The press is always going to poke into the personal lives of celebs, so the question will be asked. What I object to, and what I gather is what you are really objecting to, is the way this question is asked, like it's some juicy scandal. If it were more, "Gotta girlfriend? Oop, shouldn't assume, what about a boyfriend, hm? Eh?" it would still be annoying, grant you, but at least not homophobic...

I find it really interesting that in American interviews about this often get so judgy about that AMA thing - this one particularly so. When it does get mentioned in other countries, it's no big deal - if anything the interviewers seem as baffled by the kerfuffle as him. To be fair, he did more than just kiss another guy, there was some groping and stuff too, but nothing that was particularly shocking or horrifying - or that female artists haven't done on stage (and on TV) for donkey's years.
