It's a bit weird that they don't offer a welded camber grip as they have several flat ones. I think if they had this as a higher tier option to a more budget option it would make more sense.
Great review, man! I can tell you really put a lot of thought into it. I really enjoy using my elite FTS ACB and I see no real reason to ditch it for this bar. Like you mentioned, many features on this bar are nice but not necessary. Adjustable handles, rotating sleeves, and even knurling are all cool features but not a must. This bar is definitely a luxury item.
I own this bar...but still waiting to order the handles 🙂 I had the kadillac just before...overall the kabuki felt more balanced...altought I prefer the rogue just because its all in stainless, knurling and its just overbuilt...who doesnt like overbuilt stuff! Great review, you covered all the angles. I think people were expecting too much from this bar...and yeah its overpriced...like many other rogue products.
Curious on the Rogue MG-4F. Love my Rep Fitness camber bar! Wondering if the Rogue multi-grip flat is good enough to add! Keep the great content coming!
I was looking forward to this but couldn’t do that price point. For that scratch I’ll just stick with dumbbell presses if I want flexibility in hand position.
Gluck I think you did a great job presenting this bar. The idea is interesting for the reason you pointed out about different people using it. I had not even considered that. Aside from that though, there is no reason this bar should be priced as high as it is. You can move the handles? Neat. The other bars that are a fraction of the price come with “extra handles” that are already set? Hmm. Rogue missed the mark with this one. It happens though, their batting average is still pretty good.
I would love to see a comparison review of all the camber bars. Although selfishly bc that is likely the next thing I want to buy and I'm in holding pattern on new racks and larger equipment until spring.

For bars with oddball weights I'll usually throw on some change plates to get it to a 'normal' weight (135, so start out with 35s on each side for a 65lb bar) and then do the math from there, costs a little bit of brain power in the setup but easier to work through the sets
Unfortunately I refuse to acknowledge the existence 35s but I admit the math isn't actually hard but you know... Jokes. I've done similar though and I adjust pretty quick it's just hard remembering which bar weighs what.

As much as I want knurled handles on a camber multigrip bar, I refuse to pay extra for the multiple grips for my multigrip bar. Maybe Rogue will toss in some handles for Matte Black November? (Not likely)
That would be nice 😂 it's a bit of a silly idea. I think they should have included s 2 or 3 pairs in the price and just let you select but this makes it look cheaper than it really is

Did you give the mg4cn a try? i think all the balance issues are fixed with the mg4cn. I got the MG4CN in all stainless handles/sleeves on sale for $442 shipped to me and it came with nylon washers. I believe the rotating sleeves help stabilize the bar but this specific version is unbalanced due to its size.

This strikes me as a piece for which Rogue has a bunch of plans, but are keeping it under their hat until things settle. It also illustrates the law of diminishing returns, as there's really only so many features for bars before it becomes ridiculous. I like the drive to innovate, and appreciate the effort, but I honestly think Titan nailed it when they added knurling to their MG handles. That was the last improvement that was really needed, IMO.

looks like a solid bar but couldn't agree more with your comments on this. Love Rogue's products but they are way overpriced and they have probably outpriced budgets for people's home gyms they want to setup. One company i've purchased products from is Archon Fitness. Their products are solid and a fraction of the price from Rogue and my checking account thanks me too.
For that much money I would rather order the Pyross bar from rogue. Personally I have the elitefts American cambered bar and it is great, I also have the REP one on order, yes I have a problem, that being said I still got 2 cambered bars for the price of the rogue.
@@GlucksGym Very cool. Thank you very much. Depending on how some of these honest reviews go, I might end up selling a kidney for the PR5000 and the Ares add on!
This isn’t related to the video but I wanted to get your attention. Can you consider doing a video on macros? Home diet is just as important as home gym!
Story of my life: either I pay 2-3 times as much as I should or I get what I think I want only for it to be a fat disappointment, and then I'm pissed at how stupid I have proven myself to be, again! In my next life, I'm going to tell mom to f*ck off about majoring in accounting and just go straight into a machinery training program so I enjoy building things like this the right way rather than bending over for their prices. Still would be six times cheaper than a bachelor's degree. Now what's this fuss over a bar? That's right. Incredibly detailed review; really loved it. 🤑
I feel like there should be a comparison video for science. Also, I wonder if anyone has tried to call that number in the “set it and forget it”screen grab 😂.
Way too much $... I think it's cool that you get to pick exactly where you want the grips but once it's set it's set they're not easily adjustable... I think it's a novel idea however everyone's going to put them in about the same location so might as well spend your money elsewhere in a gym .. like a belt squat I want to see a review for.
Who has a belt squat just lying around in boxes they need to review though.... Right?! 😬 I think with another set of holes I'd have put a 4th set of handles on but the potential isn't maxed yet, if ever.
My Pops was a welder….he would have fired himself if he did that job. Looks really rushed …like they were trying to keep up with production. Rogue fan boy here , but I would be bummed 🙁 f that showed up like that
Would I watch a comparison video between the Kabuki and the Rogue bar? Yeah, but that's only because I have a disease when it comes to gym equipment. Will I in a million years buy either of them, hell no. I will stick with my Titan cambered bar and keep my remaining $400... and buy some other gym equipment with it.
Rogue is stingy. I bought a monkey pull up bar. Zero hardware include. I complained to their service dept and they begrudgingly sent me nuts and bolts. At first they told me to buy the hw at Home Depot.
I appreciate the quality of the bar but for the most part it is overpriced. A gimmick at best. 99% of the time you will put the handles in the same place Titan welded theirs. On the other hand you should be able to do more pull ups after buying the Rogue bar since your wallet will be empty
I love kabuki stuff, but damn I can’t stand duffin, his f-ing ego drives me nuts and seems to only be getting worse. I will not be buying their stuff any more and will go back to rogue.
You weren't too hard on Rogue at all, their eventual V2 will make a lot of the tweaks you point out. I have a blemished Kaddilac bar and love benching with it, but if Rogue makes it will knurled handles that are the same thickness as it is...
This thing's got me all kinds of messed up so let me know your thoughts on it in the comments!

@@GlucksGym Had to find that deep cut. LOL! On a positive note, you always keep me engaged throughout the whole video, so... Good stuff.
@@ClarksvilleBarbellClub that's one of things I really try to do so I'm happy to hear it!
@@GlucksGym Well, you are doing a great job, brother! Keep it up!
looks like a solid bar but couldn't agree more with your comments on this. Love Rogue's products but they are way overpriced and they have probably outpriced budgets for people's home gyms they want to setup. One company i've purchased products from is Archon Fitness. Their products are solid and a fraction of the price from Rogue and my checking account thanks me too.
It's a bit much on price but with a few tweaks I think it would've been exceptional. Perhaps for the right person I suppose.
For that much money I would rather order the Pyross bar from rogue. Personally I have the elitefts American cambered bar and it is great, I also have the REP one on order, yes I have a problem, that being said I still got 2 cambered bars for the price of the rogue.
You could probably throw in the arch nemesis and put it against Rogue's stainless steel for 3 bars for the price 😂
Great shirt! Purchased.
Thanks 😊 seriously appreciate it!
I know it's expensive, but do you think you will review the Rep Ares cable add on?
Yes I will. A lot of people requested it so we're going to do a review.
@@GlucksGym Very cool. Thank you very much. Depending on how some of these honest reviews go, I might end up selling a kidney for the PR5000 and the Ares add on!
Haha you might have to, that's an expensive upgrade!
This isn’t related to the video but I wanted to get your attention. Can you consider doing a video on macros? Home diet is just as important as home gym!
I've been debating something about diet etc for over a year just haven't pulled the trigger! It is on the idea list though so thanks for reminding me
@@GlucksGym awesome! Can’t wait!
@@GlucksGymdid you ever do that? I didn't see it but hey, my diet sucks right now lol
Thank you! this one took awhile 😂 It would be interesting to be able to build your own ideal items
Maybe Rogue put those holes in the middle to make that precise 45/55lb weight...?
Perhaps? Hard to know the thought process on some of the things on this one.
Have you reviewed the sled?
Not yet but we will. My son loves playing with it 😂
The price and width make it a no-go for this guy.
Understandable. I think the price alone will chase a lot of people away.
You should definitely compare an EliteFTS American Cambered Bar to this because, well, that's the cambered bar I want to buy lol
Haha we'll see what I can manage but it's going to be like benches soon 😂
@@GlucksGym Well, you should have a cambered bar for each bench, so they don't get lonely
@@TrenbologneSandwich hahaha I should probably make money someday
@@GlucksGym Once you have enough equipment sitting around collecting dust, you can get a business loan and open a gym, boom profit.
@@TrenbologneSandwich hahaha. I'm just trying to keep up and hoping we turn It into something
To be honest this bar is sick but considering I already have the American cambered bar from fts I wouldn’t go for this
So it’s a multi-hole bar!
:D
that it is 😂
Comparison video please!
I think it'll happen once we see that Rogue Kabuki collab
"Bubble gum welds" 😂
😁 I liked that line too
I feel like there should be a comparison video for science. Also, I wonder if anyone has tried to call that number in the “set it and forget it”screen grab 😂.
haha probably long ago. For science eh? I'm in!
@@GlucksGym science wins the day! Also if you post a short of this video on your IG page I can comment there too 😅
@@ironhallgym I have a hard time keeping up with the Ol IG 😭
@@GlucksGym same here recently. One post a week lately but it’s all good. Thanks for the video.
@@ironhallgym thanks for the support! I'll do better I swear!
Are you ready to spend power rack prices on a barbell? (Had me lol-ing)
-barbellthanos
had to sign it with his username so I knew who it was 😂
Fnally one guy who is criticizing the prize very hard.
In after Baylee cus there is no topping the champ
thank u joe i appreciate u 😸
She's been at this for a long time!
My Pops was a welder….he would have fired himself if he did that job. Looks really rushed …like they were trying to keep up with production. Rogue fan boy here , but I would be bummed 🙁 f that showed up like that
Yeah you're probably right since they fell behind it seems. I think eventually they'll have it all set up and that won't be the case.
Better than roids and custom car spoilers!
Cheaper too 😂
Would I watch a comparison video between the Kabuki and the Rogue bar? Yeah, but that's only because I have a disease when it comes to gym equipment. Will I in a million years buy either of them, hell no. I will stick with my Titan cambered bar and keep my remaining $400... and buy some other gym equipment with it.
hahaha probably a good plan but I appreciate the support either way
Disappointing welds for sure for how much it costs
I think eventually they'll get a rig setup for robot welds but that's just speculation
I’ll just wait for the Titan rip-off version.
Hahaha I didn't mean to take that joke seriously!
I’ll defend Kabuki over Rogue any day of the week, twice on Friday
I'd prefer not to have to defend any corporations 😕
Oh you just want to piss of wynie when you buy the kabuki bar lol.
She probably won't be particularly happy 😬
I wish elitefts would update their cambered multigrip bar with knurled handles but doesn't seem like they ever update anything.
Yeah I hear you. Not sure why a lot of these companies don't tweak things for the better.
another bad multigrip bar on the market. I don't know how rogue went so wrong. I think the only one I like on the market is american barbell T bar.
Rogue is stingy. I bought a monkey pull up bar. Zero hardware include. I complained to their service dept and they begrudgingly sent me nuts and bolts. At first they told me to buy the hw at Home Depot.
hahaha. When was this? Those are supposed to include the hardware.
I appreciate the quality of the bar but for the most part it is overpriced. A gimmick at best. 99% of the time you will put the handles in the same place Titan welded theirs. On the other hand you should be able to do more pull ups after buying the Rogue bar since your wallet will be empty
ahahahahah that pull up line
Seems like a great idea with bad build quality the way Rogue has been known for.
The quality excluding the welds is awesome. I think eventually they'll get a rig up so the welds are done by robots but what do I know
I love kabuki stuff, but damn I can’t stand duffin, his f-ing ego drives me nuts and seems to only be getting worse.
Thanks Joe. You may be right and if so I'll take all the credit 😂 if that's what they come out with I'll pick it up and review/compare it.
Showdown
I think it may have to be done!
helpful and joking comment
I'll take what I can get
@@GlucksGym hahaha
30 kg bar !! 🤦♂️
The only people buying these are reviewers and Rogue fanboys, imo. For me, my $120 mutli-grip bar is great.
It did sell out day one so... Maybe a few people as evidence by my IG feed 😂 which MG bar do you have?
@@GlucksGym there are a lot of Rogue fanboys out there haha
@@GlucksGym it's a body solid bar. I'm poor lol
