I am considering a 447 on my ultracruiser. Would you think that the prop would provide enough airflow for cooling? Would I need to turn the ducting around to capture some air from the prop and feed it through the heads?
It absolutely would. Rotax used to make a shroud just for that. Google rotax 447 free air cooling and you will find some pics. It would need some kind of ducting to force the air across the heads in the direction of the fins. I actually like the fan setup though because it varies the cooling air with engine RPM.
Just subscribed to your channel and watched your Ultracruiser videos. It's a bit rough. Did Dennis suggest you buy it? If you turn on comments for your videos I will try to help out.
@@96vmax4 I just wondered since Dennis has helped several other people find used Hummels. Did it come with plans? If not you might want to pick up a set since a lot of the stuff I saw in your videos wasn't build to plans. That doesn't mean it won't work but since it's an airplane it could also be fatal.
If you still have it, how do we get a hold of you?
I do still have it. Click on the about information on my channel and you can get my email address.
Is it still for sale?
Yeah, I've still got it.
Do you still have it?
Yes I do.
Do you still have the 477
Yes I do.

Let me know when you want to pick it up.
I have the same exact motor but it was for a snowmobile. How is the wiring hooked up to it? I'm trying to get spark
@@dylancoleman1547 Here is the wiring diagram I used. www.ultralightnews.ca/447parts/7.html
You said you would make a good deal. How much.?
