I 100% agree. Though I do understand how some people feel like it’s not their business and are hesitant to ask, but for my specific condition I would honestly rather people politely ask. In the past, I’ve actually had people falsely assume I was nervous and that’s why I was shaking, that I was lying and hiding something and that’s why I was shaking, that I was a drug addict and that’s why I was shaking, etc. etc. All of which simply could’ve been cleared up by asking me “Hey, I noticed you’re shaking are you okay?”
I couldn't remember why you shake but I'm happy you resaid! I am happy it doesn't sound like an injury or pinched nerve or anything painful and it's "just" misfiring nerves. I've always respected that you do UA-cam despite the shakes. So many people focus on being steady and worrying about getting things to focus etc and you've totally made that all work without ever making me dizzy. While your health is a billion percent your business I appreciate that you speak on this once in awhile because it tells others that we can do it and make it work too if we want! 💞
Thanks! When I started UA-cam I made a mental note to periodically mention it so new subscribers would know what’s up but it wasn’t until I read that comment I mentioned in the video that I realized how long it had been since I addressed it.
I actually had an idea for a costume about an hour ago… But I’m still searching around to figure out if I can piece it all together in time… So stay tuned…
Thank you! I’ve discovered not a lot of people are familiar with essential and/or familial tremors and because of that they make false assumptions about why people with tremors are shaking, which annoys me. So hopefully by talking about it on here more people will learn about it and not automatically make incorrect assumptions when they meet people who are shaky.
I was totally going to do that but I found out a friend was already going as poison ivy with her new boyfriend going as Batman, and without spilling her personal business, let’s just say this is a ‘redo’ of a Halloween years ago and something I think she needs as a healing thing, so she gets to be poison ivy this year.
If I was going to use a shoe, I would have to be throwing it at it from across the room ‘cause I don’t want to get that close to it and I’m not certain my aim is that great 🤪
Can you continue to grow philodendrons in stagnum Moss? Forgive me, completely new to philodendrons lol. I'm just trying to figure out the similarities and differences between them and my orchids before I go buying a whole ton. Thank you so much for all of the information that you give!! ❤️🙏
Theoretically, yes, however sphagnum moss can be a bit trickier to grow plants in on a long term basis than other substrates. If you already have a lot of experience growing plants in moss long term then you should be fine. If not, I’d recommend using a good epiphyte mix instead.
@@AlohaPlantLife thank you! That's a huge help! I like to fully understand my plants before I purchase them. I know how spagnum can be quite the killer when used improperly. Even with a humidifier, I can only keep it around 30% humidity in here in the winter. So sphagnum has become my friend lol. Thank you again for all the information! You're so awesome! ❤️🙏😊
I wouldn’t recommend it. A lot of people use it for propagation because it stays moist longer and you need constant moisture to develop roots. But once a plant is fully developed and doesn’t need constant moisture it can cause problems especially if it’s a plant that doesn’t like to be kept moist.
Root rot. The moss will stay wetter longer than the soil so when you think the soil is dry, and you water it, the moss is actually still wet so inevitably it leads to overwatering the plant and root rot.
Love these two plants! Thank you for sharing the potting of these plants. Love growing plants from corms, it’s like finding buried treasure! 👌🪴🥰
That’s an excellent way to describe it!
Thank you for sharing you health with us. I think it's a beautiful thing when strangers care enough to ask.

@@AlohaPlantLife I automatically jump to Parkinson.
@@leahnelson771 Yup, I’m starting to get that from people too, now that I’m in the age range in which it typically gets diagnosed

Costume idea - Queen of hearts.

My bambino corms are about the same size. So proud. Love your costumes. Yes, I find damp spagnum easier to remove.
Thank you!
Cool little poll. 👍
Very glad you shared as my family has "familial tremors" with similar stressors, but diff cause in body. Love your cool videos and openness!

Sorry about your tremors, must be a challenge. I really appreciate your planty guidance!
Thank you!
How about going as Poison Ivy for Halloween? I just love her

Loved the costumes
Thank you for sharing about your shakes.
Thank you for tutorial
Use a shoe to kill roaches.

Okay, some more suggestions. Mystique from X-Men, Catwoman or Ariel from the Little Mermaid?

Do you think it's okay to just grow a plants in moss permanently? Your costume was effing awesome, I agree with the above comment of Poison Ivy.
I wouldn’t recommend it. A lot of people use it for propagation because it stays moist longer and you need constant moisture to develop roots. But once a plant is fully developed and doesn’t need constant moisture it can cause problems especially if it’s a plant that doesn’t like to be kept moist.
What is the downside of leaving the spagnum moss on the plant when potting into soil? What happens? Thanks so much.

How about Bride of Frankenstein?
