Yeah, this actually worked against me on some other boss fights, because I had no idea said character was going to speak, so I wasted a turn using a Phoenix Down or a revival move. But on the other hand, hey, you can now use Minus Strike or w/e.
Yup all the fairies are absolutely evil backstabbers whom look at you and look all cute, but deep down they are evil bitches serving even more evil beings.
This fight was near impossible for me the first time. But after figuring out its gimmick and its weakness, I won pretty easily on the second try. That's the thing about BS... Almost every boss has a gimmick or a pattern you can exploit. I actually enjoy losing boss fights at first (weird, I know), because that way I can always try again with a more optimized run, and usually have success.
A legless skeleton with wings for hands with long, beautiful hair that has butterflies on a flying diamond unicorn How do people come up with this stuff???
Idk if u know this from the game, but all the Ba'al are creepy in a way, they're made up of things from the "real world" It really is a distorted ugly version of would be beautiful things
Omega, you've got some really fun strategies. I didn't even think to abuse Undo Action + Noble Eagle. Amazing how you won that boss battle in like... a minute. I got through the fight by using nothing but Darkhead + Susano-O + Elemental Barrier (Dark) to do effective damage while avoiding any knockback on my side.
Ok unless Denys has Kamiizumi-level skills with a sword, there is no way he could smash Anne's brooch without grazing her skin. Truthfully why didn't he just cut her in two?
I have a strange deja vu memory in my head of Diamante. I keep thinking I saw it earlier in the storyline, but just with the horse being a bit smaller. Is that just me, or is that an actual thing?
I suddenly feel ashamed this took like 40+ minutes of Sacrifice+Undo HP. Thinking about it, I could've Used Undo HP when it regenerated (At least I think I can do that :P)
Was considering going the elemental route to negate the mirror, but then I remembered its just funny to brute force it like this and have the person that dies revive instantly with the dialogue xD (also helps swords are effective against Demonkind too :p)
This boss was insanely tricky but kinda fun . . . I used bravely second with magnolia With blackbelt equiped for crit,Noble eagle Buffs and used Graziso? Lv4 special move to finish it off on its 2nd stage andnit dealt 93k damage! xD
Design wise, many of the Ba'al are supposed to represent real-world objects. (Like Diamente being a ghostly rider on a horse). However, the game actually does explain a bit about the Ba'al and what they are supposed to represent. I won't post it here because it would be story spoilers.
Personally I think Diamante is a corruption of the "knight in shining armor" concept. The horse is diamond, representing the diamond ring in the background.
Edea: 'IT'S RESURRECTING ITSELF!'
_Says the girl who decided to revive because she had to say one line_
Denys with one of the best lines ever;
"Denied!"
Denys Denies the Denial as it was Denied as it should *DENIED!*
After finishing the game I now paid attention to the background picture that shows during the fight.
Such a sad moment
Man that background of the diamante fight is sad af when you do learn the context.
"...ood morning."
"FUCK NOT AGAIN!"
Hahaha Ikr
"Behold the strength of a Ba'al buster!"
... Ok.
Diamante, pretty much the Saitama of Ba'als since he/it is immortal.
"Denied"
*Tidus Laugh*
Edea died from the mirror effect yet got a free revive cause of the dialogue. I like it when that happens lol
Its definitely very convenient since I don't have to worry about who dies xD (if Magnolia dies, Edea finishes him off the first time)

i just realized that Denys is a pun on his constant denial. Denys Geneolgia.
well, or that he basicly denies the families existance for half the game
That sad as heck background for the fight. Poor Vega
HELLO PLAYER
A pleasure to meet you again.
It is I, Diamante.
THE BA'AL YOUR BA'AL COULD SMELL LIKE!
The nostalgia. I miss and loved the story of Bravely Second!
Yes the story is absolutely passionating to follow and to discover!!
It's a damn shame we never got Bravely Third.
Denys, this is why you never trust a fairy in the Bravery Games.
COUP DE GRAVY
Yup all the fairies are absolutely evil backstabbers whom look at you and look all cute, but deep down they are evil bitches serving even more evil beings.
Except Adelle from Bravely Second 2 but thats because its not Luxendark.
The end of the fight was pretty sad but Denys went out like a boss to save his brother and his friends.
i struggled like there is no tomorrow on this fight, watches omega's run and see's him absolutely destroy it XD

Here's my guess, all but one of the devs get drunk and the non drunk one has a clipboard. Drunk board meeting insues with the one guy taking notes
"Denied!"
Get fukt, Anne.
Ba'al Buster!!!?? I coughed up my food at that one.

I just spellcrafted summoner for damage lol
"Stop trying to make [gravy] a thing, [Yew]!" It's infecting his friends and family like a plague!
Ah yes, the way to evolve Mega Ultra Waifu Chicken: Trade it with Buttstallion and it evolves into Diamante. It's a well-kept secret.
How Crazy! Diamante should be healing others not itself.
What a Gureito takedown, Omega
Yare Yare daze...
3:58
"How's the Future... 200 years from now"
. . . WAIT A BRAVELY SECOND
DIDN'T PRAYING BRAGE OCCUR 200 YEARS IN THE FUTURE?!
7:10 she looks so beautifully badass with that pose !!
Ok unless Denys has Kamiizumi-level skills with a sword, there is no way he could smash Anne's brooch without grazing her skin. Truthfully why didn't he just cut her in two?
He does. That's the thing lol
Every is talking about the ba'al or Denys sacrifice, and I'm over here just gushing over seeing egil again.
3:30 Denys be like: "ACCESS DENIED, BITCH!!"
OMG, that was perfect!
4:20 Anne: Renegade for life!
Poor Yew, he loses his bro, and his GF has to leave :(
I have a strange deja vu memory in my head of Diamante. I keep thinking I saw it earlier in the storyline, but just with the horse being a bit smaller. Is that just me, or is that an actual thing?
that was ether one of the characters memories or you fought it in defult
Diamante wasn't in Default. You may have mistaken it for Turtle Dove or Goldie.
I can only imagine what Deny saw in the future in the 1st act.
This is probably the most Witch-like out of all of the Ba'als
Is that a Madoka Magica reference?
I suddenly feel ashamed this took like 40+ minutes of Sacrifice+Undo HP. Thinking about it, I could've Used Undo HP when it regenerated (At least I think I can do that :P)
Oh great its back but I see it finished its marriage ceremony and was united in holy matrimony with its horse...Anyway great stuff as usual Omega.
The background in this battle is amazing. Also, I hate Diamante so much, easily the most annoying ba'al next to apparati.
***** Its funny when I tried doing that with my healer, it one shot her
Ok I guess there is a way to defeat this boss without elemental barrier and warhead to just cancel out the mirror damage.
Was considering going the elemental route to negate the mirror, but then I remembered its just funny to brute force it like this and have the person that dies revive instantly with the dialogue xD (also helps swords are effective against Demonkind too :p)
So... who ordered the flappy skeleton on the glowing kiddie unicorn ride?
Appleberry! WHYYYYYYY!?!
This boss was insanely tricky but kinda fun . . . I used bravely second with magnolia With blackbelt equiped for crit,Noble eagle Buffs and used Graziso? Lv4 special move to finish it off on its 2nd stage andnit dealt 93k damage! xD
Oh She was a Merchant with Darkhead Enabled too!
All attacks crit in Bravely Second
+Denys Geneolgia Oh yeah i forgot lol
I deny your criticals!
I just love how evil Anne keeps bursting on mirthful laughs. What a bitchy enemy she is.
I had so much fun ripping her apart in the fights with her.
Time to bust some Ba'al.
I'm not sure what the hell these Ba'al things are supposed to look like. They all look so........alien

DENIED!
brooch denied
Ok then
DENIED
Falcon Claw OP please nerf XD
