I stopped at the Wild Turkey gift shop last fall and Jimmy Russell was actually hanging out in the gift shop signing bottles, talking with people, and taking pictures. I was able to get a bottle of the 70th Anniversary signed by the man himself. He was very personable. He didn’t just sign and move the line along. He took time to talk with everyone. Wanted to know where everyone was from, etc.
Merry Christmas!🎄🎁 I’m getting ready for bed and watching you gentlemen from Japan. I’m from WA state visiting my first and new born granddaughter, whose parents are stationed overseas.
Merry Christmas guys! Love y’all’s channel and have learned so much. Just started getting into whiskey over the past 4-5 months. My favorite channel I have found no question, appreciate you guys so much. New on my journey and try to stay under $50 with my bottles, but favorites I’ve had so far are eagle rare and powers 3 swallows!
Merry Christmas, you guys just made my day ...... I'll be retiring from the fire department Nov 2025; we just bought a home in northeast Missouri and I just found out that Cedar Ridge is only a 2 hour drive from our new home; can't wait to visit them. Most memorable: Smoke Wagon Uncut the Younger
Agree wholeheartedly on Cedar Ridge and the Wild Turkey 70th. I was able to get a bottle of the 70th when I did a tour at the distillery this fall. I also got to meet both Eddie and Jimmy Russell that day. What a great trip! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Lucky enough to live within 10 minutes of Cedar Ridge 👌🏻 they’re definitely doing incredible stuff. If you ever get the chance to try their Lost Pirate 8-year rum, it’s absolutely one of the best rums I’ve ever had 🏴☠️
Merry Christmas, watching while doing the dishes from last night so that my wife can’t be upset about it. Cheers and I hope everyone has a good holiday with family and friends!
Watching this on the 28th in NW Ohio, sitting on my deck, smoking a cigar. It's 57 degrees and sunny and I'm taking advantage of every minute. Cheers, guys.
Westward Milestone is my most memorable whiskey this year. Such a unique pour that just makes you want to keep coming back. Like an apple pie in a glass. Love it but trying to only break it out on special occasions due to the price and availability
Have only had the barrel proof and single malt from cedar ridge, but love them. I brought a bottle of the barrel proof to my aunts for Christmas dinner to share with my cousins. It was a big hit. Impossible to beat for the price
Merry Christmas to you and your families! I gotta get my hands on some of that Cedar Ridge! Most memorable bottle of this year was JD 12 Batch 2. Most complex whiskey I’ve ever tried. I find something new every pour. Cheers to a prosperous 2025!
Most memorable I tried was the Westward Milestone #2 and the Woodinville 8 year limited release. Both were awesome!! Merry Christmas to you guys and your families!❄️🎄❄️🎄❄️🎄
Watching this while eating my breakfast on Christmas day. Going to the in-laws in a couple hours for the actual celebrating, so I'm not getting in trouble here. My most memorable whiskey this year was my first bottle of Blanton's I got at Total Wine's big event two weeks ago. Hoping to get my first Stagg at Spec's this weekend. Merry Christmas!
Merry Xmas, it's 16:30 here in the UK. My wife and daughter just gone to bring the horses in while my son and I tidy up after dinner - the perfect opportunity to listen to your latest video 🎉
I loudly clapped when Kurt said to put your hands together for the jimmy Russell anniversary bottle. I love that thing so much, I’m gonna savor it for so long.
Traveling to Chicago for the holiday and was happy to see Bee Liquor's was on the way so I had to stop. Obviously great selection, so I was having trouble deciding what to get. Then I saw a barrel with several bottles on it and a paper in the middle that read, "SLB DRINKS CHARITY PICK." So naturally I had to snag that one. While nerding and fan-boying out in the car trying to explain to my wife why I was so happy, I then realized the pick was actually made by a different youtube channel. The paper must've been there by mistake. Hopefully it's good! Either way, it was a treat to see your local store and I even got to see Harry. Thanks for all you do. You've been instrumental in my journey and I plan to make stopping at Harry's an annual tradition. Merry Christmas!
I haven't seen a lot of Cedar Ridge but when I saw their entry level on a shelf, I picked it up because of you all. Yes, very nice pour. I like it warm my palate.

I just bought a bottle of the Cedar Ridge today! So looking forward to trying it after your review. Also shout out to fellow Hoosiers! I’m a little further south than you. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Merry Christmas!! My personal favorite is Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Traveller Edition. Being in the Detroit area, I am fortunately enough to pick up the Traveller Edition when I travel to/from Canada. 1 liter for about $32 USD is an absolute steal! Fantastic value! For a lower proof, Green River Wheated Bourbon has been very good!
I watched this while home(NE OH) and realized McLaughlin was 1hr away. Drove down the same day, it was a cool little distillery with a lot of products. All of their bourbons were v good. Will definitely be visiting again.
2024 was my year of buying fewer bottles. I'm working to reduce my bottle count and it's been a good development this year. But I still get FOMO for all the new bottles you try. Wishing the whole SLB Family a happy holiday season, whatever you celebrate.
Merry Christmas folks! I caught this 2 hours after it was dropped. Cup of coffee and some slb first thing in the morning, great way to start a day! I'm a huge fan of Cedar Ridge, it comes from the only state that prefers it's own product over Kentucky bourbon.
Actually started watching this while in the shower, I actually always have a video going while showering. I was able to get a Russell's 70th a few weeks ago.
Merry Christmas! So glad to see Cedar Ridge in the lineup - I have the single malt and the barrel proof bourbon and they are superb. They hit way above their weight class.
Merry Christmas, in the evening Christmas Day. Thanks for all you guys do. You have saved me lots of money over the year on what not to buy! I really trust your pallets! Cheers guys!
Merry Christmas! I am watching this in the evening on Christmas day. I watched no whiskey tubers all day - spent time with my family and hoped you did the same! I am 100% with you on the Jim Beam 7-year [$22/($36 for the 1.75L) in San Antonio]! Comparing Little Book Chapter 8 to Chapter 7, the 8 is much better! Wild Turkey 70-year Anniversary 8-year is absolutely worth $50. I squirreled one away, went to get another; and they were all gone!
I have the Double Barrel Bourbon from Cedar Ridge you guys picked, but I’ve never checked their website. Those prices are great! Most bottles are under $50
Merry Christmas 🎄 watching you guys first thing! My most memorable whisky is a tie because I was fortunate enough to try Benromach 40 year old scotch and Laphroaig 25 and Lagavulin 26.
The WT 70th Anniversary bottle was one of the best bottles I've had this year. The JB Aged 7 years Black was also memorable, really enjoyed it, a great value bourbon. Another memorable bottle for me (and I'm not a scotch guy but just rolled the dice on this when I saw it on a "whiskies to own" list) was Glendronach Revival 15 yr scotch; very fig like with a note of chocolate covered oranges.
Yep! Watching you both while waiting for the family to wake up!! Merry Christmas gents!! Most memorable for me this year would have to be an Old Ezra 7 year rye pick. I'm not a rye person but this bottle is phenomenal!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Love your videos and thank you for covering Cedar Ridge Distillery. It is only a few miles away from me and is agreat asset to Iowa.
It is so much fun seeing Cedar Ridge getting discovered. I discovered that place a couple years ago because it was a good spot to stop for lunch running my son out to Iowa State. It was always way better than the price point.
I love everything Cedar Ridge Recently. When they were quite a bit younger I had some nasty single barrels that were deviously corn forward but none of that has popped back up in the last year or so lol.
Just got some of that Beam 7 Black. Nice bottle, great price! Gonna Have to go after some Cedar Ridge soon. Not sure if I can find or afford the others, but they all look awesome. After visiting my brother-in-law in Houston, I took a shine to Still Austin products. Quite nice! Just picked up a 3 bottle sampler yesterday. Will be getting into that soon.
Merry Christmas!!! Yep first thing I watched and yes on the crapper!! Had a cigar and lil bit of wild turkey last night after a long shift. Plan to do the same today.
Actually not till noon after I got the ham going, my mom's bread recipe rising, the turkey spatchcocked and covered in my herb butter and ready to go in the oven. NOW it is time for a little break and an SLB Christmas Day video.
I haven't got to try too much that was crazy this year but I did get my hands on the WT70th and it's a very nice tribute and represents WT very well. I did finally get to try pours of JD12 and RR13 and of course those are the best things I've had all year. The most notable though might be the Knob Creek BouXrye because while it's BP rye and bourbon and definitely didn't blow any reviewers away but the flavor profile is exactly what I love about a pour of whiskey. $50 and on the shelf to boot.
🎄 Merry Christmas! What’s the most memorable whiskey you tried this year? Let us know below!
Russells 15 - no question
Bulleit barrel proof barrel pick from the Liquor Library in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Unbelievable flavor from a Bulleit that lasts forever!
Merry Christmas🎄Weller Antique 107 was the “cherry” on top this year.
Jacobs Pardon 18 year🎉❤
Your SLB Rabbit Hole Derenger pick was in my top 5 of the year. Flavor Bomb! 💣

I enjoy these videos even though I can’t buy the top shelf ones. I still like learning about them.
We all have our limits, don't worry.
Merry Christmas, you guys just made my day ...... I'll be retiring from the fire department Nov 2025; we just bought a home in northeast Missouri and I just found out that Cedar Ridge is only a 2 hour drive from our new home; can't wait to visit them.

Wild Turkey 70th Anniversary is the best bottle I’ve had all year. Especially after being open for a week.
Lucky enough to live within 10 minutes of Cedar Ridge 👌🏻 they’re definitely doing incredible stuff. If you ever get the chance to try their Lost Pirate 8-year rum, it’s absolutely one of the best rums I’ve ever had 🏴☠️
I got a cedar ridge barrel proof for $39 and love it
Merry Christmas, watching while doing the dishes from last night so that my wife can’t be upset about it. Cheers and I hope everyone has a good holiday with family and friends!
Very smart! 😂
Porcelain throne was way earlier. But it is Christmas morning so that is checked. Merry Christmas enjoying the show just like always.
Have only had the barrel proof and single malt from cedar ridge, but love them. I brought a bottle of the barrel proof to my aunts for Christmas dinner to share with my cousins. It was a big hit. Impossible to beat for the price

Merry Christmas! So glad to see Cedar Ridge in the lineup - I have the single malt and the barrel proof bourbon and they are superb. They hit way above their weight class.

Actually not till noon after I got the ham going, my mom's bread recipe rising, the turkey spatchcocked and covered in my herb butter and ready to go in the oven. NOW it is time for a little break and an SLB Christmas Day video.
Merry Christmas!🎄🥃
I haven't got to try too much that was crazy this year but I did get my hands on the WT70th and it's a very nice tribute and represents WT very well. I did finally get to try pours of JD12 and RR13 and of course those are the best things I've had all year. The most notable though might be the Knob Creek BouXrye because while it's BP rye and bourbon and definitely didn't blow any reviewers away but the flavor profile is exactly what I love about a pour of whiskey. $50 and on the shelf to boot.
Merry Christmas. Yes I started this video on the toilet!
Merry Christmas and thank you for the great videos.
Watching I'm my Living room. Happy New Year
