- The song "Perduto Amore" - better known with the title of "In cerca di te" - is a song written by Gian Carlo Testoni (text) and Eros Sciorilli (music), published by the Metron music editions. In the text of the song the voice search for the beloved lost in the mists and the atrocities of war. The success of the piece was nothing short of sensational and there is no documentary of the period, concerning the liberation of the north from Nazi-fascism, which does not have it as a sound support. Musically it is a scratchy swing with a very fast and fast tempo, where the winds and the drums unleash in a paroxysmal rhythm. If we consider that the orchestra of Beppe Mojetta was totally composed of Italian musicians, the resulting sound effect is extraordinary and has nothing to envy to contemporary North American orchestras. Bel pezzo che però stravolge il significato originale del pezzo cantato da Natalino, un uomo, che voleva impersonare con questa canzone forse un reduce, il cui perduto amore è l Italia distrutta dalla guerra. A questo alludeva Natalino Otto.... Una canzone malinconica che ricorda quanti c erano prima, e non c erano più dopo. Cantata da una ragazza è bella ma fa un diverso effetto. Lo so che vi sembra strano, i più vecchi forse concordano con me, ma questo pezzo è una dichiarazione d amore al proprio paese di Natalino Otto, triste, malinconica, che ora è stravolto dalla guerra, distrutto, cambiato totalmente. Uscì nel 44 mi pare la prima volta quando la guerra non ancora finiva. Ma già era un Italia totalmente diversa da quella del 39, divisa in 2 con eserciti stranieri a umiliarla da entrambi i lati, e divisa dalla morsa di una guerra civile tra fascisti e antifascisti. Natalino otto canta degli anni ruggenti precedenti alla guerra.
