Wow you was everything director etc etc as well as actor how did you deal with all of that stress? I don’t know if I would’ve been able to do all that work all by myself why didn’t you just get family and friends to at least help you out while you would do the acting part. But this turned out good. Very impressive
Thanks! I love doing this kinda stuff and I’m trying to practice a bit of everything. Unfortunately UA-cams compression absolutely destroyed the quality that it has pre upload (especially in the shadowy parts). I wish you could see what it actually looks like but I’m happy you like it! Personally I find it more stressful the more people there are because I then have to manage everyone and tell them what I want them to do all the time. Sure, the shoot may go much faster and be more fun but at the same time it might not turn out exactly the way I wanted it to. Besides, if I’m not in full control then it won’t meet my exact vision and I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I did have my brother operating the camera in most of the film so it wasn’t just me alone, but yes I did teach him how to use the camera and I told him exactly what to do in every shot. For this film specifically I wanted to make it with a minimal amount of people, i.e., my brother and I. In the future I will definitely work with more family and friends but they’re not available all of the time, so expect to see a lot more of me with my brother behind the camera or vice versa. Thanks again!
