Yeah they almost gave Reviewbrah an existential crisis. He started questioning everything. In a world where Burger King makes good food, anything is possible.
The thing that pisses me off about their melts is they can't be bothered to actually toast the bun like advertised. It's like eating a burger on Wonder bread...
The very definition of a "melt" is that it be *grilled* . Kinda missed the boat altogether.
@@jeffreyoldham55Grilling is not an intrinsic aspect of the definition of a "melt" type sandwich. The only qualifier is a generous amount of cheese melted on it. It *can* be toasted and oftentimes is, but that is not required for it to be a "melt". Not sure who told you that, but they steered you wrong.
I think the bread comes to them toasted on one side; they are just dumb asses and they put the toasted side on the inside.. Because I looked at one of mine and that was the way it was put together; toasted side was inside.

I'm glad this item was pretty decent for you, but I have to admit something: When I discovered your channel years ago, I thought to myself, "Why would it matter for anyone to review cheap fast food?" But now it all makes sense. You're basically documenting the general downfall of the fast food industry which will prove important in the historical records of this country. We can still hope that the FF industry pulls itself together and elevates their food, but we know you will be here, steadfastly keeping watch for us and meticulously recording the data.
In an interview he said that he wanted to reach the most people and speak to a common experience, which is why he reviews fast food and not fancy steaks. Same reason he does shortwave radio, since most of the world doesn't have reliable internet and they use shortwave for news etc. If you watch his first video, he must've been a teen, on 5 hour energy its the exact same vibe.
Most people don’t know this, but ReviewBrah was there when the first Kentucky Fried Chicken opened in 1952. Unfortunately, his legendary review was never documented.

I haven’t tried the bacon one, but the classic is actually very good. I’m no fan of BK these days, but these sandwiches are legitimately good.

I got a classic melt the other day it was pretty good, mine, just like yours also came un-toasted. Quickly remedied by putting some butter in a fry pan and toasting it up. But every other one I’ve ordered came toasted. Almost like some employees didn’t get the toasting/grilling memo.😅

Except that they are TINY compared to how the ads make them out to be. They found a way to charge you $6 for a tiny double cheeseburger. Rip off.

I ordered a mushroom n swiss melt. Added onions. I guess that was just way too confusing because I received the melt with the sauce, the swiss, the onions...no mushrooms. The ability to think and reason is sorely lacking these days.
Dude me too I ordered “extra” on both and I only got onions with maybe two mushrooms on mine 💀

They advertise these as buttered and grilled cheesy delicious sandwiches, but everyone I’ve ever bought or seen, has not been buttered, not grilled just cold hard toast! 🤮

I’m curious to see what ReviewBrah wears to the family Christmas dinner. Does he dress up even more? A suit is basically like a T-shirt for him. Does he wear a tux for Christmas Eve? Either way I’m sure he looks stellar.
Haven't been to BK in years. I've actually gone twice in recent days. They've upped their quality game a bit and its noticeable, at least the one in my area.

I had the classic melt the other day and it was awesome! I wish fast food places always had caramelized onions as a topping option.
I am fond of the cheesy tots, but I feel like they were less cheesy than in the past. I tried the mushroom Swiss variant and was happy with it this time.
4 for $1.50 is INSANE though! You can buy a bag with like 50 tots at the grocery store for around $4 or $5 and just melt some cheese on top in the oven.
And convenience as well.

It definitely hinders the experience imo. I don't get why not just pre-record the 30
Min monologue, then cut to you having the food somewhat hot & you just dig right in. I'd definitely want to go into reviewing a certain food while its somewhat hot to give a good critique about it but what do I know?

Yeah this guys reviews have been skewed from the Jump... We all know how fast food gets when it sits any longer then 10 to 15 mins. He yaps about nothing for upwards of 8 minutes sometimes plus the drive time, setup time etc etc..
Imo he should take the time received between the time consumed into account. Its easy to say that if something reviews good it'll only taste better eaten earlier. Its also a fair metric for delivery. ( Door dash, Uber eats )

Looking at the bacon melt, it looks my most common complaint with BK still continued: The buns are dry as a desert.
If you get a whopper ask for the brioche bun instead of the regular bun. It's WAAAAY better

Just tried one the other night and it was good. Needs a bit of tartness to round out the sweetness of the onions; pickles, ketchup, or mustard would level it up to great

Historically, any type of burger melt such as a traditional patty melt for instance, ( a burger with grilled caramelized onions with Swiss, cheddar or American cheese on grilled rye bread) comes on some type of grilled bread instead of a bun. A traditional patty melt used grilled rye, others might use a nice grilled sourdough or Texas toast. The possibilities are endless. If they are done correctly, the cheese slices are always melted. Some places opt to use a cheese sauce instead of slices. Either way, when done correctly are very delicious and memorable. My personal favorite is the old school original patty melt with cheddar or american, grilled onions and grilled rye bread🙂enjoy your reviews.

They come pre-packaged and refrigerated and we just heat them up in the Hopper which is basically just a cool microwave
ive always been partial to the sour dough burgers from BK. its kind of crazy to think and a bit concerning that i remember a burger from 2002... but the handful of times i see it im excited! nostalgia is a powerful thing. i always feel they are off the mark but i have hope. if i could make one myself it'd be a double patty with cheese, tomatoes (100%) onions, mayo, mustard, ((romaine lettuce hearts) yeah i know kind of picky)

I enjoyed the Bacon Melt when they had it for the first time. Unfortunately for me all the Burger Kings near me have closed down. 7 that I know of. I would have to make a 180 mile round trip to get one now.

these burger king melts are soooo freaking good. the mushroom and swiss is my fav. i want one right now so bad
I gave up on all the Burger Kings in my area several years ago. 3 strikes in different towns and they were out.
When it's good I like Burger King more than McDonalds. Problem is Burger King can be wildly inconsistent where I'm at. McDonalds I'm pretty much getting the same meal every time but that just isn't the case with BK unfortunately. BK is a definite pass if you pull up into it and it's not busy.
Funny but the commercial that came on during this vlog was for BK melts! Talk about spot on advertising!
I ate the mushroom one. I know mushrooms are definitely an acquired taste, but the earthy flavor with the beef and swiss cheese just complimented each other.
Thanks Brah! I don't eat fast food anymore (inconvenient/too expensive) but I always liked burger king. I know the kids today don't like it... maybe it's just that tastes have changed, maybe they really have dipped in quality. But it was always better than McD's bland offerings, in my mind. Glad they were able to get a good review.

I had the mushroom swiss one today. While it seemed small for the price, I enjoyed it. I wish they would have a mushroom swiss option for the whopper and impossible whopper.

The melts this time around does look pretty good, I’m thinking about trying both the bacon & the mushroom variety as well. Oh the fond memories, when I found this channel it was the first BK melt video, March of 2022, 😆 I learned so much since then… I love his old food reviews, his podcasts & his radio show… I even found out what shortwave is and bought myself a radio… 😃 long live the melts 😂

My melts are 5.49 here. I tried the swiss and mushroom one. I liked it. I also got the tots and agree, they are good, but sauce would make them better.
