This tierlist made me realise how powerful some of these weapons really are. I personally almost only use bows in zero dawn besides the adept icerail and firething so i never really realised how useful something like the tripcaster could be
I'm close to finishing the main story line in the remaster, and i've found the rattler to be far more effective than I remember from the PS4 game. Its been one of my go-to weapons in this playthrough. Thanks for the advice, Chazz!
the tripcaster is something that i didn't appreciate when i played the complete edition 3 years ago. coming back from almost 400 hours of forbidden west, it made me appreciate how powerful and incredibly helpful tripcaster is specially in the early parts of the game. even in late game they are still incredibly good. my first playthrough of remastered i used it for almost 80 percent of the entire playthrough. tripcaster was severely nerfed in forbidden west but still doable.
I'm ready to platinum HZD and will definitely check out the rattler -- I used the boltblaster a lot in HFW when I got platinum , advanced arrows in HFW on ultra hard are very expensive, the bolt blaster was my go to for all around damage.
something better than the shadow weapons are the lodge weapons you get from getting the higest sun on the hunting grounds, and better than that are the bows u get from the dlc they will absolutely destroy machines
Out of curiosity... is there an Adept version of the Banuk weapons? (e.g. the Banuk Powershot) If not, it seems to me that the Standard Banuk weapons are still better than the Shadow Adept weapons. The coils only add a percentage of the base stats. The base stats are much better on the Banuk weapons. So even with an extra coil slot, the Adept weapons are never going to be as good as the standard Banuk weapons. Now if there's Adept Banuk weapons... those have gotta be OP AF.
The Rattler was pretty underrated for me, being overpowered by the bows in damage and practicality. Until I gave a try with 3 Pristine Coils and a max Handling coil. It killed Thunderjaws like nothing with those frozen heart shots 😎🔥
I prefer ranged combat. The Rattler is more a close range specialist weapon, best used when the fight has to be in close against a large and some medium machines. The spread wastes too many rounds missing small targets, especially the initial "Kill five humans" tutorial. Most often I break this out for things like the final fight in a Cauldron where I usually don't have the room to draw a sharpshot bow, or when large machines are fast enough I can't break away and the fight is a short range scramble.

I just completed the Proving. I'm looking forward to getting the rattler.

Done with the shield weaver armor, now with the weapon. Many thanks for this bro, much enjoying experience rather than the main quest 😅
They should give more unique weapon in HFW..that far zenith weapon not enough😢

You had the ice and lighting what about the fire one or didn't you know how to pick it up?

Best way to get damage coils
Hammer and Steel quest, where u can get infinite purple coils and shards. It's pretty easy just watch a video
I had weapons but i went through the gate and now all my bows disappeared? Anyone know why?
How to get icerail
The stormslinger eats echo shells, iirc.
Any of Aloy's ally has alloy or none of Aloy's ally has alloy?
You didn’t explain how to get the adept tripcaster
You just buy it from Meridian. The Adept Lodge Tripcaster is better though. You need full suns from all the hunter lodges.
Is this an AI narrator? The way it pronounces "tearblaster" is bugging me. Lol
