People's first impression of Moeko is that she's just embarassed to say she knows Ichikawa, but that was not it (at all). She didn't want the senpai to know they knew each other, otherwise he would insist to ask for Yamada's number (as he did). When Moeko left, she was kinda testing Ichikawa to see if he was a real one LOL Manga readers know Moeko is a great character and a great friend to both of them
I mean that was really obvious and i dont know the manga. If there are really people who didnt get that then I'm sorry for them

Dangers in My Heart is by far one of the best romance I've watched/read.
There is a lot of layers to their story that some people only realize it in a rewatch

Yamada already knows her feelings and can see that Ichikawa seems to be into her also but knows he's not too comfortable and shy so she's trying to slowly build his confidence up is so wholesome

It's crazy how absolutely amazing this show is. Just from the trailer I would've never though that it would be my favourite romcom now, even above Horimiya and that one is already the best 😊
I very much agree with you. In my case, I have seen a lot of romantic comedy like: Horimiya, Love is War, Oregairu, Yamada kun lvl999, Komi san, Toradora ETC...
I like the genre, although I enjoy shonen much more, however with The Dangers In My Heart the opposite happens, it became my favorite anime and in my opinion it is much superior to those mentioned above, this series simply has the realism factor and The story of these two protagonists feels so real, it gives you that feeling of the first love experienced at school, in addition to touching on the theme of anxiety and depression that Ichikawa handles throughout the series, also showing us how much the mind It plays in our lives, both for good and for bad.
I never imagined feeling this way watching a series like this and since season 2 is already very close, I am refraining from reading the manga.

These last three episodes of this season are some of the BEST slice-of-life anime I've ever seen. 🥰🥰
I think the drinking and looking at the moon was just imagining that they were together doing the same thing, though the stroking his head thing was definitely her making him do what she wanted to do to him. The casual way Ichikawa refers to jerking off without the show making it seem gross is why I love this show. It's such a sympathetic portrayal of masculinity. This is a great show, been loving your reactions. Can't wait for S2.
日本語でしかコメントが出来ないので上手く翻訳され伝わるかわかりませんが、日本の有名な文学者である夏目漱石は「I Love Y ou」を日本語に訳すときに「月が綺麗ですね」と訳しました(今の日本人に比べて昔の日本人は、もっとシャイだったのです)
この事を知っている人達の間では異性と月を見るのは特別な事で「月が綺麗ですね」は愛の告白に等しい言葉なのですが、この知識を勉強が出来る市川が知らず、勉強が得意ではない山田が知っているのでは？と推測されのが面白いポイントです
自分の方では曇って月が見えなかったのに、市川から自分が頼んだ雪景色と共に月の画像が送られた時の山田の心境を想像してみてください

Yamada's dog is actually a different breed than the one on the keychain. Wantaro is a Welsh Corgi, and Kentaro is naturally an Akita dog, the pride of Akita Prefecture. They just have similar colors.
We get more of 2 side characters who will take a bigger role in the next season, Moeko and Ichikawa's sister. Moeko was testing Ichikawa this episode and is a good friend to Yamada and now is really the beginning of her friendship with Ichikawa. Ichikawa's sister is a lot like him. She's really protective of him and doesn't want him to get hurt. Notice how she doesn't tease Ichikawa about Yamada until she realizes the two of them are actually pretty close

I don't know how this series was crafted to be this good, no other of the genre can compete to this PEAK

I love this series so much. I first got into it through the manga, and I'm happy that the anime didn't disappoint.

Spoiler free Clarifications and extras
When they are talking by phone, you can see Milk Tea at the right window of Yamada's room. Highly implied it's the Milk Tea from the school trip that Ichikawa gave.
The "For Now" from Ichikawa, was never very clear what it meant. Personally, in the context, it fits that he meant something like "We are friends for now until I screw up". Whatever the real meaning is, for sure it's not the Accidental Rizz he threw there.
During their second call, Yamada just gave some "orders" to drink and look at the moon so Ichikawa would do exactly what she was doing, to feel like they were doing it together. At that time it shows a panel of the manga Kimi-Iro-Octave and the dialogue says "I want to be with you"
A cute thing about the sister is that after she hears about Yamada she never starts picking on him until she realizes he actually might have a chance because of Ichikawa's circumstances, she is really overprotective.
Moeko was with the Pick-Up senpai because she was legit interested in him, he is literally her type, but what is implied is that she ended up giving up because probably the only thing he wanted from her was Yamada's number.
In the manga, at this point, through the subtlety of the, you can see for sure that Moeko and Serina are noticing that there is "something" between Ichikawa and Yamada.
Chihiho notices she is talking more about Ichikawa and all but she never notices anything more than this. She is canonically incapable of noticing any kind of romantic interactions between ppl.
Seri is sensitive to "spark" & it irritated her easily. But unlike Moe, she knows nothing about them even in the manga.
@@clowtears1898 Serina is on track that they are getting close since the line day. On the anime was not not AS explicit, but when Yamada was investing on Ichikawa there to get hos line, there were panels she was tracking. And on the day they were "practicing making chocolate" (trying not to give too much) But clearly Serina showed awareness that something closer to "romance" was going on, she just didnt care enough to point it out all the time, like Moeko does.
I am up to date with manga and, again, she is pretty aware of 90% of what's going on clearly. Not as much as Moeko but still.

I wont go into details for the sake of others.... but clearly she doesnt go into details because she doesnt care, but from the time they went practcing baking chocolate, she proved that she is always observing AND she knows whats going on, that Ichikawa is rly close to Yamada bur she "doesnt care about topics related to romance and stuff"... She does the stare and all because she likes persona of a Yankee, but she is always observing and noticed Ichikawa and Yamada a long time ago. Since the Line incident at least.

Yamada has already seen Ichikawa with his sister at the fast food place and then at the clothing store and she knows he's there with his family, there is no reason she would assume its NOT his sister.

Yes the bottle thing was a simulated kiss. Moe at first doesn't want to acknowledge him in a try to save him from the dude but when she sees there is no other way than Ichikawa doing it she let them alone to see if Ichikawa is worthy of Yamada and he is so she now sees him as a friend because she knows her girl is in love with him.
