@@goodnightmunchielove seeing these comments from you uneducated clowns. Yeah, Biden controls the economy of the entire world. Yeah. That makes sense. 🥴
Businesses lost the plot with wings because of pricing. It used to be wings were cheap so you got a bunch as a side. Then a few years ago there was that shortage and business had to raises prices to counter the demand for them. But now they still want those crazy prices when they knew people would buy them even though they are not worth that anymore. My local store regularly sells bulk wings for 1.99 a lb. These business are out of their mind selling a 12 for 16. Nobody wants to pay 16 for a side item, that's why they are a flop.
Indeed many fast food places have lost the plot in general, for example Saturday me, and wife were out shopping for most of the day, got hungry, so we stopped at Arby's, and for 2 medium combos a chicken bacon swiss, her Market fresh combo, and a 4 piece side of mozzarella sticks, was almost 32 f'ing bucks, and 1/2 the meal was nearly burnt!! Not worth it, might as well pack ham sandwiches in cooler to be cheap, or go eat at the nice local mexican restaurant for that kind of money. 🤦♂
@@annehaight9963For sure most Arby's sandwiches are skimpy, and sauces not what they once were, but even places like McDonald's that use to the cheap eats ain't far behind with a lot of the prices, and their quality having gone down somewhat.
I tried the wings and they were pretty much all breading overly doused in sauce. 😒 Thank you review brah for all that you do! Love seeing these reviews!! Classy sarcasm at its finest! 😊👍🫶
McDonald's had good wings when they offered them briefly. They were smart to not sauce the wings. Much better to offer a side of sauce so the breading doesn't get soggy.
I get em only when I order Popeyes on Uber Eats since they offer a free 6 piece if you pay more than $25. These days, that’s super easy. They’ve not been bad so far. Now if only they’d stop forgetting my popcorn shrimp…
At 6:52/6:53... there is a little hair coming out of it! I was watching on my big TV and it jumped out (right about where the base of the background lamp is).
Our popeyes is offering bogo for $1. 12 wings are $6.99. unfortunately last time I went there, I had to wait half a hour for my order that I preordered online. And it was by no means the first time. Id just rather go somewhere where I can get consistent service.
@@ch-ir8ldorder online at chick Fil A and I get my meal within 5 minutes of arriving. Same with most apps. Popeyes is just extremely slow. I’ve never experienced quick service from a Popeyes.
On Uber Eats their wings are BOGO for the 6 piece pretty frequently, at least in my area. I was pretty happy when I ordered them, and the value was great at 6 or 7 bucks for 12 wings. However, I probably would never order them at their normal retail price due to value/amount of food. Wings in general are fairly pricy compared to how full you might get from ordering a pizza/tacos etc. for the same amount of money and these were "just okay."
The Michael Jackson of food reviews! I absolutely freakin' love this guy so much! I'm always waiting on his videos like processed cheese be waiting to hit the plastic!
No dice;there'd have to be lawyers, contracts and concessions for Reviewbrah(a blue cut crystal water glass,a pure linen napkin,a bowl of rosewater to dip his fingers into to clean them),it'd be a helluva undertaking. 😂
I've not ate out in a while but was on a shopping trip Saturday with the wife for a good chunk of the day, so we went to Arby's, I got a chicken bacon sandwich medium combo, mozzarella sticks, and she got a market sandwich combo, and it was almost 32 F'ing bucks!!! WTF?!?! I won't be going back anytime soon that's for sure. Having said that I love watching the reviews as well.
I think you hit the nail on the head there at the beginning. Chicken sandwich market is still volatile enough to shake up. Chicken wings haven't seen a huge revolution since korean fried chicken.
I tried the sweet heat wings recently. They were alright. I'm not running out to get them again, but no complaints really. You kind of have to roll them around in the sauce because they weren't exactly fully coated.
Popeyes kept forcing those ghost pepper wings on me free with my uber eats order. I asked for the sauce on the side the first time. I could just eat them plain. Naturally, they arrived drenched in the ghost pepper sauce. I specifically did not add them to the order twice. They sent them anyway. I had to throw away 24 wings because i physically couldn't eat them. I'm not one to make a huge deal over wasted food. That was such an unnecessary waste. 😒
It's sad how chicken prices have gone down, slightly, in the stores, but Popeye's is still charging $2 for a piece of chicken. A 10 piece chicken costs $20!! Now they cut up a whole wing and call each flat or drumette a wing. A 6-piece of those wing parts is less than 3 whole wings, so you paid $2.66 per wing.
@@altonreid9726 The sweet spicy were very good. I like there sweet heat sauce as well. The price point for the quantity is were they are missing the mark. This are perfect if ordering through uber eats because they typically throw in 6 free wings. But at the regular rate I don't want to spend the money.
The price is just too high. I was out of town, didn't know where to eat, and on a whim tried a Popeyes simply because it was in front of me. Funny enough I had no idea they had wings. The wings were fine, I liked what I got well enough. But they need to be below $1 a piece to be viable. At the price Popeyes is asking, why not just go to any other place? Another issue is that I believe Popeyes is considered to be pretty low on the cheap fast food totem pole. So customers expect that of the wings as well, whether this stigma is deserved or not. So a customer wanting wings is likely to go somewhere else they consider to be a step up from Popeyes, thus why the price is wrong.
I think they are struggling because the ghost pepper wings should have been on the menu permanently and they finally keeping them on the menu is something the ghost pepper wing lovers have been waiting for don’t gotta be vocal just gotta get up and go get ‘em that signature sauce is something else
$8+ dollars for 6 wings is... ridiculous. I think many people are seeing this for what it is, just a cash grab for nothing special. Compare something like this to Taco Bell's Cravings boxes, $6 for a FULL MEAL. 1 Chalupa, 1 Taco, 1 Burrito, cinnamon twists, and a medium fountain drink. No amount of advertising is going to make 6 normal, bland chicken wings worth $8. It's a complete scam.
Their wings are surprisingly good, if anyone think its too pricy to try, they have an offer on their app while it still last that let you get 12 piece for around 8 dollars but you have to buy from their app.
I think they had success with their ghost pepper wings which led to them to release the sweet n spicy wings, which i think was the first time they had sauced up wings. It must have done pretty well for them to come up with more sauce flavors
You are correct, it’s wings. There are so many wing places including Pizza Hut(which BTW are really good wings), don’t really need another restaurant. Even KFC stopped selling their wings. Popeyes is known for their Signature fried chicken and chicken sandwiches. Just stick to what they do best.
I live in the PNW where we have extremely high cost of living/rent/min wage. I got two small portions of these for me and the kiddo and it was over $27.
I was at the atlanta airport not too long ago and went to this restaurant while waiting for my flight called Chicken + Beer. They had hotlanta wings (their take on honey hot) and they were some of the best wings I ever had. What does this have to do with your review you may ask? Not much I'm afraid.
The 6pc is $5.99 in my area, but you can get the 24pc for like 22.99, and split them into batches 6 of each flavor you choose. I got 12 of the Ghost pepper, and got 6 each of the Garlic Parmesan and Signature Hot, expecting the Honey BBQ to be pretty standard. I agree completely on the Garlic Parmesan and the Signature hot (which the website says is based on Lousiana Hot Sauce), they were both really mediocre.
I actually really like their signature hot wings. I saw them on the menu recently and thought, “when did they get wings?” i ordered the signature hot and i’m hooked. the breading is perfection 👌
As someone who loves Popeyes, it's just no something I would want from them. a 3 piece dark and spice if I'm looking for something filling or a sandwhich if I'm out to lunch. Plus it's not worth the price compared to it's other foods.
The recent KFC wing special was around $5 for 6... Nothing to write home about, but for fast food, it was a good deal. Ive barely bothered at this point; I'd rather stop at a grocery store and grab something to cook at home. It's usually faster and cheaper to do that, which defeats the entire idea of fast food 😩
@@PickleRicksFATASSCOUSIN ...if the price of both fast food and food ingredients increases due to inflation, buying ingredients to use for home cooking would still be cheaper than fast food
Actually 3 wings they break their wings to smaller pieces. People are starting forget wings as a whole is flat and drum. Not 3 flats and 3 drums just 3 wings
@@PickleRicksFATASSCOUSIN I can only assume that this is a troll post and idk why I'm responding to it, but yes, inflation increases prices of everything, and processed foods increase even more because of labor costs. Idk why I'm even engaging, but it seems hilarious 😂 The hair conditioner you use to beat off in the shower when your single parent isn't home is probably more expensive than some KFC dipping sauce, so idk why you're so invested in this. I'll say a prayer to Ronald McDonald and Grimace in hope that you may come to the light (or come to a big ol tided lassie) Really why tf did you get worked up this much over a KFC wing special from last year
I think it's what most have been saying, is that they are wings. The reason that their sandwich did so well is because it's something they didn't have before, and it was actually good. I feel what would be a little different, is if they could take the sauce idea that they have and use them to sauce the chicken that goes on the sandwiches. Popeyes Saucy Sandwich or something like that. Improve the buffalo sauce, add one or two more sauce flavor options and have it where you can get your chicken sandwich tossed in whatever sauce you want. (I'm aware that this is biting WingStop's idea, but businesses borrow ideas all the time)
I love wings and recently tried the parmesan garlic wings, and the sweet & spicy. I thought both were good, but preferred the sweet & spicy. In my case, the drawback is the price. I can air fry my own wings for less. My wings will never taste like theirs do, but I'm fine with that. Will probably get their wings again, but it won't be a regular thing.
I tried the signature hot wings myself recently, and I felt the same as you about them. I would only get these again not if I'm in the mood for good wings, but if I'm in the mood for Popeyes wings in specific. That's probably why they failed to generate hype about the wings; there are a million places that serve better wings, and Popeyes has a million better products.
I love wings, but fast food places charge too much per wing, especially for how little food is on a wing. In addition, they come in that black box that looks like the wings from Pizza Hut which isn't a very nice comparison already. Do a white paper / cardboard box, add more wings for the same price, and / or add a small side like a little cup of coleslaw or something. sell them as a mini-meal or a snack deal. smaller amount of chicken, smaller amount of side.
The biggest issue I have with Popeyes is the the areas where their stores are by me and the condition of them. They are not in very safe areas. The stores when you walk in you look closely behind the counter and there bugs, lack of cleaning, lack of sanitation, numerous violations of health codes, lack of staff or staff that actually cares . KFC knocked it out of the park this summer with their hot and spicy wings. Sucks they took them off the menu for the winter.
I really enjoyed this one, ReviewBrah, specifically because you reviewed three different things in one video. I know it's not always possible, but for me it keeps me engaged throughout. I wonder if you could review multiple frozen foods or more grocery items if you're looking to branch out. I know fast food is your thing, but I'd trust your opinion on other easy to eat/ready to eat meals. Thanks as always for great content. ❤
I think the issue is the overpricing on wings in general. People are being smarter and wiser about what they purchase for their money worth. So majority of places that sell wings just aren't making cash like they use to. Even Walmart done away with their bucket you could get for like $10-15. Why pay for something that's less ya quantity know?
Popeyes disappoints me. Their chicken sandwiches should be available in those sauces, as well. It looks like you can get them on the side and add them in, yourself but it's not the same.
I love the way this guy reviews food. Always goes into detail and even brings the food up to the camera so you can get a good look. Once he’s done with fast food he’ll move into the world of actual restaurants and thats when the end of the world will begin
Personally I have not tried the BBQ but I did the Garlic and Hot, and I really did like the hot. Course they used the Ghost Pepper Wings as the base wings so maybe that helped but to me it was quite a good flavor
Got a 24 piece to share with a friend a while back--tried all the flavors you did, as well as the sweet n' spicey. This review really, really reflected my experiences. At the end of the day, the flavors were... fine. The sweet n' spicey was probably the best, and yes, the BBQ was decent too. But frankly, they just don't need flavors. Breaded and sauced wings are hard, I think, because the breading gets soggy pretty quickly. The wings themselves are good. So just capitalize on that. I think the wings, without any kind of added sauces, beat out KFC. KFC stopped their hot wings maybe a year back, and when Popeyes released their ghost pepper wings, KFC reintroduced the hot wing, but I just don't think they can compete with Popeyes. Popeyes wing execution is just... better. But adding the sauce kind of detracts from the simplicity and flavor that they offer. The ghost pepper wings were not conceived initially to be sauced, and so adding something to them actually detracts. So why have they fallen flat? I think because we all inherently know this. On top of that, leave the sauces to wing experts, that is, places that specialize in wings and sauces. If the sauce is going to be something that adds to the experience, it needs to be developed well. Fast food places can't do that just by the nature of what they are. And I think we all know that inherently too. It's not a lost cause. They should just go all in on the ghost pepper wing again, do another push with it, maybe some promotions that bring the cost down by a couple dollars.
$40 with a good tailor could turn that suit into a custom fit suit. They can taper the sleeves, take in the jacket to make it more slim fit, and adjust the shoulders. You can do the same thing with dress shirts and pants also. I have to get all my off the rack suits tailored, but it is lifechanging.
I ate a chicken sandwich from Popeyes during the "chicken sandwich wars", and I ended up in the hospital and had to get my gallbladder removed. It was too much fat and spice for my body to handle that day, so I avoid going there now. I think the food is good, but it's too much oil for me.
Some of the smallest wings I’ve ever had. Although visually, they appear big, the breading is deceptive. Way too much breading. Hardly any meat on the wings. They claim you get equal amounts of drummies and wings. I ordered 24 wings. The last time I tried them, I was given 21 drummies and only three wings. I will never order them again.
Popeyes just makes the best fast food chicken hands down across the board. When u compare quality, flavor and consistency they beat them all. Even with places like Chick-Fil-A that ranks well with high quality and high customer service lacks far behind in flavor even when u have to add their sauces to their food, doesn’t beat them out. KFC, Church’s, Bojangles, Zaxby’s and even WingStop are all grata places but don’t win out overall either.
I tried the ghost pepper and the sweet and spicy ones and enjoyed them both, but the garlic parmesan ones I tried today didn't taste like parmesan or garlic at all, just the spicy breading. I imagine their wings aren't more popular is because wings aren't very exciting and you can get them anywhere.
So, I knew Popeyes had recently introduced wings and tried them when they first came out in Sept (according to this video). I found them to be the best fast food wings since KFC's honey BBQ wings back in the 90s/00s. Did not know they introduced additional flavors. I will probably get to these eventually. My wife LOVES Popeyes, and I admit it is the best fast food chicken, but their customer service issues are so bad I refuse to go there, so I only eat it when my wife brings me some. The fact that I didnt hear about the additional flavors means maybe the advertising isnt working quite as well as assumed. - The hot wings with a hint of sweetness sound interesting. I like a good sweet/hot combination - As per the KFC reference above, honey bbq is usually the best/safest flavor from chains. - I've never had a garlic parmesan wing I liked. I have friends that swear by them As for the price, the cost of whole chicken wings wholesale is INSANE right now.
So we are all going to continue to watch this young gentleman and not realize he would have been a better actor to play Niles and Daphne's son on Frasier...?!? 🤨🤨
I had their wings and dipped them into truf sauce. I thought the sauce was grainy but very delicious. Problem is the sauce is $1 extra. I got one for a 12 piece wings and one to dip my crispy chicken sandwich in. Very good but pricey.
Never seen ads for them. That and I usally (not always) get wings with my pizza. No point on making two stops anyways when I can get wings elsewhere. Price is kinda a issue...
Nothing special about these. I could run to the supermarket and buy a bag of wings whether hot or honey bbq or any flavor and they can be $8 a bag. Popeyes is just insanely expensive now.

Wow $25 for only 18 wings , that’s way to expensive, for something that’s not New really or exciting.. People can just go to the store and buy big bags of chicken wings and make their own sauce … I love your Reviews , ReviewBrah always great to see you do Another amazing Review. The wings do look tasty tho 😋😋😋😋
Right. I can get 20 full wings, veggies, rolls, fries, and a 2 liter soda from my favorite wing place for $29.99.
@@goodnightmunchie
Exactly.
Its actually 9 wings. its 18 pieces of Wingettes and Drummettes. its robbery at that price.
@@goodnightmunchielove seeing these comments from you uneducated clowns. Yeah, Biden controls the economy of the entire world. Yeah. That makes sense. 🥴
Uber eats and door dash made prices double overnight. They just charge everyone for the delivery. People should stop using that cancer.
Theres a lot of stuff these day thats hard to justify. Ive seen 7.99 for Oreos. I can cut oreos from my diet entirely at that price
They just charge everyone for the delivery since doordash and uber eats came along. People should stop using that cancer.
@@CommodoreFan64 Arby's lost their own plot. The sandwiches are skimpy and the sauces lost all their character.
@@annehaight9963For sure most Arby's sandwiches are skimpy, and sauces not what they once were, but even places like McDonald's that use to the cheap eats ain't far behind with a lot of the prices, and their quality having gone down somewhat.

I love the unsauced wings. Nice heat. Great coating. I'm happy that they are a permanent menu item now.
I tried the wings and they were pretty much all breading overly doused in sauce. 😒 Thank you review brah for all that you do! Love seeing these reviews!! Classy sarcasm at its finest! 😊👍🫶
@@goodnightmunchie I did. I was disappointed. 😔
@@hopemoore5101 yeah, I've got no respect for breaded hot wings, personally.
McDonald's had good wings when they offered them briefly. They were smart to not sauce the wings. Much better to offer a side of sauce so the breading doesn't get soggy.
I'm not a fan of breaded wings
Id just rather go somewhere where I can get consistent service.
where do you get consistent service??? thats not a thing anymore

I tried the Honey BBQ wings and found them to be outstanding...the best I've ever had. Six were not enough, so I went back for six more.

I had the garlic Parmesan wings and thought they was pretty good. Gona try the honey BBQ next time

A chicken fast food restaurant starting selling wings. Not exactly the most exciting or unexpected menu item.
It's like how Sonoma Chicken Coop was a chicken specialty restaurant and they didn't serve either fried chicken or a basic rotisserie chicken.
These wings are absolute FIRE.. The honey BBQ wings are sooo good. Remind me of the now discontinued Honey BBQ KFC wings back in the early 2000s.,
Exactly this!!! I so missed those great KFC wings and as soon as I ate these, I was like "Whoa, they must have hired whoever KFC fired". 😂
Agree. I don’t know what Bruh is talking about. The sweet and spicy are some of the best wings any fast food chain has released.
@@altonreid9726 The sweet spicy were very good. I like there sweet heat sauce as well. The price point for the quantity is were they are missing the mark. This are perfect if ordering through uber eats because they typically throw in 6 free wings. But at the regular rate I don't want to spend the money.
The kfc honey bbq wings are farrrr more recent than that.
@@ExtreemDreemer lol. The OG Honey BBQ wings came out like 1998. THOSE were amazing. The more “recent” version of them tastes nothing like it.
the problem is they're dollars for 6 wings, i'm not paying a doller per pigeon wing.
I still remember how crazy the Popeye's chicken sandwich trend was. There was always a line outside the door. It still doesn't make any sense 😂.
It was profitable during th3 Chic Fil A (fiasco) and Popeyes knew what they were doing back then and catapulted for a while
The price is just too high.
I tried the ghost pepper wings a long time ago when they came out and they were so bland! Very disappointed. The original spicy was 10x better.
Whatever you say my guy more wings for me
No in-video advertising, no bs just an honest articulate food review. Only substance here.
Loving the HONESTY!
Always a pleasure to see you continuing on in your journey. Truly a man of sisyphusian integrity
The wings from Popeyes are the best wings I have had in a while. I hope they stay cause they are delicious. The bbq and the Parmesan are my faves
I too enjoy them very much
Popeyes said they are a permanent thing so it should stay.
I enjoy them also not the garlic parm but the hot and bbq
Ghost Pepper Wings Rule!

Places have been charging way too much for chicken wings for years now.

Cheaper? HA! Inflation is everywhere bro.
@@PickleRicksFATASSCOUSIN ...if the price of both fast food and food ingredients increases due to inflation, buying ingredients to use for home cooking would still be cheaper than fast food

at my canadian location. Bloody laughable; we can get far better wings at the pub for less than $1/each
I have had all flavors and the signature hot are very good. The other flavors are pretty good as well. They are worth a try if you like breaded wings.
(I'm aware that this is biting WingStop's idea, but businesses borrow ideas all the time)
I never miss one of your videos!! You tell it how it really is!!
too expensive and i hate using online apps to get any kind of a stupid deal on fast food nowadays. ill stay with home cooking or restaurant's for now.
This man is the Walter Cronkite of fast food chicken.
“Parmesan cheese wings with oil and grease, with a hint of garlic.” Classic line
Calling them "wings" is a stretch
Best oil based sauce on fried chicken was the smoky mountain bbq sauce KFC used to have on their tenders, man I miss them.
i just dont really eat out that much anymore, way too expensive for so little quality and quantity
Every fast food is raising prices so high doesn't seem worth it anymore. Just avoiding everything
Popeyes’ customer service is horrible, so I never go.
Your gallbladder problem had nothing to do with the food you ate.
You been hurting that gallbaladder way before the sandwich.
I like a good sweet/hot combination
- As per the KFC reference above, honey bbq is usually the best/safest flavor from chains.
- I've never had a garlic parmesan wing I liked. I have friends that swear by them
As for the price, the cost of whole chicken wings wholesale is INSANE right now.
So we are all going to continue to watch this young gentleman and not realize he would have been a better actor to play Niles and Daphne's son on Frasier...?!? 🤨🤨
You’re awesome, man. You make my day better with your commentary.
For several years, I haven't seen or heard of any Popeyes campaign or promotion, not just for these flavored wings, but for anything else. Lol
They are much smaller in my area. Look like Cornish hen wings
You're brilliant because you literally made me a fan and you keep making me super hungry. lol
In Seattle they are called, "Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen". I have never been there but now I will stop by. Thank you for the review.
Nothing special about these. I could run to the supermarket and buy a bag of wings whether hot or honey bbq or any flavor and they can be $8 a bag. Popeyes is just insanely expensive now.
