Dedicated female follower here!!! 😊 I'd suggest adding a few ladies as cameos during your group videos. Like, when you're out riding, surely there are some on site who are pulling jumps or tricks you could grab footage of (with permission!). For consolation, I hardly have any female subscribers on my channel and I am a female 😂 I can't wait to hit that bike park ay.
Great footage! Do you know if they rent mtn. bikes there at all? My daughter is going to do a semester at the University of Auckland starting this February and my wife and I are going to visit her probably in May.
I count just the one drop. :( What they need is three differing sized drops in parallel, so you get to practice with where you're at and when confident can progress by trying the next one to the right. See that sort of setup at some overseas MTB parks. But this is a good start, lets hope they keep at it over the summer.
It was a bit strange I agree. The sign said drops no jumps but actually only had one drop and lots of jumps. I know what you mean about progressive drops. Whistler has a good set. This could be built in the airfield by the car park.
Sure thing, better drops at Not 4 Grannie. Its good to see beginners jumps, but I agree with the general view that they need progressive jumps for sessioning. I'm sure North Shore Orthopaedic unit will sponsor them, LoL
Hay mate , my missus and I enjoy your vids fyi , you may add a percentage or two on those stats now . Love your content and we hope to bump into dads army one day. Cheers
i am close to wood hill and want to get a dual suspension bike that can do everything can anyone recommend me a good bike for about 2-3k is my price range atm
My advice is always get confident with smaller drops then work up to bigger ones. The drop at the bottom of stampede is similar but smaller. To be honest if you are confident with a drop then rock candy is not hard. The jump immediately after it is more challenging. When I try something I want to feel confident that I can do it. I base this on similar drops or jumps that I know I can do. Saying that at some point you have to go bigger to progress. The skills to do a small drop are the same to do a bigger one. The rock candy drop requires very little speed. Good luck.
Hi Rob. I know what you mean but It is something new and tracks like this take a lot of work to make. Would be good to have some jumps like the old woodhill.
Watching here always for your vlog thank u you for sharing
Great video....subscribed..

Yes, they do. Both e bikes and normal. They have a website that has prices www.bikeparks.co.nz/
@@bestdayevermtb2 Great thanks so much!
how come the bike prices have gone up scince i was younger theres like 4k for a half decent one now
I feel your pain. looks like it is going to get even more expensive as well.
that trail looks sick. You should always have nitrus on it makes you fly up those hills 😉😉

Thank you coz now they've done it!!
Lol definitely looks more like fun jump zone than a drop zone 😄
Absolutely.

I think Woodhill got sick of all the injuries but I do miss tracks like amyl nitrate, yakuza, candy store, spca etc

I see lance steve Reid left his mountain biking shoes 👠 with yours I hope you will return them
You should shoot in 60fps for 3rd person to get those smooth 50% slomo's. Nice vid
I film everything in 60fps.
@@bestdayevermtb2 you must have slowed it down past 50% then?
@@HuckHope I think I did.
I have ridden this line before with the ANIMAL I think I got more air time on stitch up ! 😜
Is that the Zak Gould I used to ride with?
We need to ride again soon Rotorua Saturday??
I must be that 1%. I don't want shoes, I want to ride better LOL!
Love the shoes Lance! The women MTBers will be subscribing in droves!
It was so simple. My wife has loads of shoes, women love shoes.
Now if you eased up on the shoes you could get that Hero 9, and cant beat a shot of NOS

hey are you going to the dig day at riverhead tomorrow
No can't make that.
Is there going to be a video on the kerikeri enduro ?
Next Saturday
Hey Lance love the channel. What bikes do you have now?
I am riding my Turbo Levo in this ride. I still have my Zerode Taniwha but I must admit I don't ride it much these days.
😅 One of the 1.6%! 👩🦰
Is this track still there ?
Yes, still there. Been modified slightly to make easier but fundamentally the same.
Hey I really want to hit rock candy but the drop puts me off, any advice ?

I found it the other day and was a little underwhelmed.

is the trail good on a hardtail?
Don't see why not.
Women should be at home looking after the kids and baking. Not on mtb trails.
