I hope we get enough seasons of the Bad Batch to see their fates through the original saga. Time jumps would be cool just so we can see how their stories end (hopefully peacefully).
Hopefully we'll get more than a season of fetch quests. I know they laid out a lot of connections and material from those quests to establish that they were going to choose a side, but there was a lot of content that just felt like filler in season 1. But this looks like it will be constant on the move action and drama as befitting high profile fugitives in the 2nd stage of the forming Rebellion. And what I'm looking forward to most is depicting how the various clones we knew and loved responded to the Empire.
Yeah that's one thing that I'm less sure about with Season 2, I personally really enjoyed that there were a lot of episodes that were disconnected from an overall storyline and that a lot of them just felt like unrelated side adventures, but this season almost seems like it's going to lean on a narrative much more than before, I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, just a little bit different than last season, either way I'm so excited for this!

So exited for this! The animation already looked amazing in S1 but they somehow improved it even more! Cody, Palpatine and most importanly hyped to see the Bad Batch again! And like everyone already said, the scale of this!
What I like most about this show is that it it shows the process of the empire being built up. Before The Bad Batch, it was the very beggining of the empire to when it had already fully developed (all major technology invented, new armor, etc) but The Bad Batch shows the troopers before Storm Troopers, before the AT-AT walkers, etc.
I hope and pray that Cody and the majority of the clones remain loyal to the Empire! It makes it more tragic that way and fits in with the idea that this period is the dark times! I also really want to see Separatists holdouts!
@@isaacrebellion9893 Cody should stay loyal to Empire because there has been too many stories already about people deserting the Empire. It also makes for more interesting storytelling by having people on the Empire's side who genuinely believe they are doing the right thing. It also makes things more realistic because most people would not rebel against a dictatorship, especially if that dictatorship appeared to come to power by the will of the People, like how the Empire did. @@omnirox-re3wo I'd much rather watch this show instead of the prequels.

“Parents the bad batch”
Disney, the kids you think are watching this are 25 and live for the clone wars
This is deffo something to look forward to in the new year. It's cool to see the group return with updated armour and I'm excited to see the return of Cody as we've all been wondering what happened to him since the end of the Clone Wars! And it's also cool to see Rex again too. I feel this season we'll see more of Echo and Tech as I feel Echo had less character development in the first season and it looks like Tech will have more to do this season, which I hope for; he's also my favourite member. Plus, I still have high hopes for Crosshair!
Animation looks insane. This style keeps getting better and better each year. Just goes to show how good the original art design was back in 2008, just had to wait for the lighting and computing power to catch up!
And updated character models! But I highly agree with ya
There made to look like stringed puppets, though they toned it back since 08
@@terrencebarnes7448 wait is that really why they looked wooden in season 1? Like a creative choice? Or is that just a common complaint of the animation?
Dave Filoni should reboot clone wars seasons 1-4 to have modern graphic animations
Just exactly how I feel about AOTC
Cody being back is amazing, I hope he stays loyal to the empire he makes for a really interesting villain. Especially with his history with Rex.
I hope we have an episode where we see Cody's POV. In his mind, Rex committed treason.
Sounds like he may become good tbh
@@christien6230 he already is good
From the looks of it, he is having doubts
Considering he's not in rebels... I'm not picturing a good ending but just happy to see more of him!

HONK
I really hope we get an interaction between Omega and Boba Fett
Now this is where the fun begins.
Hell yeah
Definitely!
The fight is done. We lost.
I know Cody literally shot me with a cannon but I don't want him to die in this series. I like him too much.

I'm so excited to see Cody again and have him finally get some major screen time, I just hope it's handled well!
you say finally like he hasn't had the most screentime of any clone in star wars lol
@@cosmicdisaster02 he did until Rex was created as a character so Cody is the 2nd most seen clone but if Rex didn’t exist then Cody would’ve had the most screen time overall throughout all of Star Wars media.
@@cosmicdisaster02 I mean actual development, not just him standing next to people and occupying a conversation with "more important" characters. Yeah, I get that he's technically had the 2nd most screen time of any clone but that doesn't rlly mean anything when there's other clones like rex or fives who actually got to have jucier stories even if they were small. I just wanna see some Cody depth dude 😫
Man, I feel Cody have different voice, I think his voice was played by Bret Iwan.
@@cosmicdisaster02 Have u ever heard about a clone named Rex? Also probably Fives has more screentime than Cody in Clone Wars.
I never thought there would be a day when i would say Wanda Sykes is in Star Wars.
I’m all for it!
I love this trailer and hope the season is great
Thought that was her! So good.
I knew I recognised that voice!
I love her she’s so funny
No lie, that caught me off guard but I like that she's here. I bet her character will make good company for the Bad Batch.
Wanda Sykes... Why does that name sound so familiar?
Lol the bad batch is chillin at dookus crib at 1:42
This seems like a full on season of clone wars with multi-episode arcs, cameos, returning characters, and so much to be excited for. This is gonna be epic!!
Yup they confirmed there will be less of omega and more of the bad batch just like the show was planned respect for filoni not following disneys woke agenda.
Maul tbf, I like omega. She has potential, but I just want more complicated arcs. Seems we're getting that c:
@@maul8384 bro saw one female character and decided they must be woke💀
Well I agree the think the first season just focused more on establishing the characters especially on Hunter and Omega’s characters. Now that their established the writers can play around with them a bit more, now that people have had a whole season to get to know the bad batch better
@@itsyouruber5080 ikr, episodes felt more "child-like" which is understandable. Clone wars spoiled us lol
So excited for Gungi!!
I think Gungi Gonna Gongi

"ah yes i also love Glup Shitto" 🤣
Tech will translate Gungi and learn how he survived Order 66 hope they show a flashback when he sees Clones turn against his Master or him in the Jedi temple watching Anakin slaughter his clan
Looks like we're headed back to Dooku's Palace on Serenno!👀 (1:44)
So it would seem.
This is only the beginning
All I could see when they said 'peace was never an option' was the goose with a knife meme
In the words of Count Dooku: "I've been looking forward to this!"
Speaking of Dooku, if you pause at 1:44, that looks suspiciously like the window in Dooku’s palace on Serenno from Clone Wars 🧐

Soooo excited. Between this and Tales of the Jedi, im stoked to see more Clone Wars style animation content. Great work animators.
0:56 Commander freakin Cody, it’s so cool to see him again
Aye “Peace, peace was never an option”
So hyped for this season of The Bad Batch! Gungi and Cody enter the fight. Anyone else notice they said Parents The Bad Batch at the end? 🤣
Yeah, that was a bit odd. Played it back several times to make sure I heard that right.
@Seth Baldridge It's only in the trailer on UA-cam. I checked Twitter and it's not in the trailer they posted there.
I’m so happy that Cody is back!! This season looks incredible just like the first one! Disney going at it!! ❤
I hope we get enough seasons of the Bad Batch to see their fates through the original saga. Time jumps would be cool just so we can see how their stories end (hopefully peacefully).
Already with plan 99 I suspected that he was referring to the moment where 99 sacrificed himself for his clone brothers... We will miss you Tech... 😭
Looks like fetch quests will still be woven in, but to a lesser degree than Season 1. I think they're going for a more linear narrative now.
Remember this is a kids show too. We should be grateful it is as good as it is with Disney behind it. 🤣
@@nicohop66 A show that kids can watch alongside their parents isn't the same as "a kids show". I feel like the kids are just getting the spectacle of it, but aren't likely getting some of the heavier themes surrounding war and politics.
Really curious to see if Rex and Cody interact at all in this series, it’s got a vibe of Anakin and Obi-Wan and I’d love to see it expanded upon.
1:16 I have a bad feeling the Wookie Jedi ain't gonna make it
Ngl, “Peace was never an option.” Line was pretty cold.
I'm all in for more clone wars style animation. Looks great
So am I. I think the animation just gets better and better as they seem to be putting tons more effort in animating all the environments we saw in this trailer
Truth!!! The animation had gotten better too.
*Season one was an absolute blast to watch every week last summer. Can't wait to watch season two soon.*
I can't be the only one who'd genuinely love to see a happy ending for Cody. so many people here seem to want him to die fighting Rex or remain in servitude to the empire, but I think either option would break my heart. I think instead it'd be super moving to see him come to realise the extent of his actions under the empire and his role in exiling the general he was once loyal to (all that is to say -- I love Cody to bits and I need them to give my guy a break 😫💔)
You are not alone, I love him, whatever he is, and I really want a happy ending for him, I really hope that he survives, this is my hope😭💔
@@foxxyangell I'm glad I'm not the only one hoping for this 💓🥹
I think if Cody does die, he will die doing the right thing.
What if Cody starts the clone uprising/rebellion... THAT would be something that blows my mind for sure
@@bloodknight2132 I would LOVE to see him helping the other clones "questioning the Order" get out from under the rebellion. that would be incredibly intense & a gratifying use of his position in the story at the moment for SURE
Hope to see Rex and Cody interact. And looking forward to Gungi.
I'm definitely looking to see what's in store for Season Two
…which will leading up to Jedi Survivor video game.
Gungi always stuck with me even though he was only in like a few episodes. always made headcannon theories that he survived order 66 because we never saw what happened to him. To have that realised in this season is like a dream come true
*So happy that our boy Echo is still going strong. He's been with us since Rookies, all those years ago*
Did anyone else hear the end “parents, the bad batch”
Cody : What makes clone different from droid is choice
Cody: blast him
YES!!!! I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS SERIES TO RETU-
Parents: The Bad Batch?
You all heard that too, right?
@StarWars what's up?
Yeah, that's very weird.
Noticed it too. So parents don’t think it’s just a kids cartoon?
Parents, you mean Star Wars?
I hope and pray that Cody and the majority of the clones remain loyal to the Empire! It makes it more tragic that way and fits in with the idea that this period is the dark times! I also really want to see Separatists holdouts!
1:43 seems they will go to dooku's hq on serenno, so that's probably a good shout for the separatists
Been wanting a Cody/Rex confrontation for years, might get one yet
I hope and pray that Cody betrayed the empire, beside, there Bunnix will be in The bad batch season 2.
Also it continues on the themes of Revenge of the Sith, in showing that this era belongs to Sidious. So I am still hoping and praying that Cody remains loyal to the Empire, but also doesn't die.
@@macwade2755 or maybe it probably Switches by Slick because he have his face copy to Cody's scar, That Grey armor Cody is Not Cody, It's Slick. I think Bad Batch is criminally underrated. Can’t wait for the next season.
0:43 empire be releasing arceus 💀
That "parents" at the end made me laugh. It's either them recognizing that the ones who are interested in this are the parents, or it's funny because they think kids are the ones who are really into this lol

Jedis, clones, empire, new stories... the second season comes with everything!

I hope Kanan will be in this series because we want to see how he finds out about the chips in the clones's heads.
I dont think he ever did til rebels, he really really hated rex when they met
Not every single piece of information needs to be relayed to every single character on screen
The comic tells us that… only the order 66 but got retconned.
@@cyanimation1605 I have to disagree. Modern day Star Wars fans are dumb every little bit of information has to be on screen or in a book otherwise they get confused.
Personally I don’t, It’s heavily implied Kanan had no idea about the chips till he met Rex

The Nulls would wipe the galaxy with the bad batch. Not even a comparison. But seeing as this is the closest we will ever get to seeing the nulls on screen it's kinda cool. Edit: having said that the nulls and the Bad Batch are closer to being true Mandalorians than Din Djarin will ever be.
@@cameronzwicke5761 Clearly, the Bad Batch is no match for the Nulls (but honestly who is ? Lol) But yeah the closer we get to their arc the better.
It’s normal that Din Djarin is nothing like the Nulls since he was not educate the same, by mandalorians with a different point of vue of being a « true » mandalorian. Furthermore we can’t compare the legends to the canon, especially the Mandalorians since they got a whole different dimension with The Clone Wars
I KNEW they’d have Cody eventually. I am also sure that either this season or the next will have Rex and Cody meet again. Maybe show Wolf and Gregor too either being helped by Rex, or it happening off screen and them showing up.
