I love how intense and powerful the theme feels, and the thought that Giacomo made the song for "the Big Boss of Team Star" having no idea that Penny was an Pure Eevee devotee.
I like to think the making of this theme went one of two ways: 1- Giacomo had this prepared long in advance for the day they all might meet the big boss in person. 2- Giacomo fried both his brain and laptop making this in the span of like an hour after you beat Eri and Clavell told them about the battle that’d be happening later that day.
Pretty sure it should be Option 2 the one more likely to happen, especially since the theme seems to just switch tones at random like it was straight up made on the spot.
I like to imagine Giacomo being like "You said she's from Galar? Hold on let me compose fire for big boss" before implementing the Galar Gym Leader motif

I love the idea of Penny blasting her battle theme in her headphones as she's studying for exams. The fact Giacomo created this theme without knowing the actual boss and unironically giving the quiet kid the HARDEST theme...chef's kiss well played. Kudos to Giacomo for creating this masterpiece. Giacomo hit it out of the park for the Team Star music in general. Kudos to Clive as well for being a wonderful mediator. I need to know where he goes to style his hair 😉 A detail I noticed they did with Team Star is that all the squad leaders use different Poké Balls that match their personality! Giacomo uses Timer Balls because he's a DJ and it's all about timing, Ortega uses Luxury Balls because of his rich background, Atticus uses Repeat Balls because he's just stuck in the past, Mela uses Quick Balls because of how short-tempered she is, and Eri uses Heal Balls because she cares a lot about protection.
What I think is since Giacomo made the battle themes for Team Star, he most likely made this song what he imagined was cool and badass, fitting for the Big Boss of Team Star, having no idea of course that they were a Team Eevee devotee.
She even has hair that’s the colors usually associated with the Dragon type, the only type that was special-exclusive before Gen 5 that doesn’t have an Eeveelution
It just makes no sense that the Pokemon who was specifically designed to be the representative of a variety of branching evolutions hasn't had a new evolution in nearly ten years. And before that has only had four others. I'm really surprised there isn't an Eeveelution for every type by now.
I never thought I'd see a Hardstyle battle theme in Pokémon. I actually *really* love how experimental Game Freak's been trying to be with their music lately. I mean, it was only January this year that we got our first Eurobeat song in Pokémon, in the form of the Origin Dialga/Palkia battle theme.
I seriously did not expect Game Freak to go so frickin' hard on the Scarlet/Violet OST. This and the Treasures of Ruin battle theme legit had me dancing as I was battling.
This, the ruinous Pokémon, and the professor battle are like my three new favorite battle themes Tbh I haven’t liked a theme this much since Zinnia’s, this shit slaps

One can't deny that his music is great, but stop acting like he carried this project and give other composers the proper recognition.
3:05 was definitely the highlight part for me, the drums really just synced so well with it that I seriously had to rewind just to hear it again. This theme is great fs, glad to see- err, HEAR- the drums only make it better!
I agree. The games are embarrassingly broken on a technical level, but I honestly can't think of a Pokemon game that has this many bangers in it. Penny's theme in particular might be the best battle theme in the series even. What comes close? Zinnia? Lance/Red from GSC maybe?
Honestly, penny might be my favourite character in Pokémon, her design was created well, I don’t even need to talk about her theme and also, the eevee archetype is my favourite. And she reps Sylveon, Sylveon is my damn favourite Pokémon. Edit: also, her hacker persona is Cassiopeia which sounds so much like the band casiopea, an incredible Japanese 80s jazz band. Edit V2: just learned Cassiopeia is the mother of andromeda in Greek mythology and is also the name of a constellation. Albeit, she was sent to the stars as a punishment.
Fun fact Cassiopeia is also the name of a constelation and the team star bases are actually shaped in it! Their names also resemble the names of the stars present in it!
I'm just happy Scarlet and Violet has compelling characters and a good story. I seriously hated how bad the story and characters were rushed in Sword and Shield.
So of course this randomly popped up on my recommended because I've listened to her theme so many times, but the pure energy this guy emits while drumming along is something I hope the original composer had while making it

Which is a shame tbh, I woulda loved a Dragon Eevee to go with the new Fairy type. Would also have mirrored gen 2, where Dark (and Steel) was introduced to help combat Psychic being so OP, and we got both a Psychic and Dark type eeveelution.

Fire (Flareon), Water (Vaporeon), Grass (Leafeon), Electric (Jolteon), Psychic (Espeon), Ice (Glaceon), Dragon, Dark (Umbreon), Fairy (Sylveon). But yes, they could've done a dragon Eeveelution this gen, easy, and it still would've represented all of Team Star. Umbreon, Flareon, and Sylveon are obvs (Giacomo, Mela, and Ortega), Leafeon could be Allister since some plants are pretty poisonous, Penny could've represented the brand new Dragon Eeveelution (maybe called, I don't know, Scaleon. The song is oddly appropriate all things considered. Penny is the highest leveled Team Star member but Team Star itself is really just down to her. She's burning as bright as she can before the team dissappears completely...Like a shooting star lighting up the night (right before the player sweeps her entire team)

@@Jack-The-Gamer-Eevee is Normal type, and since they released Fairy _after_ the physical-special split, the convention was already broken by Sylveon, even if you disregard the base stage already not being able to properly use that Special stat. But alas, the time of Eievui ascending further seems to be over.

I swear this sounds way better and more hype with the added drums. Often the drums will overtake a track and you watch it to be amazed, but you'd keep the original on your daily listening playlist. I'd legit listen to this over the original any day.

I know what would be the best eeveelution penny could have gotten if they added a new eeveelution Fighting type And the Eeveelution is named Resolveon The Determination Pokémon After the word Resolve, which means "The Firm Determination to do something" After all, it was Penny and her friends' resolve that allowed them to fight back against their bullies so it onlt seems fitting for penny to have an eevee with the determination to do the same Its signature move is called Resolute Bash. If Resolveon is below 1/3 of its hp, this move will always go first

I love Penny's Battle Theme. It's so good. It's just awesome. It's right up there with the Gigamax Battle Music in how much it slaps.

I was so surprised when I first heard this song I purposely delayed the battle to keep listening to it... didnt think this kind of music could be in a pokemon game you really add to the song with the drums though its so awesome
I hope you do one for Arven & Nemona’s themes because they’re some of my favourites! I like how this theme has some team star in there cuz it makes perfect sense, but I prefer the other 2

Penny is 100% getting the new dragon eeveelution in the DLC. It's the only type left, and she even gives you draco meteor after her fight.

But alas, the time of Eievui ascending further seems to be over.

I don't cry often... and usually it is a beautiful piece of music that causes it. This theme hits me hard, and your drums are AMAZING!
I swear this sounds way better and more hype with the added drums. Often the drums will overtake a track and you watch it to be amazed, but you'd keep the original on your daily listening playlist. I'd legit listen to this over the original any day.
