- As many of you know I have been using HTP welders for years. They have always been great never had any issues. I was a little skeptical at first using any "all in one" type machine, but honestly this thing does it all. I haven't fully switched over but I am starting to use it more and more. It's really handy to have.

This is really the buy your last machine first machine . I've seen several videos on this machine, And wish it came out last year or before>
I have one and it’s best MPW I’ve ever owned or operated! I would like to mention that turning your amps like stated during your tig pulse welding demonstration, kinda defeats the purpose of pulse tig! Less heat input is why the pulse setting is there.
Good content though!
Hi Jim.
Could you please do a video on your pricing of jobs , for a lot of welders who want to start out on their own. It’s a really big issue with over or under pricing.
What no plasma cutting (kidding)? Nice machine wish I could afford the 4K price tag.
Miller Multimatic 220 has been around for four years now.
And it still does not pulse MiG or pulse stick weld…. Yes you can MiG weld with a spool gun 1/8” or thicker …. The miller has nothing on this one here ….
I have the Miller also. If I had known about this machine when I was in the market for a new machine two years ago, I probably would have gone with this one. Does everything except plasma cut and make you a sammich. 🤣 I may never need to pulse on stick, but it’d be nice to have it if the need ever arose.
Pulse stick thats that lets me know you dont know what your talking about.😅😅😅😅😅
@@jaimegarcia9032 Didn’t watch the video, did ya?
@@jaimegarcia9032 exactly…. Seems like you didn’t watch the video or you do not understand the concept. Pulse stick works AWESOME to fill big gaps in bad fit up, and it lets you run rods that are normally flat position only (like 7024 or several hard surfacing rods) out of position. What is that good for? Well, besides winning a bet a case of beer…. You don’t have to rent a crane and spend 8 hrs pounding out pins on a gigantic dozer blades to lay it in the flat position to hard surface it …. While the other guy is still removing the blade, I am pretty much done applying the hard surface layer….
But if course pulse MiG is not a thing and am just a few eggs short of a carton …. It’s alright. I learned to live with that….
Lovely Machine
Gotta go with PrimeWeld until I win the lottery.
PrimeWeld has great machines!
am also a welder, may I apply for a job at your company because I am impressed and amazed by your company
Very good, thank you for information. Price please?
~$3,800
bellissima, la fanno vicino casa mia,in Italia, la marca è Stel, grande Jimbo's sei fantastico.Come dicono dalle mie parti tieni botta.
I just bought the inverting 221 and the MTS 220 kind of wish I went with the 2500 Revolution instead. The inverting I got on the fall sale and the mts I got yesterday with the blackfriday sale.
i have both of those and also a PP300, i can tell you that id rather have the 3 machines due to having to switch wire around and what not. The 220 is portable and is my go to for most things and i keep steel wire in it. When i need to mig heavy aluminum or 1/2" steel, the 300 wins, but i keep aluminum wire in the 300. Saves me alot of time for most of my repair work having 3 machines ready to go all the time.
@@jeremybishop9848 When I ordered the MTS, I received a call from Heather at HTP to fix my order and customize it a bit. I mentioned the same thing to her and she summed up the same thing you said that I would probably be happier with the dedicated machines for a little more options than to have the one. I see the advantages as well, but I look at the savings I might have had too. It’s not a huge difference but I think I would have saved about 1k. I did go with the watercooled package on the invertig but the sale price was very good.
$4000? I can see why you're not switching over just yet, lol.
Miller 220 is $4500 ESAB 205 4K, Miller 255 about 5k.. Soooo??
New subscriber , love your videos ! Do you have a video on making that table of yours ? Thank you !
This is very similar to the Vulcan Multi Process welder. I wonder how they stack up against each other.
😂😂😂😂 the vulcan is better because its cheaper !
Bahaha 🤣. That’s like comparing a Toyota to a Kia! Apples and Bananas comparison there. But if you want something cheap and rarely weld, and have low expectations, then the Vulcan isn’t a bad choice.
Nice machine.
wish they would have come out with this last year! ended up getting an esab
I hear ya. I had a ESAB 205 and also a Miller 220. Both were great welders, but they have been sold and there is a HTP 2500 now on my welding cart. It’s simply a better welder across the board. It does every process well and like a dedicated machine. I’ve also tried a few other Makes and Models but this has been the best
Can you source parts for this machine locally? Being in Italian made machine are there any differences in connections? I was fixing to pull the trigger on the multimatic 220 but it seems with the sale rigjt now I can get fully set up aluminum/steel for a little more than the miller welder.
Can you Mig weld Aluminum with this machine including Pulse and or double pulse ? ? ?
YES!!!
Yes and very well. It has A/C so you can tig weld aluminum or use the mig aluminum set up and weld aluminum that way.
Pretty sure my ESAB Rebel EMP 205ic does all this.. Why are you saying it's the first true multi process machine?
Because he’s Jimbo enough said
I am pretty sure the esab does not have pulse mig and i am also pretty sure that you cant leave all the welding leads plugged in all at the same time
Esab also does not support spray transfer either.
@@Justforfun-ek7etyes, most machines in that amperage range have mig arc voltage from 24-26 volt max …. Its hard to spray anything with less than 29 volts …. The revolution has 35 volt 😳
Had a 2 ESAB. The ESAB isn’t a bad machine but it doesn’t compare to the HTP, it offers better build quality, more output, more process options, and the the one dial menu on the Esab is goofy
Will this run 6010?
HTP does make quality!
Not good enough for htp to advertise it. Better than the esab 205 acdc and they do advertise it😂
After reading some comments a few others made and a good write up that was done over on Tim welds channel a guy done in the comments, I bought a HTP. He did a good Pros and Cons comparison on some welders, a couple I had owned as well. He said his HTP would run 6010 and I can say it definitely will. But keep in mind If you get your arc too long it will stutter on you like the ESAB done as well as 3 different millers inverter welders. So yes it will but keep your arc close especially when whipping and pausing is done (which I don’t always do). But that’s just the nature of these new inverter machines, they don’t like longer arcs. Also as you may know the quality of electrodes play a big part as well. Some are just junk and stutter more. Some run like a champ.
@@rentedmule1287 Thank you!👍👍
Pulse stick 😅😅😅😅 why you need all those features for😅😅😅😅
If you want to weld something with poor fitup or you want to run rods that are rated for flat position only ( like some hard surfacing rods) out of position, the pulse makes that a breeze
