  • Good Day to you guys, Its been a while since I last posted a video, thats because ive been busy filming start to finish on this little project golf Flip car. I know how much you guys enjoyed the last flip cars, so thought it was time to start doing it again but with a twist. Im starting with a shed of a flip car and going to keep flipping, swapping, trading until I get to a super car.
    So enjoy this first Part on the Volkswagen Golf.
    In this video I have used new rendering software, which has taken quite some time to get use to but Im actually enjoying using it, If you have any feed back to the video quality, transistions, effects, please do leave a comment.

    Watch the fellas from Chops Garage and Flipping cars for profit. I think you could pick up a few tips from them. Good luck with your new venture and I hope you do well.

    Most definitely but only the pd130/150 1.8t. MK4 platform is a good money earner.

      I agree. I've had a pd130 on the channel. That needed quite a few bits. Ended up breaking even on that one.

    Fairplay Bluudy. Investing in some unit space will cost you short term but the extra space will make your life alot easier. I just wish their were units like that down south that didn't cost ££££ per month

    • @bluudysgarage

      Cheers man. To be fair we are only renting a section of it. So it's more our sized if that makes sense. But means we can have more cars and do bigger jobs on them without blocking a driveway.

    Great series mate, but if you really want to do it like Mike it on Wheeler Dealers trading up you need to pick out your cars with more care. Buying a non-running mk4 golf for £150 seems tempting but it's really hard to make money on cheap shitbox cars. Like you already mentioned it owns you £300 (transport costs, fuel, registration, wheels ect). Then it needs an engine (£150), some fluids at least oil and coolant (£50), timing belt kit while your doing the swap maybe clutch kit to? (al least £100), probably some additional stuff that often goes on cheap cars (bulbs, interior trim, window regular, maybe), you need to clean it (materials cost) and advertise it (and that not always free everywhere). At the end there is really no profit to be made. Also, value your time, if you're making a £200 profit but it took 3 full days of 8 hours to complete from start to finish. Then you're earned (200 / 24) £8,33 an hour that's around minimum hourly wage. Don't get me wrong love what you're doing, but I found it to be more fun and more worthwhile to look for cars that are not that average and worth some more money. Enthusiast or young cars sell for the right price way easier. Check out the channel Torque Steer with his series running down a dream. He does the same thing. I have had cars given to me for free, fixed them on a tight budget (all niggly stuff that needed fixing on them) and sold them on but the profit always wasn't worthwhile and it was always difficult to sell because they were very average cars. Did it to save them from the crusher.

    • @bluudysgarage
      @bluudysgarage  3 роки тому

      I totally appreciate your words of wisdom and yes if you include man hours it would be impossible to make a profit on this car. The way you make profit is by not including as a monetary value.
      I will list all costs including man hours but without a price on the hours. End of the day it's just something for a bit of fun and different to watch. And in my head the profit made helps buy the next project. I'm already on the hunt for the next project. :)

    • @iliaslamari7315
      @iliaslamari7315 3 роки тому +1

      @@bluudysgarage I aspected already that you indeed did it just for fun and the profit makes it possible to extended the budget a bit by every project. But the cars you pick could boosted your channel. If you get cars that need less work you could flip them quicker and do more projects. That's how the big automotive UA-camrs do it.

    • @bluudysgarage
      @bluudysgarage  3 роки тому

      To be fair thats my intention. But my starting budget is pretty small. Hence why I got a car so cheap. At time of buying I didn't know the engine was seized I just knew it wouldnt tuen over. I would like to keep mixing up the cars I get thats for sure.

    You need to invest in a 2 post vehicle lift or go halves on one. It will make it so much easier.
    Why not rent the extra space out too to other petrol heads?

    Will be interesting to see how things go for you
    Not a good start with that golf but sometimes you need to take chances in life and they dont always pay off the way you planned
    You definitely need a two post ramp though , makes working on cars so much easier
    How big is the space you've rented ?

      Cheers. Your right you need to take a gamble. And I still believe this one paid off but as other have said I went into the deep end for sure. Might look at a ramp at a later date. I dont need one and it's something to buy at the moment. We only renting a section of that unit about 2200 ft.
