Glad to hear you’re on the mend Mat and have been able to ride again. Know all too well what it’s like to be forced off the bike due to illness, spent a lot of time in bed watching your videos whilst recovering from various bowel cancer surgeries, and have to admit to being an out and out KTM fan like yourself! Keep up the good work and best of health to you 👍🏻
I did that. PP is more dedicated sport TOUR and handles a pillion in greater comfort, with more sophistication and cost--duh. It's like an Audi RS6 Avant vs a like a Dodge Hellcat for the GT. Both will carry passengers but differently. But my eyes will still be peeled on a new GT next year.
Good to see Mat and hopefully on the way to full recovery 👍🏻 Two very appealing bikes.....undoubtedly with those electronics that are disabled unless you pay extra 😮
I would like these types of channels to get a long term bike and do the maintenance, and tell us if these Austrian bikes are plagued with the soft cams. I do love this bike though.
I own a '19 790 Duke, and I just bought the 890 SMT. Both engines are amazing, with 105 HP being the sweet spot on the street. You can use all of the throttle in all gears. That gets me up to a 80 - 95 mph on mountain passes very efficiently.
Ive been going back and forth on getting either the Duke 990 or the 1390 Super Duke R. I know there is a big price difference but im not worried about the price as much as I am about what would be more fun/comfortable for just everyday street/city riding for 200-300 mile trips.... Any advice or help?
I total agree with the last comment. 990 GT would be perfect. I used my super duke 1290 evo for touring . But a bit to much power couldn’t use with the extra weight .
The new 990 Duke doesn't look as good as the original V-twin. Probably goes better. But is it as reliable? I used to have a 950 Adventure. Wrote it off and got a Buell Ulysses.
Cool, I did not get any content from ya in my youtube feed so I thought this channel had died. Glad it is not so. :) But when it comes to dukes, I rather get the old one, ie the 990 and just strip it bare like the Hazan 950 build. 140kg :)
Yeah, they go like stink. But, at some stage you are going to have to turn around, look at it. And admit you paid good money for the ugliest bike ever made.
Yup. Best part of this video is Mat telling us he was able ride for the first time in ten months. 🍻🍻🍻
Can’t wait for him to do some reviews again…channel is not the same without that.
I agree with your comments there Mat, you are an excellent presenter wishing you a full recovery
Still miss my 07 Superduke 990... Looks, noise, comfort, track riding.
Had it all 🥺

Glad you finally managed to get back out on a bike, Mat. I bet that blew the cobwebs away!
Now had 1290 SDGT for over 3 years, waiting on the 1390 GT, if its not soon im off to Ducati MStrada Pikes Peak

A new 990 SMT.
Yes please!
Good to see you Matt. 👍
I've been missing your deliberations over all things bike.

Glad to see you Mat! So cool you could do a bit of riding again. All the best 🙏
Great job guys!
So happy to see you Mat, looking forward to seeing you on the saddle 👍
Lovely to hear your back on bike!
Feels more heavy and bigger then 890✊🔥
Mat, Get well soon! 👊🏼
Fantastic to hear you have swung your leg over again
Does the parallel twin engine successfully supersede a vee twin engine fully ?
Thanks, now I wanna buy a 990....

Omg I love kTm sooo much!!😁.
123hp ✊🔥🔥
Are they making the frames any stronger these days , the old ones steering head’s would fold in when hitting small potholes ,
what a stitch up .
I'd never touch another KTM. Had so many problems with my SAS. Ultimately, it's pot luck with reliability.

£13k and that's without the quickshifter that KTM want more money for!😮
121hp is too much for me, but not for anyone. It's said this is the golden age of IC engines, so, ride 'em if ya got 'em, boys....
First😊
