Cheers for watching as always peeps 👍🏾 Matchday at my local Vegan club coming up 😅 (on the channel Wednesday) as well as more stadium tours and a couple of “different” videos coming to the channel…… 🫣
As a young boy, it was the amazing Stan Bowles that finally sealed my loyalty to QPR. Such a talented entertaining footballer. I was heart broken when he finally left the club. To hear of his passing saddened me deeply. Thank you Stan for making my childhood such a happy time watching you on the pitch. Feared by so many, and loved by so many. Rest in peace great man, you will never be forgotten. DrZ🙏🏻
Went there in the 1970s , Stan Bowles, Phil Parkes, right on the pitch , the nets were tiny, loads of banter about Phil and his adverts for Cossack hair spray. Happy days.
Its old and cramped but set right in the heart of West London and when the wind is blowing the right was it fizzes and pops like no other ground. I bloody love the place.
As a 12 year old, I was there when Trevor Sinclair scored that overhead kick against Barnsley in the FA Cup. Ask any R's fan who was there, and they will tell you that as Trev jumped and his foot connected with the ball, a chorus of thousands of fans taking a sharp intake of breath could be heard, following by complete silence as if a vacuum sucked all of the sound out of the stadium for a second, followed by the most incredible eruption of jubilation as the ball hit the net. Strangers started hugging, people were turning around to each other in disbelief, wondering if they were dreaming. When we started to realise what we had witnessed had actually happened, people started saying, "Look, the Barnsley fans are clapping!" Sure enough, they were. The most incredible goal I have ever seen, and to this day, Sinclair, or Tricky Trev as we refer to him, has been my favourite player since. When it won goal of the season at the end of the season, it made it even more special. I've seen some belters at Loftus Road, but I doubt it will ever be topped.
Good video of a lovely but distinctive traditional English football ground. You say QPR have moved home about twenty times but without trying to state the bleeding obvious, in the nineteenth century clubs that didn't have a settled home used the term Rangers, Rovers or Wanderers in their name. So it not altogether surprising. I would say that their glory years were the seventies with England England players like Gerry Francis, Dave Thomas and Rodney Marsh. Sadly we have just lost Stan Bowles who was an immense talent.
Went there as an away fan (liverpool) on a Monday night back in the day when you had pre match entertainment of the sky dancing girls, dancing ti alive a kicking 😂, was the same night as Windsor castle was on fire as could see the flanes from the m4 on way to the game. Love the videos, keep it up.
Good video, l am old skool but a great little old Stadium and you cannot beat the old 70s kit and especially the kits from 1981/82 or so supplied by Adidas. RIP Stan Bowles, one of most majestic players of his day.
Love your series I always was interested in QPR ever since Blue Peter went there due to it being close to BBC. I love the ground 2 tiers on 3 sides and all corners closed off like a mini Goodison. My other club is Coventry i went there and it was like a hotel. Luton also fascinates me.I am a nerd for aircraft, grounds and guitars
Over 61k fans have watched both football games this week in Sheffield and both games have been on Sky Sports tv thats amazing support Sheffield Over 30k at Hillsborough Over 30k at Bramhall lane A combine Total of over 61k fans plus they both have been in the bottom 3 all season Wow
As a South African Rs fan, I can say that Bloemfontein Road is named after the Central SA City, Capital of the Free State Province and the Judiciary Capital of SA. It is Pronounced Bloom-Fon-Tuin. Thanks for a great video - RIP Stan the Man, absolute QPR legend.
Great video, thank you! As a supporter from the other side of the world who has yet to make the pilgrimage to Loftus Rd it was great to see the surrounding streets and get a feel for the general area.
From the brief view that I saw of him, it looked like Connor might have been doing your tour. He is great, if so. He gave my son and I a wonderful tour once. Great video! Thanks for filming @ Loftus Road.
QPR is the only away ground I’ve ever been that actually had Diabolical View printed on the match ticket, they wasn’t joking either, got to admire QPRs honesty,my seat was in the Upper School End right behind a floodlight pylon… Still one of my favourite awaydays and grounds though…😬
That obstructed view in the away end corner, theres similar sort of thing in the home end corner, i remember a big match in the early 90s and the only ticket we could get was up in that corner, the woman in the ticket office said it was a diabolical view, i took no real notice and said we will take whatever. When the tickets arrived like you say they had 'Diabolical View' printed on them!
Loved watching this video. Been a QPR fan since the 80s my first memories of going to games are during the 81-82 season when I was a 9 yr old lad and Venables almost did the unthinkable and took Spurs to a replay in the FA cup final whilst we were in the old Div 2. Been a lot of highs and lows in my time as a fan but wouldn’t change a thing, well maybe some of the ridiculous owners and completely incompetent managers but that’s a different video. The ground makes for a cracking atmosphere when full
The worst manager of them all in my time was Rednapp closely followed by Mark Hughes. Player wise Vincent Bully Jones was a disgrace on & off the pitch.
Been in the away end following Argyle a few times. Always enjoyed Loftus Road as an away day, steep stands close to the pitch and we usually fill the away end. Good video, you should get down to Home Park for a tour when you can stomach the long drive!
I am a massive Chelsea fan but without telling my mates used to sneak to a few QPR games in the 70s just to watch the Legend Stan Bowles play. Nice little ground but there fans hate Chelsea lol.
I’m Rangers, my brother and one cousin are Chelsea and another is Watford. We used to alternate between the 3 clubs depending on who was at home. However I remained Rangers. You change your wife more than your club. 😂
Top videos mate I was at the first game on the plastic pitch September 1981 old division 2 we lost at home 1-2 to Luton town QPR scored first RIP Andy King and our last game on plastic pitch April 1988 we draw 1-1 with Sheffield Wednesday I the old 1st division
Hey Ry! I enjoyed this one, I’ve not been inside Loftus Road for a few years. QPR originally come from Queens Park which is about 2-3 miles from Loftus Road and has a Tube Station called Queens Park on The Bakerloo Line. The mascot reflects the name Jude from The original merger of St Jude and Christchurch Rangers. I grew up in Central London and QPR and Arsenal were both 15/20 mins tube rides for me,but I chose Arsenal because of The kit colours. You’re probably like The Amex in Brighton as there’s plenty of space to walk around it and easy to park. Thanks for posting.
Coming down from Scotland a workmate QPR fan took me along one Saturday, turned out to be the famous 5-5 with Newcastle, been a fan since, i stupidly thought it would always be like that!
Great little vlog on our beloved club and some very honest and accurate commentary! Well done Ry. The guy giving you the tour is a QPR fan called Connor Bagenal. Connor is the Inclusive Project Officer at QPR and is in his dream job
Second of your vlogs I've watched.... as a 🍒🍒AFCB fan got to say an away cup tie at Loftus Rd not long post Covid, with fans finally back in stadiums; had onevof the best away trips ever. Tues winter night under the floodlights. Excellent 👍⚽
Love the retro QPR shirts. One of the classic premier league teams from growing up in the 90s. Last time I was around there I came across a Batman Close and there's a "Batman dental practice" 😂 Great video again. Come to a Swansea game, can sort you a ticket 👍🏼
went to leicester v qpr in the early 70s got in a minute or so late and dave thomas had already scored the only goal of the game oh bugger lol i think from memory they finished runners up in the old first division that year and were a fabulous side at the time cheers ry
Come on you Rs! My first game was 1981. By the start of my second game they built the new Loftus Rd stand and installed a plastic pitch. That pitch forced the massive improvement in pitch quality since. Apart from the grass and the all seater, it hasn't changed a bit in 40+ years. Space is a premium, but you get free ear warmers with your seat, i.e., the knees of the person sat behind!
You won’t get too many R’s fans wanting a new stadium fans come here through the generations and it’s like a second home to most I’ve been coming since 1960 and most my mates have been coming 50 to 60 years no place like Loftus Road I really enjoy your videos keep it up! 👍🏻
Have the pleasure of Loftus Road being my first away day, in a good match against my local Bournemouth 🍒 in January 😁 love the tours and videos as always! Look forward to them, felt for you at the weekend 🤦♂️ if it makes you feel any better, I'm a Burnley fan 🤣
Posted my first comment before finishing watching 😮 and the moment I did, you showed a real "quirky" feature 😂 as an away fan I wont forget....lower tier away seats reached by the smallest or should that be narrowest concourse ever!!! Like going down a long tube about three people wide 😂😂. Definitely cosy! Great atmosphere though.
As an American, it’s funny to me that you find it strange to have an away strip in the same colors as the home. We find it strange that European clubs don’t do that routinely. You won’t find the Dallas Cowboys or New York Yankees wearing a purple away strip one year, a green one the next, etc. They stick to versions of the primary pallette. An exception would be University of Oregon football, which is basically a demonstration project for Nike at this point.
Been once and County won 3-0 sent a Peter Crouch QPR down in 2001 . Great Ground reminds me of the TV comedy Bottom as it was set In Hammersmith and Eddie Hitler ( Ade Edmondson) character was a QPR fan . Proper funny show . R.I.P Stan Bowles ❤
Brilliant old tatty stadium, takes me back to better times when football stadiums were for just watching football, now I here fans arguing who has the best restaurants and champagne 😂, top video
Not sure if you ever do match days etc but sit in thise undercover cheap seats on a match day (without rain) and your come away feeling as if you played in the match your that close. Or if you get in quick 1/2 tickets in that section come up right next to dugouts and your feel like your managing the game
At one point Hammersmith &Fulham had 3 Premiership teams. Must be some sort of record for 1 borough having 3 Premiership teams which were Chelsea, Fulham and Rangers. Fun fact also QPR was the first team in the land to be sponsored by Adidas even though Man City and someone else's wore the adidas track tops in a league cup final.
Will always have fond memories of Loftus Road. Always got school tickets for QPR. Was at the last game that the artificial pitch was in existence. You had Stuarts the great Casual.shop not far from the stadium. Hammersmith Park also known as BBC Park as alot of programmes most famously Blue Peter used to film in there before the BBC officially moved up North. The whole area I'd also famous for the BBC studios and having an Olympics in the White City area, which are the flats in and around and opposite the main entrance. Most of the Roads like South Africa, Australia Road etc are naned after the connection to the Commonwealth and Olympic Game s. And the name you couldn't pronounce is pronounced as Blom- font-tain Road' which is the capital.of South Africa. Shout our to Stan Bowles, Rodney Marsh Sir Les Ferdinand Gerry Francis and David Seaman who famously played for the club.
QPR were my team growing up in the 70s. they nearly won the league and of course had the legendary Stan Bowles (RIP) playing for them. But my support was because of a Subutteo team my parents bought me with blue and white hoops. Hmmm, QPR or Reading? No contest really!
yes subbuteo was the thing, just great, catalogue number 25 was QPR I believe and got the Feyenoord team has the away kit, still got it all including the "little" Queen but sadly I lost the mini FA Cup that came with her😂
I remember going to this ground in 1988 QPR Vs Liverpool QPR won 3-2 it is a intimate venue wish I could've gone to the ground more than once in my life
I’ve done the outsides of West Brom & Birmingham, lots of Villa Matchday vlogs & a Molineux tour 😊 oh also Walsall but I’m only an hour down the road so will likely be back up 👍🏾
A CHALLENGE! Seeing as you're from the Marches, then why not do the Marches clubs in 1 day. Chester, Wrexham, Shrewsbury, Telford, Ludlow, Hereford and Newport.
Actually there are absolutely loads of parking spaces if you go up near Wormholt Park. Street upon street of metered parking. And only about 10 minute walk to the ground
RIP STANLEY BOWLES REST IN PEACE STANLEY . YOU WILL NEVER EVER BE FORGOTTEN.THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES THAT WILL STAY WITH US FOREVER , FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS YOU WAS A LEGEND A ENTERTAINER A CHARACTER AND YOU WAS THE BEST THAT EVER HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO WEAR THE BLUE AND WHITE HOOPS OF QPR. YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL OF US AT LOFTUS ROAD.SLEEP TIGHT STAN THE MAN ..ALWAYS AND FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS LOVE FAT LEE X AND ALL OF THE C MOB X X
Great vid as ever mate but have to pick you up on one thing, Sinclair went down as a QPR player in 1995/1996. His sale did not cause their relegation but may have impacted any potential return back.
Iv played on thier pitch against Bournemouth in 2017 and they have a lot of layers mixed into the pitch which is very very uncomfortable. Sand grass astro even a bit of g4 grass so thier no mud on the pitch. And I think this is one of the reason as to why they lose so many games. I struggled to find my feet and so did a few team mates. We got invited coz we played for qpr disability team. Its a horrible pitch to play on. Even the changing room are extremely small only having 1 toilet of each player. Wat i find shocking is that Sunday league teams dont have this issue non pro teams. Thier quite big in size this is probably one of the smallest iv ever been in. The stadium is fine its when u get in thier u see the difference.
Cheers for watching as always peeps 👍🏾 Matchday at my local Vegan club coming up 😅 (on the channel Wednesday) as well as more stadium tours and a couple of “different” videos coming to the channel…… 🫣

QPR my favorite away day. Class club as well, hope they return to the prem one day
Don’t hold your breath.
Me too,thanks
Mate, we are just hoping not to go down to league one!
Not any time soon but maybe one day with marti
@DavidHalfordsLane wish you'd hold yours.
I love our ground because it is old and has character. Close to the action and exciting when you are there.

Considering the great Stan Bowles recently passed away,a good time to visit Loftus Road.
I absolutely love going to qpr, I'm a watford fc fan. The ground looks dated yes, but the atmosphere is very amazing
That little mic 😂
Great video Ry, proper old school ground and has retained that vibe right up to the present day.
I’m gonna have to buy a stick for it and some branding so it looks more traditional 🎤

Great video, cool insight into an interesting ground.. thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
fun fact Jose Mourinho played in goals at Loftus Road in a charity match in 2017
For comparison BBC archive have a film of the great John Noakes of Blue Peter changing the old bulbs in the 70s
Great video, love Loftus Road HQ been going there from the age of 9 since 1972 - COYRS

Great job mate. Very enjoyable. Love Loftus Road (long time season ticket holder) it is a quirky old ground!
Cheers mate! Great ground
Starting taking my son this season after 25 years away. Only noticeable change is upgraded toilets. Still a special day out 👍

I remember going to this ground in 1988 QPR Vs Liverpool QPR won 3-2 it is a intimate venue wish I could've gone to the ground more than once in my life
Another fact for you is that it was the same season as the Hillsborough disaster and the final season QPR had the artificial pitch
Is it possible that you could do a Birmingham city stadium tour or any West Midlands football stadiums
Decent challenge that 😅👍🏾
Actually there are absolutely loads of parking spaces if you go up near Wormholt Park. Street upon street of metered parking. And only about 10 minute walk to the ground
JustPark to be fair is normally the cheapest option and I get kick out of parking on people’s drives 😁
The meters are free all weekend and after 6 weekdays so great for the football. Not much use for you though of course
I live on the Uxbridge Road just past Askew and Old Oak roads.
Always lots of parking round the side streets near Askew Road.
Blue Army 💙🤍
As a neutral, this is one of my favourite stadiums.

Great vid as ever mate but have to pick you up on one thing, Sinclair went down as a QPR player in 1995/1996. His sale did not cause their relegation but may have impacted any potential return back.
Ferdinand I was talking about mate not Sinclair 😊👍🏾
@@RysFootyParadise My bad. You are indeed correct!
@@brandonmasters8996 it’s all good mate I talk jibberish most the time 😅 glad you enjoyed it 👍🏾
@@RysFootyParadise Always do enjoy mate. Good to see a decent United fan who is also a true footy fan 👍. This coming from a blue manc.
Last went there in 2004 my God looks like it hasn’t changed at all.
How muchwas the away shirt?
It was reduced to like £30 I think with the tour discount aswell 👍🏾
Your boy finally has gimbal now lol
Haha you knowz 😉
Come and check out Barnstaple AFC in Devon 👍
qpr season ticket holder......we need a new stadium
You’re right it’s a dumb.
I went their when I was about 15 years old to watch Arsenal play them, they had an American Striker I’m sure he scored but Arsenal won in the end.

Up the "R'S" (since 1955)
I'm still at a loss as to why we renamed the South Africa rd stand to the Bhatia stand. COYRS!
Naming rights is a way for owners to pump money into clubs
