Its funny. I remember seeing a picture of your F20 and another modern BMW, both sides of the original 3 series. The 3 series looked so small!!! Thank you Matthew.
It’s very random - same story with Golf, 911 and many others yet Dorothy is only slightly smaller than the later e class models, cool vid, gotta love a Bavarian
Excellent video, Matt. It’s interesting to look back at the cars we considered fairly large in the past. Many such cars now look small compared to their modern counterparts. I suspect part of that is the bulbous ‘sports-utility’ styling that is popular at the moment. Best wishes.
Thanks for the view and comment :) It is crazy isn’t it. Did you ever see the post where someone made drew designs of how cars would have looked years ago? Like a very old styled BMW i8 from the 60s plugging into a plug socket lol
I didn't see those pictures but they sound interesting. However, I recently saw a shot of a Ford Sierra which, as you know, was considered fairly large in its day. It looked tiny compared to the modern cars around it. Times change! Best wishes.
Informative video as usual from Matt, good work. BMW F20/F21 is a very good and beautiful car. Just a suggestion in case possible, can you show how to replace the headliner? Thank you.
Hey, TT. Happy Christmas. Thank you for your kind comment and suggestion. That’s a really good idea. At the moment I can’t do much to my f20, but I really hope I can upgrade my F20 by retro fitting extras etc. fingers crossed I can do more in 2022 :) I don’t know if this works in your country, but it’s very useful. Mostly as I would have expected. I thought it would be similar length and slightly wider and heavier than an E30. Perhaps a little surprised how it measures up in width and wheelbase compared to some of the older large BMW models though.

Thank you Matilda. I remember that photo. That e21 looked so small. :D

Thank you for inspiring me to make this video. It’s hard to believe our cars are about the same weight .
