I often notice how MLK is so hyped, and i truly appreciate and love MLK, but there are more other African American who fought just as hard for the rights of black people, women and homosexuals who weren't given that much attention.
@Monkey Brown there were Male leaders left out when the MAJORITY, if not all, of leaders who were given recognition and attention were Males not females and you can guess why is that!!! So, how does this makes sense to you?. And to me this just as important as racism. Women have been left out of history while it was shaped and written by men. And like i said, i truly believe MLK is a leader worth of recognition, there's no argues in that. But no one remembers any Female leaders or what they did because all the focus, credit and hype goes always to their male counterpart. All the sung heros and great activists are for some reason men. This is another important event that will shape history years from now, so it's best to remind the ladies to not forget reclaiming their voices which is an essential player that will shape this history.

Angela Davis, I love you so much. I grew up in Berkeley and Oakland California, born in 1961, as black female child. Be cause of you I had a sense of pride and was able to have free breakfast and lunch at school. Because of my mother's mental health situation, there was defiantly no food in the house. Thank for all that you have done out of love for our people. You are so black and so dam beautiful.
A truly beautiful and brilliant woman. As a white teenager growing up in SF, she influenced my thinking about life and the injustice done to the black community. I remember her from the SF State days, and I’am so greatful that videos exist of this time in American history, to show all people that the struggle for equality must continue for all people. Angela Davis will always be a true hero of mine!!!!! Wake up America
The balls on this woman sheesh. It truly is amazing the strength black women have shown when it comes to fighting oppression in America, the Caribbean and Africa throughout the centuries though they're contributions are often downplayed and/or overshadowed by men. Cool video

And like i said, i truly believe MLK is a leader worth of recognition, there's no argues in that. But no one remembers any Female leaders or what they did because all the focus, credit and hype goes always to their male counterpart. All the sung heros and great activists are for some reason men. This is another important event that will shape history years from now, so it's best to remind the ladies to not forget reclaiming their voices which is an essential player that will shape this history.
this beautiful queen really does speak volumes.. young people need to start listening
+Brittany Hayes After the revolution, are you prepared to give up your SmartPhone, internet access, I!Tunes, and hair relaxer products?
Rafael Storm
why give up internet access? Imagine -Huey Newton on Facebook Ha www.hatepigs.com
I think you're missing the point and attacking a beautiful girl that has become inspired by the words of Angelia Davis, and trying to inspire others. Just like all the other IGNORANT assholes I'll explain again BPP had two obstacles to address IGNORANCE & INERTIA the big I's. The internet is not just for porn...SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY USE FOR EDUCATION. AND HOW THE HELL U KNOW IF HER HAIR IS RELAXED...JUST CUS ALL GIRLS IN YO FAMILY IS KNAPPY.
Rather not, enough of this communist bulshit.
Beautiful black Goddess
Matthew Duncan bro. She is.

I still say that sister Angela is awesome. And I do recommend her books ARE PRISONS OBSOLETE, THE NATURE OF FREEDOM AND OTHER DIFFICULT DIALOGUES, WOMEN: RACE AND CLASS, Even in old age she's still awesome. Right on, sister Angela Davis!
Bruno56 Angela is above that neonazi bullshit kthx
Bruno56 lol thats some intense philosophical misinterpretation have fun being wrong!
Bruno56 still you
Bruno56 The conflation of the ml east germany with all communist thought is a derivitive of the same ussr fear propaganda. Educate yourself please :)
Bruno56 "educate yourself about capitalism" you yell at the woman who majored in microeconomics lol
Love this Sister.
Her words are powerful and I hope more people hear them. Its absolutely horrific what goes on in this country and that it's been happening and continues to happen for so many years is just... I cant believe it. I'm trying to be more educated and trying to educate others. Angela is a great teacher.
Great video. Thanks for the upload.
I love listening to her speak...you can hear passion, innocence, guidance in her voice...she sounds in her 70's the same way she sounded in her 30's
I am a white male. I never had to fight for anything. However, I am very drawn to this woman.
You will be soon fighting for your own life in this crazy multicultural society. So be ready and enjoy last few moments before the hell open and civil war comes.

watching the documentary "13th" in netfix moved me beyond words. I had no idea how deep rooted and severe the suffering of the black community has gone through in America. JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED". #blacklivesmatter
And now watch some documentary how white farmers are killed every day in South Africa and you can cry again.
@@radimpavlicek2580 what what does that has to do with anything
@@KDH-br6hy Use your brain, you will definitely figure it out genius.
@@radimpavlicek2580 we are talking about America not f****** South Africa and apartheid
@@KDH-br6hy We? You are multiple personalities or what? Iam talking about SA and anti white racism.
I read about Sister Angela in 7th grade. I wrote my undergraduate thesis on Angela The Icon Of The Counterculture
Interesting. I wonder what school you attended
Take a look at the ANGELA DAVIS READER if you can. Also, take a look at her AUTOBIOGRAPHY. And also WOMEN:RACE AND CLASS.
I have! I have all her books as a personal collection. I love history. Thanks
She is so well spoken and conveys the struggle even in interrigations. Even her image portrays revolution with that big afro and the style. She never backed down she is a hero through and through.
I love sister Angela.
Thank you Sis for your courage. I teared up watching her speak.
this is still SO SO SO important in 2020; NOTHING has changed, literally
Angela Davis, I love you so much. I grew up in Berkeley and Oakland California, born in 1961, as black female child. Be cause of you I had a sense of pride and was able to have free breakfast and lunch at school. Because of my mother's mental health situation, there was defiantly no food in the house. Thank for all that you have done out of love for our people. You are so black and so dam beautiful.
I love Angela Davis.
Wake up America
bump. time for everyone, teenagers, to read the autobiography of angela davis
The balls on this woman sheesh. It truly is amazing the strength black women have shown when it comes to fighting oppression in America, the Caribbean and Africa throughout the centuries though they're contributions are often downplayed and/or overshadowed by men. Cool video
My God, I love her voice.
Wow powerful! As a South African, she reminds me of Winnie Mandela! 🇿🇦
my love for her overflows. my hero. my inspiration
PRIDE! Y'all seen that powerful fist she threw up as soon as she walked into that court room? Go Miss Davis!👊🏿✊🏿💪🏿

favourite Angela Davis speech. there are so many great ones but this one, so much honesty and clarity in her voice, even when she's at her lowest. proof she was a born warrior.
She is so beautiful. 👼🏾
Being a dutch suburban middle class kid, I had 5:posters in my room: Dylan, Marx, Lenin, Che Guevara and Angela Davis.

Angela Davis was s Associate Professor at UCLA in 69, I was in the 6th grade, she is so interesting, intelligent and SEXY, a real sister who stood up against the system and won!
I viewed the PBS program "The Talk" on 2-20-2017. It is tragic that revolution remains so necessary in our country yet today. I thank God for courageous women (and men) who lift their voices, who put their lives on the line in order to eradicate racism.
1:55 - "the real content of any kind of revolutionary thrust lies in the principles and the goals that you're striving for, not in the way you reach them" - yes!
It's 2021, you will ALWAYS be appreciated QUEEN Angela Davis ❤
She’s speaking from pure humbleness and frustration
Nothing like a woman proud of her blackness and harnessing her power. We are so powerful 😍🤗
OMG this has been going on for decades
*centuries
Seen clips from this documentary... 👍👍👍up to Sis Angela Davis
