    greetings, did you feel the difference in power because they say that the ber maf sensor works unevenly and pulls weaker

    So did you just delete codes for maf? Didn't have to adjust the maps at all?

    Are you loading a 1kb BIN file into the DTC editing program?

      No, I am editing a 2MB bin file.

    Why are you removed maf?

    Do you not need to remap the car if you delete MAF? If you are not remapping...will it not just run as it does with the maf unplugged, ie default values?

    • @zokieboi
      @zokieboi  2 роки тому

      Exactly, but disabling DTCs enables us to run the engine without fault lights on.

      Whats the benifit here?

      @@raymondbotha3675 but without a remap so uses map sensor to control fuelling,surely all you get with this delete is the default settings as you do when unplugged?

      @@JINSTASUTUBE the MAF sensor doesn't limit the boost pressure, because it's measuring the atmospheric air flow. By removing it, the ecu will automatically make some estimations for the IQ. It is a bad idea, on the other hand, to remove the MAP sensor, which will limit the IQ and, therefore, the boost pressure. Imo, a better solution would be modifying the MAF's max frequency by a bit lower than it's maximum capability (which it is 730kg/h). By setting it around 720 or so (the ecu stores this value in Hz), when the car exceeds this value, the ECU will detect the MAF as being faulty, thus requesting the MAP to do the calculations. When the mass returns below 720, the MAF begins to operate. By doing that, you don't have to disable the MAF or include AsMod calculations. You also could eliminate rough idling and poor mpg until the turbo spools up.

      @@rlmnt_ But it does not really run any better by just deleting it (you can test by just unplugging it as its same values). I understand if you delete it and were going to remap the car to rely on just the map to control fueling. I'm planning to remove mine, but thats because fitting 35d rocker cover, PVC plate/catchcan and aftermarket airfilter.

    Nice video! I'm very interested in what obd-usb cable you are using and what's all the different softwares?

      Hello, I am using a chinese Galletto v4 interface. Works well with my e60 (530xd 170 kW), also tried and tested on my friend's e60 LCI (525d 145 kW). The software is DTC remover.
