  • As many of you know I have been using HTP welders for years. They have always been great never had any issues. I was a little skeptical at first using any "all in one" type machine, but honestly this thing does it all. I haven't fully switched over but I am starting to use it more and more. It's really handy to have.

    I have one and it’s best MPW I’ve ever owned or operated! I would like to mention that turning your amps like stated during your tig pulse welding demonstration, kinda defeats the purpose of pulse tig! Less heat input is why the pulse setting is there.
    Good content though!

    Hi Jim.
    Could you please do a video on your pricing of jobs , for a lot of welders who want to start out on their own. It’s a really big issue with over or under pricing.

    What no plasma cutting (kidding)? Nice machine wish I could afford the 4K price tag.

      And it still does not pulse MiG or pulse stick weld…. Yes you can MiG weld with a spool gun 1/8” or thicker …. The miller has nothing on this one here ….

      I have the Miller also. If I had known about this machine when I was in the market for a new machine two years ago, I probably would have gone with this one. Does everything except plasma cut and make you a sammich. 🤣 I may never need to pulse on stick, but it’d be nice to have it if the need ever arose.

      @@jaimegarcia9032 exactly…. Seems like you didn’t watch the video or you do not understand the concept. Pulse stick works AWESOME to fill big gaps in bad fit up, and it lets you run rods that are normally flat position only (like 7024 or several hard surfacing rods) out of position. What is that good for? Well, besides winning a bet a case of beer…. You don’t have to rent a crane and spend 8 hrs pounding out pins on a gigantic dozer blades to lay it in the flat position to hard surface it …. While the other guy is still removing the blade, I am pretty much done applying the hard surface layer….
      But if course pulse MiG is not a thing and am just a few eggs short of a carton …. It’s alright. I learned to live with that….

    I just bought the inverting 221 and the MTS 220 kind of wish I went with the 2500 Revolution instead. The inverting I got on the fall sale and the mts I got yesterday with the blackfriday sale.

    • @jeremybishop9848
      @jeremybishop9848 10 місяців тому +1

      i have both of those and also a PP300, i can tell you that id rather have the 3 machines due to having to switch wire around and what not. The 220 is portable and is my go to for most things and i keep steel wire in it. When i need to mig heavy aluminum or 1/2" steel, the 300 wins, but i keep aluminum wire in the 300. Saves me alot of time for most of my repair work having 3 machines ready to go all the time.

      @@jeremybishop9848 When I ordered the MTS, I received a call from Heather at HTP to fix my order and customize it a bit. I mentioned the same thing to her and she summed up the same thing you said that I would probably be happier with the dedicated machines for a little more options than to have the one. I see the advantages as well, but I look at the savings I might have had too. It’s not a huge difference but I think I would have saved about 1k. I did go with the watercooled package on the invertig but the sale price was very good.

      I hear ya. I had a ESAB 205 and also a Miller 220. Both were great welders, but they have been sold and there is a HTP 2500 now on my welding cart. It’s simply a better welder across the board. It does every process well and like a dedicated machine. I’ve also tried a few other Makes and Models but this has been the best

      Can you source parts for this machine locally? Being in Italian made machine are there any differences in connections? I was fixing to pull the trigger on the multimatic 220 but it seems with the sale rigjt now I can get fully set up aluminum/steel for a little more than the miller welder.

      Had a 2 ESAB. The ESAB isn’t a bad machine but it doesn’t compare to the HTP, it offers better build quality, more output, more process options, and the the one dial menu on the Esab is goofy

    • @rentedmule1287

      After reading some comments a few others made and a good write up that was done over on Tim welds channel a guy done in the comments, I bought a HTP. He did a good Pros and Cons comparison on some welders, a couple I had owned as well. He said his HTP would run 6010 and I can say it definitely will. But keep in mind If you get your arc too long it will stutter on you like the ESAB done as well as 3 different millers inverter welders. So yes it will but keep your arc close especially when whipping and pausing is done (which I don’t always do). But that’s just the nature of these new inverter machines, they don’t like longer arcs. Also as you may know the quality of electrodes play a big part as well. Some are just junk and stutter more. Some run like a champ.
