Not going to discourage or encourage you as it is not without risk. Check out our Whistler videos for some consequences! I am very careful not to hurt myself but have had a serious injury before. Saying that the feeling of jumping something that scares you is a real drug.
@@bestdayevermtb2 I'll go through your content now that I've subbed. It is very addictive, I used to race xc when I was younger only been jumping a year. I'm fully aware of the consequences having fractured my eye socket last year, hasn't put me off progressing at all tho.
I guess start small. Do that jump multiples times until you feel you could do it blind folded. Then move to a bigger jump and repeat. I have not done all the jumps there yet. At the end of the day at my age it is about having fun but going home in one piece.
No more jump videos??! I get it. I cracked a rib and sprained my left wrist on my last outing on a jump that looked easy enough. Can't say I will stop jumping but I will be more cautious. I would have really enjoyed being in that train! Great video!!
My advice is start small. Go with someone else in case the worst happens. Don't be pushed into anything you are uncomfortable with. Lessons can also help. I must admit my technique is not the best, I tend to rely on speed rather than popping the bike. Good luck
@@roddas26 Yes I must be blind. Didn't watch whole video last time. Your absolutely correct Geoff is not wearing knee pads. I never noticed that before. Geoff had a minor fall in Queenstown on one of our biking trips and seemed completely fine, he even wanted to do another lap. Later that night he was having a kidney removed and is very lucky to be alive. Really makes you think twice about what can happen.
Get in lads , great effort all, Graham your just getting better and progression is exlent bro good on ya
Graham is my middle-aged Mountain biking hero! And you’re not half bad either Lance - Great Video guys!
Thanks for the support. The video was filmed 4 weeks ago. It feels like we are living in a completely different world now.
I know. Things are crazy here in Switzerland. Just waiting at home to see how bad things will get. Good videos are a wonderful distraction.
"Could have been worse Could have been me" gotta like the sympathy and support given
I'm all about the support.
Just found this channel.
I'm 40 and often wonder if I should be mucking around on jumps....you guys make me think yes I definitely should!!

Bloody awesome! You guys make them look so easy. I've gone a few times but haven't quite worked up the guts to hit them yet

on ya boys! Graham is a nutter!!. the last jump just need couple of pedals to clear it.
We were worried about being too slow. That is why I let Graham go first. Thought I would put this one up to cheer people up after enduro cancelled.

Nice work (y)
Try riding skid track - lower skid in the wet 💀nah but I cant wait till its dry so I can full send everything
I really like skid track. Is better in the dry.
@@bestdayevermtb2 Yea, Ive just come across it recently so I haven’t been able to ride it when dry
I’ll look after my elbows... never mind the knees
nice
Why elbow pads and no knee pads?
Just looked back at video. I can't see anyone with no knee pads on. We normally wear knee pads anyway.
@@bestdayevermtb2, are you blind? Your man Geoff or Jeff clearly has elbow pads and no knee pads. After a huge crash in Queenstown? Hmmm

@@bestdayevermtb2, sounds pretty minor?
@@roddas26 Well what I mean by minor is he got up and seemed fine wasn't even winded. I would have had 100s of similar offs over the years.
