Great video again. Just a small tip with bolts/screws in hot situations, when putting screws back coat the threads with anti-seize aluminium or copper paste, especially the bolts on the turbo.

Thanks so much for this video. Has helped me so much with a p2999 code on my ranger, that's been bugging me for months with limp mode, sensor A stuck high. Just changed the actuator, been a pain especially the L bracket. Anyway now seems sorted and so grateful for your great work and advise. Best wishes from West Yorkshire, UK.

Hey, sorry. I don't know your name, but I want to thank you for this video, and the turbo change one. It solved a problem with my bt50 that was intermittent and driving me (more) mad. So it was the actuator, but I ended up replacing the turbo since I had 250k on it anyway. Nice clear instructions that helped me enormously. Thanks.

I agree that Torx screws can be problematic, two suggestions, I prefer to use a complete 3/8 " socket with integrated Torx than a Torx end, Using a short (preferably brass) punch and hammer to give a couple of sharp whacks will give an initial dislodge or bead break to the screw or any bolt for that matter before applying Torx (or socket) to a firm screw.
Often just makes the difference between a clean removal or a chewed out Screw.
I prefer a good quality Allen head bolt to a Torx personally.
For reassembly chase bolt threads on a wire wheel and apply Lannox Lannolin spray or a light smear of anti size grease spray to ease assembly unless thredlocker is required. Makes a later removal easier!

I think you missed a bolt on the actuator there is another counter sunk torx bolt behind that L bracket behind the that is pretty much impossible to get off in the car because it’s in the back turbo housing l, so I just took off the front turbo housing because it’s the only way to get to that bolt and it’s much easier to get the actuator back on. That’s on a px1 ranger btw not sure about px2 and 3 great video but

I don’t think it’s the exhaust as I found nothing leaking on assembly unless it’s in exhaust pipe
At this point I’m assuming it may be a turbo charger issue but that’s near new n I found no noises spinning the shaft by hand I’m not sure about the variable geometry linkage etc
