I don’t care what anyone says you two are the best final finishers on home build camper vans on UA-cam. I feel I have the right to judge this having been a luxury yacht interior fitter. Keep up the great work
Great renovation. Be aware that diesiel sprinters hate the cold weather below minus 10C. Same with high altitude. If you're going to really cold places, you need to upgrade the ignition coils, thermostat, and egr valves, as well all relevant sensors need upgrades and remaps. You might want to consider removing the erg all together. Also, all fluid and lubricantes need upgrading, and the deisel will need an addative to stop it gumming up when idle over night 1-2% petrol in the mix will work at a push. An insulated engin bay cover also helps. If operating really cold, insulated fuel lines and tanks can be installed. Like always, germany and sweeden aftermarket brands are the secret here.
There's a great ski film called CLAIM, it's all about the idea of celebrating properly when you've done something you're proud of! Worth a watch 😉 Keep up the good work guys!
Guys I absolutely love your channel, your banter and connection with each other is fantastic you both put a smile on my face I look forward to your videos every week,
Enjoy your antics🤗 Diesel waxes over when cold so I hope you have something in mind to keep it liquid. Also bottled gas freezes when pressure is released. Stay warm and safe🍻
Cheers mate, yeah so I only learned the other day from the farmer next door that they put an affective in Diesel to stop it freezing and the petrol stations do this automatically but he has to ask for it when ordering a tank refill for his farm
On the door / drawer latch plates, if you get a small length of Aluminium angle, mark and drill a couple of holes (that correspond with the latch plate) in the right distance from the inner edge. hold up against the side panel and drill through the holes, a small nick filed out on the edge will serve as a centre mark. Another template for the collection 🙂
TBT videos are always well executed. Perfect content, knowledge and personality to create very engaging footage. Jon's knowledge base is so vast, he has confidence in all his work which is more enjoyable to watch than some who are all talk. There is something about Jess which is very endearing. Her smile is gorgeous and her manner is totally adorable. I hope their relationship off camera has this same strong dynamic. Its inspiring to watch. ❤️

Cheers mate, so we often do a poll on instagram and Facebook if we can’t decide what’s best to do, the aluminium on the cupboards was a vote, and glad we did it now too 😁

Yes mate so we will be putting a video out every Saturday of the trip, we tend to travel quite quick so normally get quite allot in so yeah hopefully you enjoy it 😁👍
Fair play for landing a big boy sponsor, well deserved!! I use quite a bit of R-Tech kit, I have one of their mig's, hand held plasma cutter and the CNC plasma uses an R-Tech unit. They're just up the road from us and have great customer service. One thing John FFS teach Jess how to talk, it's data not darta :) damn Aussies!! Hi guys! Long time watcher first time commenter. Have you considered just running the number 1 waste straight out the van floor (to eliminate need for emptying)? That’s what we did with our camper and realistically wild wees are somewhat acceptable anyway. We put a valve on the tank so we could keep it onboard if need be but mostly just let it drain out (unless on a site or someone’s drive or something). Love watching you Guys, zero chance of me building a camper, well not in this lifetime 😂. I’ve been Caravanning over 30 yrs so got the wanderlust. I have my own UA-cam Channel and love everything Caravanning. Your vlogs are very professional, looking forward to next episode 👍
If you put the blinds/fly screens the other way up it means that you can peek out of the top of the window whilst providing more privacy as the blind obscures more of the interior as viewed from outside. Dave Birmingham
Nice 👌🏼. The only thing I would have personally added would have been an access door for under the bed/garage so that I could squirm in if there was a problem and it was huffing it down outside. Unless you're going to do a lift up bed that is.
You are doing a great job. Colors are not for me but man it look great. Thats for the bungee, they are so practical in so many mays, youl find your self thanking him for putting them in. Ofcause you won't, but you shoud tell him, thats 30 years maridge exoereance talking. It's the little things in life that count and come up latet when you think about things. You need curtains. Love the idear about the boot door with the light that leeds directley to the kitche so when you load shipping you dont have to klimb the steps to load it. One thing thogh i dont know but you need some sort of sound dampening on the walls, it's just a bit echoey. Plus its an other layer of insulation for when it get's cold and you got to use a heater. An electic awning on the side of the van is also a great idear so that i the summer you can send time outside in the shade usung your outside electricety, dont know if you have thoght of that. A clap down table serving for an outside table top enableing you to cook and maybe put a flatscreen on it to watch some youtub on the big screen outside. Last but not least outside cladding around the bottom chassis making the van look stramligne and peotect you tanks from 1, vue, incase of tampering with them. 2 wether. Things get uggly verry quickley if the sun is shining on them spetialy if they are blak. I washed my black Tshirt and left it outside in the sun to dry and forgot to bring it in for one day. Next evening when i got it of the chair, the sun had faded all the colour. Normaly no probmem but was my LV and i can tell you i now do arrent aownd the animals and stables in style.lol
Thanks very much we are really happy with how it’s coming together. We don’t plan to use it in the summer but they are some nice ideas. The echo will be much better once we get the soft furnishings in 😀

Brilliant video as always!! The time viewing it goes so fast. Very interesting and very entertaining. Hope all is well and hope you have a great weekend, take care of yourselves
Brilliant and thank you ...power tools are expensive and don't last for ever but make life much easier in a shorter period of time a screw driver versus a power driver air gun vs a ratchet working on blocks vs working on a lift in all honesty it would be much easier for me to park outside your workshop and get the job done a big upgrade to my kitchen and the kitchen table but then a ratchet dose the job ( I had to fix a window regulator rather than buying a new one with a simple weld it was great to find goe with a welder the regulator still working 5 years later and the others didn't break yet ) .....we need to discuss important tools that will make life easier while building our own van I mean we don't build a van every day of the week but yeah nice one much love and repect 💪

That’s really nice of you to say, thanks mate. There’s nothing better than travelling the world in your own little home though is there! 💙
Morning you 2 I hope you have had a good week and been nice to each other 😂
😂😂 there might of been a minute or 2… maybe 😂
If you put the blinds/fly screens the other way up it means that you can peek out of the top of the window whilst providing more privacy as the blind obscures more of the interior as viewed from outside. Dave Birmingham
Nice Dave, love it ingenious idea that one 👌
Nice 👌🏼. The only thing I would have personally added would have been an access door for under the bed/garage so that I could squirm in if there was a problem and it was huffing it down outside. Unless you're going to do a lift up bed that is.
We did thing about doing something like this, would be good if you had dogs too as they could have the garage as there bed 👍
The echo will be much better once we get the soft furnishings in 😀
Has to be, the most entertaining ad I've seen on UA-cam! If they were all like that, AdBlocker would go out of business! 😂😂
Cracking video again guys, keep up the good work!
Cheers mate, nice of you to say as we were a bit dubious about people’s reaction to it, means allot 👍
Beautiful bunjie can't beat a bunjie
Yes John! Legend 👍
Goallllllllllllllll the bungee made it lol great work guys
Get in 💪👍😂
Just love you guys...You can't have one without the other. You are so entertaining and funny. John, love your tool talk and Jess certainly uses them well. Can't wait for the final finish..❤❤

jon and jess you two if you have time is to fit out these vans as another buisness with your skill level it would take off once again its an awesome job you guys have done keep it up
Cheers mate much appreciated 😁👍
The vans looking amazing guys, im telling everyone about your channel its getting better and better thanks guys .
Thanks ever so much for that Chris, we really appreciate it 💙
Maybe an LED light behind the water tank would help with viewing the water level 🙏
Nice idea 👌
Thoroughly enjoying your you tube streams.......Ive watched your Australia trip...travels through Europe....and back home....all the van conversions which are brilliant. My son Chris got me hooked on this channel....he would love to convert a van and travel....but all pipe dreams at the moment. The pair of you are so funny and lovely I wish you well. Not many things make me laugh these days but you two do.....stay happy and safe...can't wait for next saturday..I'm 72
Cheers mate, tell Chris to keep plugging away mate and chase the dream, it will be worth it for sure, thanks for following along with us too 💪💪💪💪💙💙💙
Thank you for taking the time to reply.....I will tell Chris...... I laughed at your "Cheers mate".....Im Eileen age72@@truebluetravellers
😂😂😂 well you can be my 72 year old mate Eileen 😂💙
Brilliant video as always!! The time viewing it goes so fast. Very interesting and very entertaining. Hope all is well and hope you have a great weekend, take care of yourselves
Thanks Peter 💙👍
Cheers mate, that’s much appreciated 👍
Well done you 2 it looks brilliant. Good luck with the artic mission.
Cheers mate that’s much appreciated 👍
For the first time in my life, I feel the need for a plasma cutter! Looks awesome, can’t wait to see it finished. I’m still volunteering to drive the Defender to pull you out of trouble on your trip 😂
😂😂 you never know when you might need a plasma cutter hey, 😂 cheers mate 👍
Bungee looks mint! Good work!
👌👌👌 thing of beauty hey 😂 cheers mate 👍

Glad your hair has started to grow a bit, looks far less grim now. Great build great van great videos, look forward to the next build
😂😂😂 L’Oréal have been chasing me to do hair commercials but just don’t have time with the build 😂😂 thanks very much 👍
Always trust the MK1 eyeball for levels or you could use your own dipstick!! 😂
😂😂😂👌
Can you go through the weight of the van beforehand and when completed everything, ie keeping it under 3500 so no c1 license is needed thanks just love the fun way you do the videos 👍
Cheers mate, so yep it’s was 2060kg unladen, with steps and ac unit removed,
We will get it weighed too once complete and will be doing a full cost breakdown too for the whole build 👍
John had his celebration dance, but where were the guns this week Jess
😂😂 I know, gutted I didn’t get them in, double next week to make up for it 💪💪
Just some info, don't know how much you make kitchen doors for, I bought new ones for my static caravan eg 715 x 395 £33.77 , 715x 295 £29.33. Shaker doors Matt finish. This is from a firm in Wigan ( Homestyle kitchen & bedroom doors) excellent quality and Service. Hope the info helps
Brilliant this is really helpful thanks, what wood material and thickness did they make it from and was this painted too 👍
I designed and make the corner clamp adapters and well chuffed to see you guys using them!!
Ah Brilliant good man, love people who comes up with ideas like this 👌👍
Genuinely love this series. As someone who barely owns a set of screwdrivers that tool setup makes me so jealous haha.
😂😂😂 cheers mate 👍
What a beautiful build, you have created a lovely smart cosy van....only just fallen onto your channel, and so glad I have, you are so funny and entertaining. Love the craftsmanship
Thanks very much Sharon, lovely of you to say 😁
Jon, you should have made a nice white Bungee, Jess might have been happier with it, looking forward to your trips in them, have just finished catching up on all the videos, amazing you are at 40K subscribers now .. keep it going
Cheers mate, yeah I know crazy right, 40k 👌 mind blowing, she probably would of liked the white one more 🤔 definitely glad I fitted the black one now 😂😂
The latch jig is brilliant, I wish I had seen this last year.
I watched 15 of your videos.
My girlfriend thinks I'm insane 😂

You two have very impressive skills.Great to watch your videos and the Sainsbury’s van conversion is just another level.
Thanks very much. That’s really lovely of you to say 💙
I wish I had your skills, and equipment to do a camper.
Thanks very much 💙
Hello both 😊so enjoyed your video, the chatter and laughter is 😂 wonderful. The simple use of template to set the position of the door fittings was so good. Liked the bungee cord. Best wishes from Lincolnshire
Cheers John, much appreciated again mate, 👍
Love the little tutorials and advice throughout the video. The little viewing window for the fresh watertank was genuis. Also the rabbit hole scenario is how i found you guys!
Just to add in wales buzzing means stinking, so hearing jess say "i am absolutely buzzing" was wonderful. Doing a cracking job.
😂😂😂 cheers mate, to be fair Jess is buzzing Most days, (in the welsh way ) 😂😂😂

Cheers mate, glad you enjoy it 💙
I can't help but really like these two❤
Thanks 😁💙
As ever the most engaging and entertaining channel on UA-cam. You are certainly masters at building campers for all scenarios. Jon you are a comedic nut with great technical knowledge (and Google), and Jess, talents abound. The best Aussie in the UK and on UA-cam. 😊
I’m sure it’s mental hard work to compile these videos, but they are excellently done. What a couple 🚐
What a thing to say 💙 thanks ever so much that’s so love of you and we really appreciate it 😊
I love what you have done with the van. Oh yeah, the bungee helps set it off, great idea. 😊
U have an eye for style by the sounds of it Ivan, something Jess lacks 😂😂
Your van build is on point , so neat and perfect.but you too are amazing, you make saturday mornings worth getting up for. A dream team .
Would you ever make a list of all the parts used in the build from heating supplier to toilet ect. May help us all a little. 😊
Cheers mate, yeah we said the other day we will do this on our next build, we do the costs but will put a list of all parts used, unless we do it at the time tho it would take forever but defo for the next build 👍
