The story goes Matt Busby initially offered George Best to Don Revie but at the last minute changed his mind and decided to let Giles go instead. Giles had played in the 1963 Cup Final for Man U so in winning the 1972 FA Cup (the Centenary Final) he won his second winners medal.

He won the Premier League and the League Cup with Man Utd! I do feel a bit disappointed that he doesn’t get mentioned more these days. Let’s be honest though to replace a player like Roy Keane was impossible.
