As a filmmaker and fan of live music, this immersive experience is really interesting. I was also delightfully surprised to see (what seems like) the entire NPR staff on the floor for the performance. I also didn't realize UA-cam supported the 360-degree experience! Rock on!
This is such a breath of fresh air to see people being normal. I am enjoying some of the home concerts but it’s nothing like being in the office at actual tiny desk.
This is so cool. I fell in love with loved tiny desk back in 2009 when I saw Thao Nguyen's tiny desk concert. You guys have really come such a long way since then and seeing things like this show in 360 just makes me feel blown away by how influential your shows have become. I guess what I'm trying to say is that tiny desk really means a lot to me. Also thanks for so many years of awesome music.
This is awesome! I always thought it was much smaller. Thank you for sharing this. The Tinydesk Concerts are always a big source of inspiration for me...
that was so good. please more of this. i love the "normal desk view" but had no real sense of the room. but it is certainly bigger than i thought, like it
Thanks so much for this. I was wondering if it was truly a tiny office desk or just a small set. It's hilarious that it's actually a functioning desk in the actual office of NPR. Such a great series and it's amazing how many performers enjoy being there; it's one of those goals places, "I've always wanted to play at Red Rocks!" So awesome an actual desk in a working office is on the list for many performers.
That is a little freaky. On a PC it just looks like two curved images. On a mobile device, you use the phone to look around and you don't have to touch anything on the screen. Love it.
You all are great thank from Canada. Happy Birthday America. thank for everything! God Love democracy and freedom! Amen! Everything that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labor in freedom.
Wow! this is one of the most coherent applications 360 video I've seen so far. Many other 360 vids I've seen, so far, don't feel like they were done in 360 for any particular reason, aside from having the gear to do it.
This is incredible... I want to set up a tiny desk style corner in our studio. I noticed the lights are off. Is it always just the ambient room light, or do you turn the lights on most of the time? And why?
I can't see it in 360. The whole 360 image is showing up compressed all at once no need to turn / no immersive experience. I've watched 360 vids on my phone before. Why is this one not working for me?... Help.
Wtf, this is just a normal zoomed out video for me, but when i put the mouse on the video i dan see that there are completely different images off the crowd, but the video just stays like this!??
This is one of the best uses of 360 video I've yet watched. Well done NPR
Cool! I always wondered how the rest of the place looked like, I imagined it much smaller though.
Momo That's their bigger space in the newer NPR headquarters. Their old offices and desk space were truly tiny.
***** Ah, interesting. Thanks for letting me know.

Very cool POV of a Tiny Desk concert. Thanks for sharing! Gives you a real sense of being there.
No pun intended?
This made my day

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put 360 degree cameras on ALL your concerts. This is aswesome, and I often want to see the crowd enjoying the music!!!!
Awesome! Never realized the size of the audience
+Joe F Me neither.
I thought it was sound effects and there were like ten people watching in the audience

What an immersive perspective! Feels like I'm there, screwing my head 180 degrees to look at the head banging members of the crowd behind me

I've been waiting for this video for a long time! Thank you!
I would sell my soul for me and the Bad Hatters to play a tiny desk concert! So much top notch music it's untrue! :)
The 360 cams are awesome. I never knew how big the room was and how big the crowd was. It's great seeing this and thanks so much for doing it!
The best 360 video I have ever watched. Amazing.

Hey, what about offering Tiny Desk (TD) spaces/spots to a limited public? I'd love to attend a TD Performance! How can I, when can I???... Thanks!
I hope they made 360 videos for all performances in tiny desk, i thought there are no viewers in tiny desk.
My mind has been blown
Björk did this for her single Stonemilker, check it out!
where can i apply
I can't see it in 360. The whole 360 image is showing up compressed all at once no need to turn / no immersive experience. I've watched 360 vids on my phone before. Why is this one not working for me?... Help.

Are they using 5d Mark iii?
@npr music do you guys rely solely on natural sunlight? what about when it is dark outside?

Are you capturing sound from just one shotgun mic? Or are you recording audio from multiple devices?

Great band choice to use a 360 video
What is in that to go container on the wall!! Me and my best friend want answers!!!
I thought the place being in one of the main streets and the crowd watching the show from the walk side and just a few inside the display desk.
