    Thank you, Lee Stroble. You are such an inspiration to me. And what a powerful message. I haven't met or even ever heard of anyone doing such passionate research to actually learn what it is that they don't believe. How wonderful it would be for the Kingdom if only everyone cared enough to actually do the research. People are people and this probably won't change and because of that I've made it my personal mission to take 'your story' to as many unbelievers as I possibly can. Thank you, Sir. I am thankful for you.

The God who will grant your prayers, but not that of the millions of starving and dying in other parts of the world. and just so you know, a large Christian based hospital did research into the effectiveness of prayer... it found that patients who were prayed for but didnt know it, had exactly the same recovery rate as patients who were not prayed for. Patients who knew that were being prayed for had a slightly worse result. So if you really care about truth, justice, decency, stop praying, and stop worshiping. 24:39 So what's god's standard? Perfection. How does he expect us to live up to that standard, if we have inherited the sin nature? That's an impossible standard to live up to. To have that standard in the first place (which is impossible for us to meet) is ridiculous.

    • @lc77713
      @lc77713 2 роки тому +1

      Hello! Maybe I’m a tad late to answer this but I felt compelled to. So…you’re right. God’s standard is perfection. A solid truth in the world is that no one is perfect. We’re all humans and we all make mistakes. A common misconception is that people think Christians are hypocrites for preaching about perfection while we ourselves still consistently mistakes that almost seem inevitable to happen in the first place. The answer to that is also yes, but, that’s the point. We, Christians, are very aware of our imperfections and we do mess up. We mess up A LOT in fact but, by realizing that truth, we then realize we need Jesus; who is perfect and lived a perfect life, to save us and be an advocate for us. He died for our sins because He loves us so much and so we don’t have to be prefect just to be with Him and to love him. We just have to accept Him as our savior, love Him, strive to be like Him, and keep moving forward.
      So, it’s not about the ability to be perfect. Would God like us to be? Sure. He gives us a lot of standards on how to be. However, it’s because of our imperfections and our mistakes we got the gift of grace and life by Jesus Christ. Now, does this mean we should just continue to live in sin? No. But if we mess up, we now have a way to repent and start over.

    • @bunnylady6758
      @bunnylady6758 2 роки тому +4

      That is why Jesus came. He fulfilled all works of righteousness. He became sin for us, who knew no sin. For by one man, sin entered into the world. But by one man shall all be saved. For by grace are ye saved through faith, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God.

    • @mommaof6

      Theres where Jesus my Savior comes. Bible says He came to save not to condem. Open the bible for yourself

    • @ToddlovesCopper
      @ToddlovesCopper Рік тому

      In the beginning it was perfection, unity. Then because God loved us enough to give us free will to choose, we had the ability to choose evil and we did. And have been ever since. God sent his son on a rescue mission into rebel territory, taking the punishment on himself because you're absolutely right. You can't meet the standard, you can't save yourself. He doesn't demand you do, but draws you close, takes it on himself. If God's standard was easy, we'd all be OK without him right? We're not, because of our own choices. It is in God's nature to have the standard of perfect justice or he wouldn't be a just God. It's easy for you to say that God should sweep your sins under the rug and be okay with you because you don't realize you've done anything that bad. But no standard means no justice, and God is a God of unfailing love and perfect justice. You would not call a judge just who let murderers and rapists go because "well nobody is perfect, that's a high standard to expect". God knows intimately every thought you didn't say, everything you imagined doing, and one day he's going to bring everyone to account as is right. The only hope on that day is putting your trust in Jesus, God made flesh to be the final sacrifice for our sins.

    Lee forgot to mention hell as a possible destination in the afterlife.
    The history of how Christian authors invented hell and the evil character of Satan is interesting. They modeled hell after the Greek Tartarus.
    There was no hell as eternal punishment in the Old Testament.
    Sheol was originally the permanent abode of the dead for both righteous and wicked in the Old Testament.
    The satan was just an adversary in God's court in the Old Testament. The story of Job is a good example.
    Christian authors modeled the evil character of Satan from the Zoroastrian evil deity Angra Mainyu.
    Zoroastrianism is a Persian religion founded in the 7th century BCE predating Christianity.and Judaism.
    Judaism evolved from the earlier polytheistic Canaanite religion around the 5th century BCE.
    The original Israelites were indigenous Canaanites.
    Amazing what you'll learn if you research and study the history.

    I used to like Lee's investigative approach and his earlier books were useful, but this one is just wishful thinking.
    The problem with this book is it misrepresents what the Bible teaches and replaces it with people's so called experiences (delusions). The Bible says that when we die we rest in our graves until the resurrection of the dead, at Jesus' second coming, and that the dead have no consciousness or knowledge.
    All these doctrines that suggest we go to Heaven when we die are misleading. How could we go to Heaven before the judgement, which only takes place when Jesus returns.
    I don't blame the atheists who criticize this book about Heaven and others like it. As it misrepresents God and what his Bible teaches it presents the most loving God as being indifferent to suffering which simply isn't true.
    Furthermore, hell is not a place of endless agony. It is a permanent separation from God and all that is good. Given that God has provided an opportunity to everyone to be saved, through Jesus' sacrifice, those who are excluded from Heaven are only those who have rejected God's gift. If you don't want what he has offered you he lets you have what you thought you wanted.
    As for Lee's brother, he chose to not accept Jesus' gift so he got what he chose. That may make Lee sad but God will not force anyone to chose Him. It's a free chose.

    Acts 2:38 ……

  • @bbell873
    @bbell873 Рік тому

    The end. The Beast
    Lawlessness and iniquity were already at work when Revelation in the Bible was written. People had already started another movement and were preaching another Jesus, 2 Cor 11, 2 Thes 2:7. And it was. for this reason. Revelation was penned in riddles and a conundrum to understand. For the abandonment of the truth had already begun and the mysteries of heaven were hidden from those of this world. And is now revealed in this last day, Mt 13:11, Rv 14:6. What Revelation tells is a perplexing story. And to paraphrase what it forewarns and says: is there are two beasts that come to power.
    The way the story unfolds in Revelation is the first beast will suffer a head wound and appears dead when a second beast emerges on the scene. The second beast acquires all the first beast's power and helps heal the first beast's head wound, whereby he restores the first beast.
    At this point, the second beast will make an image of the first beast. He will kill everyone who refuses to worship him or the image he has created.
    And if that isn't enough the second beast has a number for his name, which is 666.
    Now to understand what Revelation is saying; You will have to realize when Jesus came he cast evil spirits out of many people. This enabled him to heal them.
    One example of spirit possession was when, Jesus was in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, the spirit in this man cried out with a loud voice, saying, Leave us alone; what do we have to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? have you come to destroy us? I know you are; the Holy One of God. At which point Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and cast the evil spirit out of him. Lk 4: 33-35. That verse in Scripture reveals the devil is an evil spirit that inhabits people and he knows Jesus is the Christ.
    Later that day, when the sun was setting, many sick people were brought unto Christ; and Jesus laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. And those who were possessed by devils came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ, Lk 4: 40-41, Mt 8:16. So you see, evil spirits in people will confess Christ is the Son of God but obviously don’t follow his teachings.
    There are many other Scriptures that reveal this evil spirit's existence. And whether people believe in this presentation of the Bible or not, the beast is an evil spirit and the devil mentioned in Revelation!
    Then if you can understand the beast is an evil spirit, you will be able to interpret Revelation thirteen and Revelation seventeen. Whereas a beast would rise and it would have seven heads but these heads are actually mountains, Rv 17:9. As we know, on this day, there are seven continents that make up this world. And if you could visualize a continent rising out of the sea, you would know it is a huge mountain. Hence the seven heads on this beast are the seven continents because it was this evil spirit's goal to deceive the entire world, Rv 12:9!
     Now the first player or, as Revelation explained, the "first beast" was the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire ruled the world with an iron hand. They didn't accept Christ's teachings of evil spirits possessing them and they were in throes of Satan. They followed their own philosophies and once Christ was crucified; they persecuted the true Christians. Only God knows the atrocities they put them through. Whereby, it was given unto him (the evil spirit in them) to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations Rv 13:7. The world.
    Then Revelation explains the beast would suffer a head wound and appear dead yet he would survive. So, one continent or as Revelation explains one head on the beast was diffused. And of course, that was the Roman Empire (Europe). The Roman Empire was annihilated but after some years the continent was reestablished, however, they didn’t regain the power, she once enjoyed, Rv 13:3. This was because a second beast would rise. His appearance was like one who had two horns like a lamb and spoke as a dragon, Rv 13:11. Having two horns signifies two powers, and a lamb symbolizes Jesus.
    When you read Scripture you will find the true church was being persecuted and they were committing genocide against them, Rv 18:24. Even Revelation was penned in prison.
    Then in approximately 666 AD history reveals the Roman Empire’s demise. This was when there arose two apostate theologies fitting the description of a lamb. Both are divided into many issues but worship the same god in fact three of them. At first, they destroyed Israel which was not a nation for nearly two thousand years Mth 24: 16-20. At which time they proclaimed to the world all go to heaven as they were capable to lead all to Christ. These men saw how the true apostles called upon God's Spirit, and they assumed they could do the same thing. However, not established by God, they caused those who followed them to receive an evil spirit whom they called the Holy Spirit. This was in fact the abomination that brought ruin upon the world. Hence the mark of the beast is those who worship him.
    Revelation explains this by saying; The second beast would cause the world to worship the first beast. Which was an evil spirit that inhabited those of the Roman Empire. Even, 2 Corinthians 11:4 explains they preach another Jesus and take into them another spirit. With their own mouths, they declare there is no need to follow Christ's teaching as that is a chore (work), and will wallow in sin screaming the blood and not love Rv 17:6. But instead, when we follow Christ's instructions we repent because we love him, want to do his will, and don't consider his commandments a chore. Thereby we are saved by his blood.
    Two thousand years ago Paul explained in Acts twenty, verses thirty, and thirty-one how these imposters were sitting with him. He warned how they would become apostate theologians. And explained how they would not spare the true church. But in fact, they would speak headstrong theology and would be against what Christ taught. They were obviously covetous and their goal was to make merchandise out of people and get followers to follow them. So, I hope you see, because it is one thing to sin which all of us are guilty of, but another thing to be governed by evil's depths. One example of a person who is governed by the depths of depravity is those who are serial killers. And if you knew a religious leader was conveying lies to his flock, causing them to die and end up in hell wouldn't you consider this leader a serial killer?
    These false apostles caused the world to invite another spirit into them which in turn caused the world to worship the beast as God. This of course is the abomination of desolation that Christ spoke of in Matthew twenty-four. Due to he would sit in place of the one who is Holy.
    Revelation explains when this movement started no one would be able to buy or sell less they have the mark of the beast or the number of his name Rv 13:17. History reveals when their movement began religion was forced upon all and then it dwarfed into what we see today. If it was England everyone was forced to attend church. Their theology was taught in all schools and they indoctrinated all. Even in Rome, we find the same situation. In fact, many fleeing Europe to America claimed it was to seek religious freedom because people could not buy or sell and were forced to worship their gods.
    But the problem was confusion had been established and theology distorted until it is what we see in this day. Ten different interpretations, and many different denominations. Babylon means confusion and thus we find many false religions speaking different theologies causing confusion as to what the truth is. As all claim, they are of God but have different views? All the while, Scripture says God is not the author of confusion 1 Cor 14:33.
    How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, I am no widow and shall see no pain Rv 18:7. And I heard a voice say come out of her my people. Therefore her plagues shall come in one day, death, famine. And she shall be utterly burned for strong is the Lord who judges

    Oh so now he proves heaven and surprise a book follows. Here is the problem with anything Strobel has said or will say. I'm not the only channel on youtube that is debunking his claims from his interviewees one by one as I have an entire playlist just on Strobel's C For C. He is an award winning legal journalist in the past but yet never checked a contrary opinion in his interviewees. He never fact checked his so called evidence--he used their books and it is in his own book C For C as sources. Almost all of his interviewees were fundamentalist--could you be more biased? And now yet he has another book more opportunistic for money being made from his base. Same category as the Burpos. So know I take nothing seriously from him as objective. Cheers, DCF

    "When we say…Jesus Christ…was produced without sexual union, and was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended to heaven, ***we propound nothing new or different*** *from what you believe regarding those whom you call Sons of God. [In fact]…if anybody objects that [Jesus] was crucified, this is in* ***common*** *with the sons of Zeus (as you call them) who suffered, as previously listed [he listed Dionysus, Hercules, and Asclepius].* Since their fatal sufferings are all narrated as not similar but different, so his unique passion should not seem to be any worse."
    *Note how Justin (Martyr) is less of a fool than modern Christian apologists. He admits that differences don’t matter.* Since each and every one of the suffering and dying gods are slain by different means, one cannot argue the mytheme requires exactly the same means of death. “But Osiris can’t have inspired the Jesus myth because Osiris wasn’t nailed to a cross” is a stupid argument. The mytheme is simply death. Being killed. Suffering and dying. The exact mode of death can vary freely. It makes no difference to the existence and influence of the mytheme. It’s simply the particular instantiation of a generic abstraction. *And Justin’s argument (that Satan invented these fake religions to confuse people) entails Justin agreed the mytheme existed: indeed, it was demonically promulgated, multiple times. Intentionally.*
    *Likewise, Justin notices the mytheme is not virgin birth, but sexless conception. Of which many examples had already been popularized in pagan mythology (there just happens to also have been examples of actual virgin born gods as well). And by his argument (that the Devil was deliberately emulating the Jesus mytheme, in advance), Justin clearly accepted the same principle for “rising again” after death:* the particular exact metaphysics of the resurrection could, like the exact method of death or conception, vary freely. The mytheme consists solely of the abstraction: returning to life. Somehow. Some way. We will say bodily, at the very least. But what sort of body (the same one, a new one, a mortal one, an immortal one), didn’t matter. *If it had, Justin would have made the argument that “those gods” weren’t really resurrected. But that argument, never occurs to him. Nor did it to any other apologist of the first three centuries.*
    *Ancient Christians well knew there was nothing new about their dying-and-rising god. Not in respect to the mytheme.* Their claims were solely that his particular instantiation of it was better, and the only one that actually happened. *They didn’t make up the stupid modern arguments that dying-and-rising god myths didn’t exist or weren’t part of a common mytheme everyone knew about. For example, in the same century, Tertullian, in Prescription against Heretics 40, makes exactly the same argument as Justin. Funny that. They had better access to the evidence than we do. They knew what was really and widely the case. We should listen to them.*
