MO is a really underrated state. First state Ive been to and lived in. Moved from the Netherlands, and besides the extreme riches and poverty that the US brings, Missouri is wonderful. Its green and hilly, peaceful but still populated. Many many unique and new brands, particularly food! Which I love
I do remember when I moved here to Springfield Missouri from California (Bakersfield). When we topped the hills of Branson Missouri. I had never even seen so much Beautiful green in my life.Trees, grass, The flowers on the side of the road was gorgeous. I had never seen so much beauty. In nature in my life. At the age of 21 I came to Missouri from California. I am now 68 years old and have lived here this long. I love Missouri. When I first came here there was no crime. I’m still at a safer place than other places are.But I do believe I will stay. This is my home. There is much much worse places to live.
Bakersfield is a dry, dusty place. For greenery in California one has to be north of Sacramento. The drawback, of course, is the high humidity and it is still hot north of Sacramento.
I was born and raised in St.Louis. I had a college friend from New York who came home with me for a weekend and they couldn’t stop talking about how green it is and all the land.
Yea there are 2 Lamberts in Missouri but both are in 2 completely different regions of the state. I love your videos but sometimes notice video editing will change the sequence of your trip which can scramble up some facts
I have a Master's degree and I work for the state of Missouri. I make $36,000 a year. I'm not sure how much more I could "grow up." How exactly do you expect people who live in areas with no jobs to work and make a living? You may have some unrealistic expectations about what working in Missouri will be like.
A certain political party in control is responsible for the poorest states...I won't mention which one. All a person needs to do is Google a list of the poorest states in order of degree of poverty & then Google a list of which states are run by which political party. It will be clearly evident which party should be avoided voting for at the ballot box like the plague.
I'm from Portugal and I've been to Missouri acouple times and I absolutely loved it. There was a time in my life that I almost thought of moving there to live. Great people and from I saw its was really not that bad. Anywhere in the world there will good places and not so good ones to live. The Ozarks are beautiful.
Born and raised in Joplin Mo., been here my whole life, 47 years. I'm proud of where I live, everything mentioned, Is true, but also true for the majority of places you can go. Mo. Definitely has parts that need cleaned up, and improved, but I'd rather stay, and continue trying to make a difference.
Lived in the St. Louis area my whole life, so sad what's happened to these historic cities. A ton of potential is wasted here and countless problems that could have been easily solved but not anymore. It's like none of the people in charge even care anymore
Dude, where do you see an "A" on the end of Missouri?!? I'm from South St. Louis, by Carondelet Park, and love the area. There is NO comparison for safety sake between South and North St. Louis. No sane person l know would live on the North side.
Booooooo!!! I live in Spanish lake and it's not the north side but it is our neighbor to the south..the lake is the most northeastern town in stlouis..we got our fair share of bullshit thts for sure
Ur right. He’s just kind of making fun of the greater Missouri dialect by putting the A on the end of it. Obviously we don’t speak that way in STL, especially the city. You’re ok in Carondelet- but the south side has its share of unsafe spots. Like Gravois Park isn’t somewhere I’d want to be at any time of day or night
I saved a out of state friend from getting a t shirt that said Missour-RAAAHHH! I had to explain the pronunciation war especially since we were in St.louos where NOBODY says it like that.
Missouri gal here 😁 Missouri is named after the "Missouri native Americans" which the tribe pronounced it as "miss-ur-uh" so, I mean. It's dialect more than anything. Either way isn't far off 😁
We moved here 3 yrs ago from CA this is paradise compared we live 11 miles from our little town of 3,000 we know most everyone in town and haven't met a bad one yet we're on SSI and we live comfortably it really depends on how you want to live we love the quiet the woods and we stay away from any big cities we love Missouri 😁
I’m looking for a home and I have been looking at almost every state. I do plan on living in the more rural areas. I’m really nervous about this talk of crime, so would you say you feel safe where you are? Have any suggestions of what safer and more rural cities for me to look at??
@@serenarodriguez9803 unfortunately even in small towns there are drugs and crimes albeit on a much smaller scale get to know the locals and still lock your doors but don't live in fear
I grew up in Berkeley. Everything he said was true. Spent 30 years there. I moved out 3 years ago. It was hard to watch it be such a beautiful place and slowly turn into a ghetto. Berkeley used to have nice stores for the families to shop. Now all they have is a dollar general and liquor stores and gas stations. With plenty of unhealthy food choices. I miss what it used to be
Yeah I’m a native born Missourian and literally no one says “Missoura” but besides that I lived in Springfield and I never saw needles on the streets. I was surprised the crime rate was the highest there, but my family’s cars did get broken into more often than I’d like to admit. The 417 is still a pretty great place though. I loved it growing up!!
I agree...love Springfield and I believe the drug crap moved down from Stl, and KC...I hope that the SPD will crack down on the druggies and gangs and send them back to their lefty paradise
When I watched the Charleston Bluejays basketball team in 1990, they had an all black basketball team and an all white cheerleading squad. How's that for diversity 🤔?
As a resident of Branson, Mo I would attribute the overwhelming majority of the crime here to methamphetamine and opiate addiction. It makes me sad to see my home on this list, and makes me very angry that so little is done to cut these dangerous drugs off at the source. The root of the problem in most of these cities is the same, and the solution is simple if anyone with any power really cared.
Methamphetamine is a chemically mirror drug to Adderall. If it were legal we wouldn’t see any of what you’re seeing right now. Most of the problems attributed to drugs, are caused by the war against them and prohibition. The cops are making millions so good luck with that. The fact is though…. IF People could buy it just like you by your southern comfort or Jack Daniels, over 90% of them would use it responsibly. In the meantime torturing medical patients is killin’ good people left and right. Sooner or later someone you love will die/suffer and you’ll see what I was trying to talk about. I hope I’m wrong.
@@SnarkapotamusLE not to set people up with drugs to sell. Snitches make riches. I would never trust a jail house snitch who would get out early for their testimony.
I moved to Springfield and bought a house last August. I moved here from Michigan. So far we are very happy with Springfield. There are plenty of convenient places to shop. We have a Costco and Sam's Club near us. Lots of places to eat. Additionally the taxes on our house are not too bad. I also lived in Cali for nearly 40 years. I'll take Missouri and Springfield over Los Angeles and California any day.
90% of people moving to Springfield area are Calfornia and Texas transplants, hence the cost of living has skyrocketed 2-3x for land and houses in the past 3 years.
@@PerimeterPermaculture We tend to shop more at Sam's Club becasue they let us bring our dogs into the store in a stroller. But except for that Costco is okay with us.
Me too. I get surprised about some of the towns that are mentioned and never thought that these places were bad. Of course, I just pass through. The information is very helpful though.
In my travels of the following states: Missouri and West Virginia by far have the friendliest people. Kentucky comes in second being mostly friendly. Florida (my home state) third we have a 50/50 mix, Alabama, Tennesse, and Georgia are the worst states for people with bad attitudes all the time.
@@JP-kb4yi My bad, these are all the states I was looking to move to and buy land. I have standards after all and the other states you mentioned didn't make my top 40. LOL
I lived in the Midwest in my youth and west coast as a teenager and young adult, spent several years living in the Carolinas & traveling throughout that region and to the SE parts of the US. Haven’t really traveled extensively in & around the NE so can’t really comment on that region as well as others. All in all, I’ve lived in 7 US states, and traveled to 43...typically spending just a couple days in each but have spent up to several months in over 12 states I didn’t formally reside in, so I think I have a decent perspective. West coast generally for me is the least friendly states I’ve lived in or traveled through, from my experience. The further I travel from west coast to the interior states the more friendly people seem to appear to strangers. West coast don’t expect someone to acknowledge you if you smile or wave at them..and god forbid if your vehicle breaks down, don’t expect anyone to stop... but it is a slim possibility. Generally, people will try to avoid eye contact and ignore you. There can be casual conversation between strangers but again most attempt to ignore you and are uncomfortable. Midwest, generally are friendly with the northern half of the Midwest the friendliest for me in the US. East coast as a whole is much more responsive and friendlier than the West, then I’d say the south, then southern Midwest, then northern Midwest being the most open & friendly. Again the entire west coast generally is the least friendly on average between strangers.
I live in Springfield and I just walked in the gas station to see a two year old sitting at an electronic slot machine (tweakers love em) and actually playing. Yes folks mommy or memaw had this baby playing a live game and she won $70. God I miss live PD!!!
Former St Charles County resident living out the rest of his life down in southeast Missouri. I enjoy the outdoors and I'm only 2 hours from Kentucky Lake to the east and all the springs, clear rivers, lakes and trails in the Mark Twain National Forest to the west. Southern Illinois has swamps to kayak and plenty of rock formations and hiking trails around Garden of the Gods and Giant City State Park. A great place to live and always keep your head on a swivel when in St Louis or Memphis.
I grew up in S. California. Every place in Missouri is safer than where I lived in California. We had to have large dogs protecting us and our property. If I went for a walk in our neighborhood, I had to have my dog with me. And I'm talking about the 1970's. I'm sure it's worse now.
There are few places in California as dangerous as St. Louis. Parts of Oakland are. Sad to say, there are unacceptably violent areas in almost every state.
I lived in the Missouri Ozarks for 40 years. Moved to southern California 11 years ago. I now live near downtown LA and walk alone all the time. Have never had any problems. But I sureiss the peace, quiet, and beauty of the southern MO hills.
Lamberts Cafe is in Sikeston, Missouri NOT in or near Berkeley. Lamberts restaurant is about 130 miles south of Berkeley on I-55. How did you mess that up so bad? You need to correct your video.

I was born in Kansas City, grow up in North County St. Louis, my father’s family is from Caruthersville, and I now live in north side Springfield. I agree with what you said, everything was accurate except for your Lambert location. I will say living in St. Louis there were areas that I was afraid to drive through and though Springfield has a lot of the same issues, I never feel afraid anywhere in Springfield, it is definitely getting worse ever year. I loved it when I moved here 25 years ago, but sadly it is getting worse and worse and it seems the local government wants to pretend everything is wonderful and does nothing about it.
Springfield has been a great place to grow up in, raise a family in, schools, raising grandkids, all of it. I've been around here close to 60 years now as I was born over in Joplin and lived there for the first part of my young life. Springfield has definitely had it's share of growing problems. All the colleges have brought in their share of problems, and I-44 has always been a source of issues that arrive daily. I've lived all over the USA and I can honestly say there's nowhere else I'd rather live than here. As you say, I can drive most anywhere in Springfiled with my windows down and wave at folks that wave back, friendly. Unfortunately, crime is really on the uptick and I truly hope the city makes adjustments to counter it. I'd hate to see "The Queen City of The Ozarks" end up like many of the large cities. And, it's "Missoura" to this old timer. lol
@@firstchoice14 Not with our current city council or police chief. Neither care, they live in gated communities. Cops don't care because they are understaffed and underpaid. I miss the Springfield of 20 years ago.
I don't know about the other places in your list, but I lived in Republic, MO, just outside Springfield from January 2000 - July 2016, drove all over the Springfield area as an outside sales rep, and frankly, I really regret having moved away. Even on Springfield's northside, which is the worst part of Springfield, I never felt threatened. I'm seriously at a loss as to how you arrived at your conclusions that Springfield is a bad place to live.
I grew up in Republic, I moved an ocean away but I wouldn't trade growing up there for love or money, I loved it but that was back in the 60's and 70's.

Hermann is a great little tourist town, with a brewery, wineries and a candy shop. And it's right off the Katy Trail (cycling rail trail). Rocheport is a nice small town on the Missouri River and on the Katy Trail. I've visited both on cycling trips. So there are nice places in Missouri; Nick just showed us where not to go 🤔!!
I've been through herman on hyway 19 many times. It is a beautiful town. My mother lived in my grove mo. It's a nice town also. I've drove it for many years. I live in Princeton Iowa. It's a 7 hr drive,

There's a TON of property crime in Greene County (including Springfield)! But like any metro area, it has its good/bad spots that skew the ratings one way or the other. But it does suffer from some of (if not the most) cases of spousal and child abuse in the state.
@@Snarkapotamus 100%, also even nice neighborhoods with surveillance and gates get broken into sometimes/targeted, no where is beyond break in attempts because of all of the meth heads. Met my soul mate during the panic-demnic of 2020. I was homeless in Houston, TX and she offered me a place to stay. We're in South Central Missouri. I love this state with its hills and valleys.
It's that way everywhere. If Biden and Harris are going to pay everyone to stay home and pay even more to pop out kids then we will have an employment crisis.
My place of employment is hiring in at $1.00 less than I am making at I have been there almost 9 years. How is that fair? Next year they are raising the starting hourly pay another $1.00. I like my job, so I grin and bare it.
I'm from St Louis and I love back home. It's tatted on my arm. My kids love back home as well. They're also happy that we moved away and we now just visit. The Lou is a "Beautifully Cursed" city if that makes sense. So much love and so much hate at the same time. I consider it a melting pot of cultures that hasn't warmed up enough in the right ways to actually blend everyone together. Most have no clue of this but uh. St Louis has the biggest Bosnian population in the US. Also the highest murder rate in the US. Go figure.
Born and raise in Poplar Bluff and love my city but everything he said is spot on. The crime is insane and the nothing being “fun” aspect is true i mean the only thing we have to do is go to the movies no cool restaurants or anything. crime isnt horrible if you stay in the right parts of the town, been in some pretty crazy situations though. Jobs are shite
I've lived in springfield my entire life. The last couple of years the homeless population has skyrocketed. Mostly because they learned that Springfield residents are fairly generous and came to panhandle.
I live in St. Peter’s in Missouri and it’s actually really nice out here. Theirs little to no crime and our public schools are actually pretty good. Also Missouri has a ton of great campsites and nature centers to visit here. When I was a kid my family would go on camping trips practically every weekend
I like it here in Missouri. My job let me travel the world. Yet when it came to retire I came back. Just to put a little perspective on this, I was playing cards with friends at his home. A homeless dude stuck his head in the window and demanded money. This was in San Diego, Ca. in the late 80's. Near downtown San Diego, those bright city lights can blind you to the realities there. San Diego was a great place to live back then, according to all the "experts".
If you do a top 10 best places in Missouri, consider putting Liberty in the list. Smaller city of about 31,000 people, lots to do, great schools (rated as some of the best in MO), plus your only 15 minutes away from downtown KCMO.
Liberty is alright. I live in independence which is about a 20 minute drive away from liberty max. Independence is okay but there's a lot of drugs and freaks about
Yes, that is a given! Nick is not suggesting that only Missouri has bad parts he clarifies that early in the video, he has other videos, many other videos on other states and the bad places that are there, he also has videos on the states and the best places to live but who wants to watch those? We are strange creatures us humans!
I missed this video when it first came out because I was stopped for the night at a hotel in (of all places) Missouri! We stayed in a town called Festus, which is an outer-outer-ring suburb of St. Louis to the south. I've never seen it mentioned in any of your videos, so I wasn't sure what to expect of this town, but I heard they have cheap gasoline, and there was a variety of places to eat around the hotel, so we made this our stopping point. We were surprised at how polite everyone was, and even stopped at a Walmart for some supplies before hitting the road the next morning. I usually dread Walmart, but the store was clean and orderly, and everyone was polite. Sharp contrast to the New Orleans area. Only thing is, we rolled in around 9:00 pm...on a Friday night...and every restaurant in town was already closed, except for Hardee's.
Yes that is Jefferson county boarders st. louis co. line. Respect and courtesy part of upbringing here. We will treat everyone the way we expect to be treated. Refreshing to out of town peeps, depending where you are from. Also if someone is mistreating you, we step in. Proud people..
Born and raised in Poplar Bluff and currently living there. Definitely true! Although, summertime brings more to do with Lake Wapello about 10 minutes away and Current River about 30 minutes away. There is a small amount of shopping and a movie theater, score! Also lived in Springfield and, yes, it's sad about the crime rate. Luckily, I have been safe from crime from both places!
Lambert's Cafe is NOT near Berkely. You are confused, like much of your analysis of Missouri, as Lambert AIRPORT is the name of the St. Louis International Airport. Lambert's Cafe has two locations, the closest to Berkely is about 2 1/2 hours away.
I was confused too...but he says "Lambert's close by, so people are only 5 mins away from getting out of this town..." But the image and moving into a throwed roll joke made it confusing.
If you go to work somewhere in Missouri, get ready to earn poverty wages. Nobody wants to pay their employees what they're worth. A lot of these places get around paying a full time wages and benefits by scheduling 32 hours a week. And then they want to feel like they own you even outside the workplace. Everything goes up but a persons wages. And if they could ask you to work for free, they would do that. A lot of injustice in Missouri and especially Springfield.
So I’m from Springfield, and while what you said about it definitely describes part of the city, as with many more dangerous cities, it really depends on what area you’re talking about. The northwest side is really bad and has the kind of urban blight that would rival Detroit and Baltimore. However, there are neighborhoods on the south side of Springfield, particularly due south and southwest, that are as safe as anywhere near a major city. I have traveled a lot (been to 45 states) and used to do delivery driving on the south side as a side hustle. I felt incredibly safe down there. That being said, every time a delivery took me north of about Chestnut, I had to really watch my back. It all just depends on where you are in the city.
I lived right outside St Louis, in Illinois, for 6 years. It really is an awesome spot. The ghettos are ghetto and the rich are all glitz but it's still a place I'm happy I've seen in person
I live in Branson Missouri. For what it's worth.. It's a great place to live. The police are compassionate. Yeah, we have problems with the employment for seasonal changes because of weather. But it's clean, beautiful and I call HOME.
I was born in 1968 in Lee county Florida and lived there until about 8 years ago when I moved to Macon Missouri and it was like stepping back in time ........and I loved it ! Then a couple years ago I moved just outside of Macon to Bevier and it's a tiny town with some really great people ! Very conservative around these parts .......if you vote left ....... it's in your best interest to just stay away from here as you will stick out like a sore thumb !
Man on man you should talk about some of the great places to live in MO...like NKC, Parkville, Riverside, Liberty, Excelsior Springs, St. Joe and any PLACE NORTH OF KC! Oh yeah, you left out Jacks Fork and the Current River...the Ozarks! Lee Summit isn't bad but God was coming back to the temple in Independence but he got stopped in Raytown for speeding!
I was stunned to find out how bad Aurora was (and this was some time ago). What was even more stunning to me is that, even with a horrible crime rate, Aurora decided to not have their own police but share police with nearby Marionville! Funny thing- in Marionville (famous for white squirrels), one of the worst crimes you could commit is harming a white squirrel! But for Aurora to decide that rather than keep their own police and instead share police with another city, and do this after knowing how bad the crime rate was and is, is insane
@@larrygalbreath You hit the nail on the head. They can't afford a police force so they have to pitch in and share the force with another community. They still have the County Sheriff and State Troopers.
Sad about Missouri, it's a beautiful and historic state. I drove through it a couple of times in in the late 80s and was going to go on a road trip there a few years ago when there was a massive cold snap across the country. Thanks for posting this, Nick.
@allenlovestia1982 no the reason we're not shit like Chicago, L.A., Portland is because we're a red state. This video only shows you the bad and out of the many, many, many, many little towns, cities etc this doesn't compare to the beauty of it. These all are mainly on the east side of the state and that should tell you something, borders liberal Illinois. Springfield has a collage located in it so of course naturally young adults bring ruckus. St. Genevieve is beautiful, Defiance is full of history, Castor Shut Ins, Johnson Shut Ins, Steelville Missouri, St. James, Arcadia for wine country into Hermann Missouri etc. There is more positive then the negative this fool is spewing off his google statistics.
About Springfield, there is some diversity, just mainly on the north side of town which is poorer than the south side, but where there is diversity it’s not much. There is a lot of crime though, a Dairy Queen near me was held up 2 times in a week by the same person, one night there was two shootings on my block in one night as well. The needle thing isn’t true but there is “hotspots” of needles being on the ground, the homeless problem is bad. To be honest, most of the towns he listed toward the top as the worst places to live aren’t nearly as crazy as he makes them seem starting from Branson on. St Louis is really the only place on the list that actually deserved it’s spot. It’s uncomfortable to be in St Louis sometimes even just visiting
It is beautiful and the daffodils always grew without any help every year, but the backyard is a slope and the grass was always so thick and luscious in the back which was difficult to mow. It's a small house, in a quiet neighborhood(past tense..don't know if it still is) and I have some fond memories of my mom and step-dad inside and on the porch in the back. Glad to see it in this video..I miss them both dearly..

I live 11 miles outside of Springfield, there are not needles all over the streets, and we have no more homeless then any other city. Yes the north side has more poor people however there there are 3 other directions south, east and west. I moved here from California 12 years ago and believe me I would live here way before ever going back to California.. FYI Lambert’s is no where near Berkeley
You might remember a couple of years ago the city had a program that put a prominent sign at most major intersections for the panhandlers. It listed food, shelter, employment...just call 211 and a neat new bus would come for a free ride. The program lasted about a year, cost over 200000 dollars and got virtually no takers. Oh,well. Actually Springfield is about as squeaky clean as a city gets. Statistics only tell part of the story.
I live near Springfield and there are SO many beautiful areas that you didn’t show. Also, I’ve never in my life encountered needles anywhere 🤔 I agree with Lebanon though 😅

Hi, Nick: Great video, thanks for sharing. I spent two weeks on vacation in Branson Missouri and I have been to Silver Dollar City. The whole two weeks that I spent in Branson was great, no one ever tried to rob me, nor mess with me; while I was there. No one ever robbed me at silver dollar city, neither and I walked everywhere. I was staying in a budget motel on the backside of the Branson strip within walking distance from one of the shows that I walked too. No one ever bothered me and no one tried to ever mug me and I had a great experience in Branson, Missouri. Branson is like any other town, depending on where you go depends on what the area is like. In June of 2023, I spent a week in Manhattan New York for a concert performance and walked around Manhattan and was never bothered. In reality, Manhattan New York is considered Number two for violent crimes, drug abuse and theft. I also spent time in Washington State and visited Seattle Washington, including other parts of Washington. Washington State is considered number three for violent crimes, including theft and drug abuse.

Appreciate your comment. I am moving soon. Top 2 choices are West Viginia and MO!

Don’t knock us Hillbillies, we know how to party 🎊.

Great! Now work on creating industry and stay employed!
That along with making babies and being on welfare or/and crack.
Lambert's Cafe is NOT near Berkely. You are confused, like much of your analysis of Missouri, as Lambert AIRPORT is the name of the St. Louis International Airport. Lambert's Cafe has two locations, the closest to Berkely is about 2 1/2 hours away.
in Sikeston and Ozark.
I was confused too...but he says "Lambert's close by, so people are only 5 mins away from getting out of this town..." But the image and moving into a throwed roll joke made it confusing.
At least he knows there's a Lambert's somewhere. Maybe he saw one in Foley AL 🤔
Min wage is 13.75 as of today's date
Macon seems nicer than moberly.
@@meredithr9824 For sure !

It`s all about having a good tax base. The fewer business you have, the lower your tax collections. Small towns have to make tough decisions.
@@larrygalbreath You hit the nail on the head. They can't afford a police force so they have to pitch in and share the force with another community. They still have the County Sheriff and State Troopers.
I Was born and raised in St Louis, I personally feel safe here 🙏❤
Sad about Missouri, it's a beautiful and historic state. I drove through it a couple of times in in the late 80s and was going to go on a road trip there a few years ago when there was a massive cold snap across the country. Thanks for posting this, Nick.
There is no I 80 in Missouri that is in lowa
Sad is cities. Not most of Missouri. That goes for everywhere. But vote democrat tho.
@@chadwilliams2973 🤣 the year!
I’m planning to move to the south west Missouri Ozark’s in the next couple of years so I’m definitely appreciating your videos on this state
You mentioned Lee Summit which is awesome. The smaller towns around Lee Summit are nice too.
When in Berkeley, don’t forget to swing by and visit beautiful Kinloch right next door!
Kinloch is grazed and no longer a small section of suburb due to crime. Funny thing is it's right next to police station.
I appreciate your channel thank you Nick much love from California
About Springfield, there is some diversity, just mainly on the north side of town which is poorer than the south side, but where there is diversity it’s not much. There is a lot of crime though, a Dairy Queen near me was held up 2 times in a week by the same person, one night there was two shootings on my block in one night as well. The needle thing isn’t true but there is “hotspots” of needles being on the ground, the homeless problem is bad. But the economy isn’t it’s not too hard to find a job, if it’s good paying is in question and varies from place to place.
Springfield is total hole, sweetheart. I’m sorry but it really is just terrible.
@@louyork8379 didn’t say it wasn’t.
Sad to hear that about Springfield. It's sure changed in the last 60 years.
@@debbie4503 its changed a 100%since early 90s just moved last year still keep up on crime reports theres a shooting daily, robberies daily am glad we moved but sad its changed from the best to worst

Normally these type of videos suck but you 1000% nailed it 😂
To be honest, most of the towns he listed toward the top as the worst places to live aren’t nearly as crazy as he makes them seem starting from Branson on. St Louis is really the only place on the list that actually deserved it’s spot. It’s uncomfortable to be in St Louis sometimes even just visiting
Why is it uncomfortable?
@@larrygalbreath basically everyone tells you the second sunset starts coming to go inside cause the crime skyrockets at night

1:30 looks like a cute peaceful place to live, look the nature all around the house.
You should do a video on good things in a state instead of bad. I live in Missouri and it's not as bad as you make it out as.
Agree wholeheartedly!
Former Missouri resident here. Mostly the place is a hell hole. Lived in poverty most of my life there. Moved out west now have a $375,000 home, two new cars, and a whole shop building of toys play with. Missouri? Just headaches and not enough money to buy aspirin.
@@jasonwilliams8321 stop it, Missouri isnt a hellhole
@@NTF423 Yes it is.
@@jasonwilliams8321 you must've just lived in the wrong part of the state, most of Missouri is very nice.
That’s what I was thinking too. I don’t think this dude did much research on Springfield lol.
A very misinformed presentation indeed.
I live near Springfield and there are SO many beautiful areas that you didn’t show. Also, I’ve never in my life encountered needles anywhere 🤔 I agree with Lebanon though 😅
Really liked your message at the end - and couldn’t agree more!
Every state needs to do some soul searching.
If it weren't for parts of St. Louis alone, Missouri would most likely be so much cleaner and have less crime.
Exactly mate.
I keep voting every 4 years to give St Louis county to Illinois.
@@JP-kb4yi Only the city of St.Louis is bad (which is an independent city) St.Louis County on the other hand isn't all that bad well except for North County.
West St. Louis County is pretty safe and I lived in South St. Louis and I felt safe Plus I’ve heard that if you go north of I-70 then that’s where it can be sketchy. Big cities have good neighborhoods and bad neighborhoods. You just have to find the good sides of town and areas where you’re close to places where you feel safe.
@@adawg2015 no one is saying there aren’t good neighbors in St Louis. There’s just many more bad ones then good ones. Additionally driving in St Louis, one block is good then the next few blocks are like being in a war zone. The neighborhood around IKEA is a great example.
The income level may be low, but so is cost of living! You can have a good life at 35,000 a year. People live for hunting fishing and floating! It is a hidden gem, imo.

If its so bad, why are people moving here in droves from every state in the US? Illinois, Iowa, California, Arizona, Minnesota, just to name a few.

I love videos like this, Don’t move to Missouri we don’t want to become the next California, with housing affordable & opportunities for those who want to lift themselves up. Missouri rocks
Good thing I used to live on the south side of Springfield, not as bad as the north side.
