Dear Ian, There’s a lot of interest in Spitfire models right now so this seems nice. It looks like there is a separated instrument panel decals which I would suppose accentuate the blind flying panel nicely. Good luck! Regards, Z
Thankyou very much for the nice comments. Yes, the decal for the blind panel is separate. We will see how well they go down. The decals are made in Italy but that is the only info I have on them.
Hi Ian looks like a nice kit tat I've "errrrrmd" about getting myself and not quite pulled the trigger yet. Need to see what room I've got. As for the variant letter, it was indeed to do with the wing but was specially about what the armament options were. A wing - original 8 .303 mg's B wing - modified A wing that had one 20mm Hispano replacing two of the mg's in each wing C wing - aka 'Universal' wing allowing anything from 8 to 10 .303 Brownings, to four 20mm Hispanos, to twin anti-tank 40mm Vickers "S" guns and a pair of .303's to be fitted into the same wing. The most common layout though was the same config as the B wing D wing - a modified wing for use on the long range photo recce birds
I enjoyed this piece as I was wondering what it was like however £18 that you paid puts it in a class of its own!! My option is the Airfix 1:24 new build however it’s circa £100 so………..it is I feel far better with many options (you just mentioned the Revell is 10 years old) so it’s a big think although the Revell isn’t £18 list price. Let’s see Bob England
I have the old version of the 1/24 Airfix Spitfire to build and I didn't want to go all in at that scale until I had built something in-between ;). For £18, it should resemble a Spitfire at least ;)
@@baymodels I Was born in Lancaster, lived in Morecambe for a number of years and my family still live in the area, and visit regularly, there used to be an awesome model shop just next to the bridge from Morecambe into Lancaster ( was owned by a friend from college) but that closed a number of years ago unfortunately. good luck with your Channel Ian hope all goes well for you.

Hi Ian , I haven't built one of these but it looks straight forward and the parts count is reasonable, good luck with the build. steve.
Thanks Steven. Just a matter of taking my time. I am not the world's fastest modeller ;)
Very cool. I am going to be building some planes soon. Used to build them as a kid. Just dropped you a sub.
Thanks Butch. Great t see you :)
Hi Ian, good luck with this build, one of the worlds most iconic aircraft, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍
Thanks Les. I actually have several Spitfires in the stash, so expect more of them at some point :)

Would that be Morecambe Bay by any chance?
It would indeed :)
