Try doing that in Z scale if you want a challenge. I developed the same system using metal chain about 10 years ago and I have a highway with moving cars in Z scale. I've also done boats in Z scale and am now working on a Z scale monorail system. Z is for those who like a challenge.
I also thought: great, must have it! Got it, looked at that cyclist with my sausagy fingers and broke that thing at once. Now, I use MagnoRail to move around a hairy motorcyclist ....just as great. :-)

Very clever and could easily be adapted, for example a motorbike wouldn't need the clear wheel. Nice.
I would/will detail some pedals and cranks onto the clear disc . They would really stand out!
