I know there's a type of parrot that can only eat fruit or they'll die, and another type that can pretty much never eat fruit or they'll get diabetes. What's an optimal African Grey diet like?
@@TamaraKane Like with a lot of pets, most companion parrots are on a complete pellet diet with fresh food making up a percentage. My conure likes a couple of grapes a day, as well as other fruit/veg, the odd seed, very rarely a little chicken or egg, and the ESSENTIAL piece of walnut to persuade her to go back in her cage lol. Her pellets are suitable for african greys too, so I have to assume they have a similar diet. Parrots aren't fussy at all, they'll try to eat everything.
