  • My friend, "Jax" and I went up to the woods with his 1990s era 250R dirt bike and my 2021 KLX300! His bike had no problem keeping up with mine but I'll never go back to kick starting bikes again! Thanks for watching!

You like spending money, spend some on some summer gear, lol. I am heat sensitive and summer gear is where it's at, even kind of chilly at night it is so airy. If you are moving you are plenty cool enough and protected. Get some full MX boots as well, protect those feet and lower legs, you only get two of each and having just one bad part down there really ruins things. They take a little getting used to but are great once you do. Your skin, elbows, feet, etc are worth some good gear. Don't be jealous, be riding in your own gear ;)

Well, it's a little presumptuous to say I "like spending money" but I think I understand your point! It's not that I don't have any gear at all but more that I don't really like to use it. I'm more of a guy who decides at a moments notice to jump on bike and fire up the camera and go for a ride. I also don't much like to wear anything which makes me feel too hot in the Florida heat. Having said that, I'm probably going to buy something which is light weight and protective that doesn't look like I'm geared up for a motocross race... but in the meantime, I'll probably wear my Forma boots at least while the trails are still flooded over. The second biggest reason I skirt the huge puddles is because I don't want soaked feet! The first reason being some of them can be substantially deeper that I wanna ride the bike through; a few I've seen when dry are 3+ feet deep if a few trucks ran through them.

That’s Florida! But it’s getting drier day by day. One day I’ll be looking to get some new surroundings!

Some of us have spent a lot of time keeping trails open and getting access to new areas. Glad you think it's a joke.

Keep your shirt on. Nobody thinks anything is a joke. I hope your street legal dual sport has the factory exhaust on it though because modifying it with aftermarket is probably a violation of state statute.

And since you’re stating facts about vehicles and use age in Richloam, here is the verbiage directly from FWC on vehicle use in Richloam.
      FWC Richloam
      Public Access and Vehicles:
      1. Open to public access year round.
      2. Persons operating vehicles must enter and exit only at a designated entrance.
      3. Vehicles may be operated on named or numbered roads shown on the map only.
      4. Parked vehicles may not obstruct a road, gate or firelane.
      5. No motor vehicle shall be operated in areas designated as closed to vehicular traffic.
      6. Tracked vehicles, all-terrain vehicles and airboats are prohibited.
      7. The Florida Trail traverses the area and is blazed in orange. This trail is open to hikers throughout the year. Other trails on this area are blazed in yellow and blue.
I don’t see what you’re referring to with his non-tagged bike being impounded. Perhaps you know something I don’t but it doesn’t appear to be publicly available knowledge.

Atv is not permitted, ohv ( off highway vehicle) is not permitted. Street legal only. Ohv and atvs have croom I'm not being a jerk about it there is a reason hundreds of people pay every weekend to ride in croom. Just to be clear. A dirt bike is a ohv your klx300 is a licensed highway vehicle.

What tires are you liking on your KLX? I need some more grip than the factory stockers.

Motoz Tractionator Enduro S/T. The best tires I’ve had for sandy off road riding. Plus they’re pretty affordable.
