay and buggydepot are great sources. Bang for the buck,.. these are untouchable!! I raced motocross, a local champ. Know what I'm talkin' about.

I have a FZR 1100 engine and trans on my chinese dune buggy. Ive stretched and lifted it as well as changed the suspension and steering to a much better quality. Its insanely quick and will do well over 100 mph
forged rods n valve spring upgrade 28 or 32 mm carbs or custon intake and a weber 2 barrel 32 / 34 mm car carb in the 22hp or an old yamaha virgo engine i think they were chain or belt drive manual gears
Parts are hard to find for thoughs and in less u want a cast iron flywheel blowing apart into the back of your head or a clutch bell housing flying your way doing 5000+ rpms I wouldn't use nos
Hi from the UK, I did something very similar to a similar buggy about 30 years ago when I was about 20, except it was a 250cc 2-stroke twin motorcycle engine I fitted. I took off a 8hp Briggs & Stratton engine.
I have about an 05 carter talon 150cc was talking about moding it with a Kawasaki 750cc and watching these vids on modin them with big motors like this helps see what im getting my self in to before i really start this project thanks love watching you'lls vids

Can you put some outboard type of spacers or relocate the perches where the shocks are, and leave the motor lined up with your drivetrain. ?just a tought . Good work, subscribed.!
Why not remove the complete rear cradle and work on it at a convenient height, this way you can roll it into any position you want, you will learn as you go along there are things you can do that make the job a lot easier.
The gy6 is such a capable motor though. They are very popular in the Honda Ruckus community and I've seen EFI and turbo kits made for them. that would have been far more impressive that that v twin from Harbor freight.
It's really tricky because I don't know what your going for. But I'd say go with the cheapest one on eBay. You'll be able to fix it if it breaks and learn and move on.
Yeah. Just know the 80cc is the marketing term, 66cc is actual displacement. You want to make sure it has Japanese bearings, and preferably a long rod. eBay description should mention this. There are all kinds of variants like the 49cc with a shorter stroke. But when it comes down to power 2 stroke tuner knows it all. I'm going to be building up my scooter soon, it's such a cool and unique engine

Why you have so much trouble grinding and cutting all the frame out? While you just can unbolt the suspension and trailing arm 4bolt in total, the whole rear end will just slide out...
That whole section where the engine is literally comes off with about four bolts and disconnecting some cables and the whole engine and rear axle will separate from the go-kart
Yo brother man I don't know where you get these ideas from but they're badass excuse my language but I have a buggy called the Hummer cart that like to do the 670 on or 500 ninja I'm having a problem on the siding I have a four-wheeler which is a 150 I'm putting a 212 stage 1 on I want to know what your opinion is should I go with a two 12 or should I go with a 420 I have both engines but for the cart what do you think I should put on it the 500cc from the ninja motorcycle or the 670 from Harbor Freight man your opinion really counts let me know something in the comments and keep on the awesome deals dude you're number one in my book you got to do a collaboration with rather be welding
I guess Im too much of a neat freak when it comes to working on my cars and other things.. Making sure I keep all my bolts in propert spots.. ect.. So watching him sling parts everywhere is giving me anxiety LMFAO. :D
Nice idea for a swap, thought gy6 had integrated gearbox with reverse? (mine did) Although sure your already thought about all that and have some good gearing in mind. If you tighten the bolts regularly or add threadlocker to your bolts you shouldn’t have a problem with things ‘falling apart’
