The problem with these compilations is that comedians who are good understand comedic timing, but the people who make the compilations don't. Comedians say things in a certain way in a certain context, and that's a big part of why the jokes are funny. But the people who edit the compilations cut small bits not understanding that sometimes there is a build up to the joke, necessary context that they are removing. And when they do that sometimes the jokes seem awkward, like they come out of nowhere, or just not funny.
It doesn't actually have to do with that, they edit them like this so they don't get removed. The ones that let the jokes be told in their entirely get removed for copyright infringement. If you chop it all up like this is way harder for their algorithms to pick up on that it's copyrighted material.

Nah, I also prefer my music like this. You should hear the super cut of Dark Side of the Moon. All the best bits, none of the fancy filler, boom bang in out in under 3 and a half minutes. Perfection.
Fully agree. The entire SNL standup monologue where he starts talking Israel/Palestine and the 70s being racist is a video in and of itself of hit joke after hit joke. This mashup hurts.
But that's the only way the millennial can steal a man's work and try to make money with it. If they don't ruin it with editing then they'd get copyright striked, in other words they'd get caught stealing. This is like stealing a bike and painting it really badly and getting a small amount of money for it. You know, the millennial Zuckerberg-world version of it.

Imo Louis is way funnier than Bill...and that's nothing against him, Bill Burr is easily top 4 of all comedians. Louis and Bill were pretty much equally popular until the whole scandal thing happened which ironically was also the point when Burr's popularity exploded again. To me Louis is the undisputed Nr.1 while Bill Burr has to battle a difficult triple threat match against Norm McDonnald and George Carlin for 2nd and 3rd. To avoid ranking these three I instead just have a top 4 in my mind where only Louis stands out as my clear favorite
