    I'm in awe of your journal! You've got a lot more info in yours than I do. I do have a suggestion for a pared-down version that some folks might like. I print a monthly calendar on an 81/2 x 11 sheet. The calendar takes up a little less than 3/4 of the page. It's all numbered, has Canadian holidays etc. The squares are large enough to make notes of whatever is important for me. I put appointments in there, birthdays, anniversaries, bill amounts, due dates, blood pressure readings, pain levels and so on. On the bottom 1/4 I record the date, amount, and payment reference number when I pay bills along with other info that I should comment on. I keep them clipped together so I can easily look back or enter appointments that are 2 months or more down the road. If I need more room I use the back of my page. If I were to use a bound journal I would turn it to use it on a landscape page. The first page would be the calendar and the second page would be for any other entries that I want to record. That would leave the next two pages for any other info you want to record. The next calendar page would be page 5 and so on. I don't think my layouts would have enough room for all you are recording but it does work for me. The older I get it seems I remember less and less and I can see on 1 page the info I need to remember. A bonus for me is that when it's income tax time I've got all my medical and related travel on my calendar. Anyway.... just my system. Keep on with the great videos.

    What brings me joy? Finding a PB with J on my UA-cam list to watch at night!!! Jeremy, I got hooked on bullet journaling at the end of 2019. I am an artist and dreamed of all the ways to incorporate that into my spreads. 2020 became the year that nobody needed a calendar. I kept it up for a while anyway because it was fun to highlight a famous artist each month and keep track of recipes I was trying out. As a retired art teacher, there was nothing more exciting than a brand new planner. I loved the premise and the design opportunities. BUT… following some of the bujo people online was crazy. People were tracking dopey things like how many times a week they did the dishes. Huh? When there are dishes in the sink, either wash them, or invite Willie (Woolie?) over to wash them! A silly thing to track. I gave up sometime around June of that scary year, but man, was that a beautiful book! Maybe you’ve convinced me to make a go of it again. Thanks, Jeremy!

    This is absolutely fascinating and thank you for explaining it to us. I still am confused about the set-up in terms of the number of pages you leave for index and other things. Also, wehre do you journal and set intentions ? I am a bit confused. There is nothing I hate more than running out of space in my notebooks and having to continue a section separated from the rest, if this makes sense. I have a notebook of tod-do lists that I write every day, in pencil (!) but rI really like the collections pages that you have. I guess I have to try it first before committing to a brand new system.

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  3 місяці тому +3

      You don't have to worry about "leaving space" - you just use the Index to write down the page number where you did something. So if you write about a project on Page 14, you'd write down the name of that project in the index and leave a line or two below it if oyu think you'll be writing about it a lot - and then you'd write in 14 for page 14. Say you write about it again on page 38, then you'd write 38 in the index. You can journal an set intentions anywhere you want. You make it your own. Just use the index to be able to help you find stuff later.
      Does that make sense?

    I love this and would love even more in depth. Some of the things in this are aspects that I really like about the planner that I buy, like the forward/check symbols for signifying completion or moving to the next day. I am fascinated by the idea of making one, but it seems a bit overwhelming and like I would not leave enough space for things. 😬😆
    Thank you for this!

    • @pbwithjeremy
      @pbwithjeremy  3 місяці тому +1

      The beauty is, you don’t have to leave space for things because you can use the index to let you know where those things are. You can put things on any page you want and you don’t have to have things be continuous. Just use the index to organize it.

    I have carried a notebook around with me for as long as I can remember and with kind of a similar principle-I make a list everyday and cross things off as they get done (so satisfying!! ) and carry over anything that wasn’t done. I also make lists of recipes I want to make, movies and shows and books I’m interested in, etc. I’ve never heard of bullet journaling until watching your video, but I think I’m going to try it! 🤓 My notebooks are so messy and this is much nicer-I’ll have to try to be tidier. 😅

    Nicely done. I got caught up in the TUL and Happy Planners. I am not sure I like the rings especially as the planner gets fuller. I have been toying with using the bullet system. It seems the best thing about the system for starters would be the ability to lay out your own style and color and coordinate it with your own real life. With many of the preplanned pages I have gathered, I find I waste a lot of the pages - either the whole page or just only use part of it. Thank you for the encouragement and motivation. I found a lot of stress releasing facts in your video. Great job!
