Water baptism was fulfilled by Yahshua and now we are to be immersed in the name of the father the son and Holy Spirit which are Yahweh Elohim and Yahshua and yes I’m sure many continued to perform water baptism after the ascension of Yahshua through not understanding his mission to fulfill the 613 laws statutes and ordinances 😊❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

@Johhny-gg4hu, you said, "Water baptism was fulfilled by Jesus." How about a BCV.
Jesus said he came to fulfill (Mt.5:17).
Speaking to his apostles said "These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem" (Lk.24:44-47).
Christ did his part fulfilling everything he came to do, but notice in (vs.47) the conjunction "and" "and that repentance and remission of sins shall be preached in his name among all nations beginning in Jerusalem."
This part of the prophecy (repentance and remission of sins >preached

See Vol 3 of Ante-Nicene Fathers: "Happy is our sacrament of water, in that, by washing away the sins of our early blindness, we are set free and admitted into eternal life!" This is the start of a major treatise on baptism by Tertullian.

What happened after the New Testament? The answer is that the Apostles developed the FIRST church doctrine called "THE DIDACHE."
and chapter 7 regarding baptism states this:
"Concerning baptism, baptise thus: Having first rehearsed all these things, "baptise, in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," in running water; but if thou hast no running water, baptise in other water, and if thou canst not in cold, then in warm. But if thou hast neither, pour water three times on the head "in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit." And before the baptism let the baptiser and him who is to be baptised fast, and any others who are able. And thou shalt bid him who is to be baptised to fast one or two days before.
This is the TRUE doctrine since the time of Apostles whom Jesus gave authority.

What is your interpretation of the true sabbath? From how i read the bible, the true sabbath is clearly Friday sunset, to saturday sunset, yet most follow the Roman catholic church rule of Sunday, such i believe to be completely wrong. The original christians celebrated on Friday and saturday, history books prove this.

Some people argue that because the thief on the cross was saved without baptism that means we are saved without baptism today (Luke 23:42-43).
Obviously, the thief wasn’t taken down from the cross and baptized at that moment, but how do you know he wasn’t baptized prior to his crucifixion?
Many people were baptized by John for the remission of sins (Mark 1:4-5), and Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John (John 4:1-3). This thief could have been one of them.
Also, this thief seems to have known about the identity and mission of Jesus. “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom” (Luke 23:42).
Now, I have no way of proving that he was baptized prior to this event, but no one can prove that he wasn’t. Regardless, it was after this event that Jesus took nail pierced hands and pointed them to a world of sin and said "He that believes and is baptized will be saved."
It was after the resurrection that Jesus Commanded (your words) baptism.
Now, where do you get authority to set aside His command and promise people eternity otherwise?
Revelation 22:14" Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Who has right to the tree of life? Those that do His commandments...and you have to do them and for the reason He said to do them...

      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  2 місяці тому

Pastor Lance replies - We at EW believe in an experience with the Holy Spirit subsequent to regeneration, although it doesn't necessarily have to be 'after.' It goes by different titles; baptism of the Spirit, filling of the Spirit, etc. We do NOT however, believe that it elevates someone into some kind of special class. We believe that it is normative and intended by God for empowering us to walk in the Spirit rather than the flesh. We are Continuationist rather then Cessationist. We are Charismatic in theology but not by practice in the sense that we find much of the misuse of spiritual gifts unbiblical. We believe that a genuine filling of the Spirit and use of the gifts is supernaturally-natural - just like Jesus showed.
I hope that answers your question. Obviously, much more could be said.

I'm not an enemy. I do disagree with your view of what Baptism is.
The only verse in the Bible that mentions baptism and work is Colossians 2, where it is called the mighty work of God...
Baptism is akin to dipping in the Jordan 7 times to cure leprosy, its akin to marching, shouting, and blowing on rams horns to take an alien city, it's akin to looking at a Brazen serpent to cure snake bite... it is obedient faith, brought about by grace (Tit.2:11-12).

Repentance followed by water baptism is an act of obedience essential, after faith, in order to be saved
Then we must " recieve" the Holy Spirit. The word " recieve" in the original Greek means" to take hold of" the final act of obedience essential in order for one to be saved. Salvation isn't just about having faith its about being born again, and just as physicsl birth is the end result of a process, so is spiritusl rebirth. Acts 2:38 is that process.

    • @nikeinjesus1

      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord,
Consider Nicodemus, here is a man who definitely had faith in Jesus, "we know (positively know) that you come from God, for no man can do these things you do unless God is with him." Is it safe to say you and I are in agreement in that his faith was genuine. I certainly would be convinced, yet despite his faith, he still needed to be born again.
Jesus knew Nicodemus "rejected the counsel of God not being baptized of John." John's baptism was heaven sent, and Nicodemus was rejecting salvation.
But for those who submitted to John's baptism, Jesus promised would "go" into the kingdom of God. "The harlots and tax collectors go into the kingdom of God before you" (Mt.21:31).
Then Jesus explains why, "for they believed John" (vs.32). Faith and obedience are conjoined in scripture (Jn.3:36 NASB).
Believing John's message, they submitted to being baptized, and declared God just for sending John.
Both John and Jesus were baptizing thousands at this time, a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins (Mk.1:4-5; Lk.3:3; Jn.4:1-2).
Jesus mentioning water in Jn.3:5, was not a mystery to Nicodemus. He fully understood what Jesus meant by water, but had difficulty understanding the new birth process.
Peter explains how one is born again in 1Pt.1:22-23). "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
Notice our souls are purified when we obey the truth, through the Spirit...being born again by the Word of God.
The Holy Spirit works on our hearts through the Word of truth. When we obey the truth, our souls are purified, and we are born again.
Just as when Jesus was speaking the truth to Nicodemus.
"Unless a man is born of water (baptism/obedience), and of the Spirit (through the Word of God) he cannot enter into the kingdom.

Is water baptism for the Church the Body of Christ? What did OUR (!) apostle Paul say about baptism in this dispensation of Grace?
    1. Corinthians 1
    14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
    1. Corinthians 12
13 for by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
    Ephesians 4
    4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Do you know what the Ministry of reconciliation means?
It takes two for the process of reconciliation. God made the first step: He reconciled himself to the world. He would never reconcile himself to sin. So what did He do?
Christ paid the price for the sins of the whole world. That was the necessary atonement, directly followed by God forgiving the world all trespasses.
Today, sin is not imputed to anyone, ALL sin was put on Christ, buried with him. When Christ rose again, all sin stayed in his grave and is not ever to be re-imputed to anyone in this dispensation of Grace.
That's our good news of today the Gospel of our salvation: the work was finished on the cross, once and for all. Now sin is put out of the way between God and man. Hallelujah 🙏🙏🙏
Now it's your turn: be ye reconciled to God. Believe that all your sins were forgiven by God when Christ paid the price for every single sin.
This is salvation today: believe, your sins were completely forgiven on the cross when you were His enemy,as the sins of the whole world were paid and forgiven there.
Believing that, trusting in Christ alone is what saves you today. In this very moment, Christ's righteousness is imputed in your account, by His spirit you are baptized into Christ, sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, eternal life and all spiritual blessings are yours, you are a new creature, a member of the church, the Body of Christ, your Destination is heavenly places.
Paul, our only apostle, did not say one single word in all his 13 epistles how to get your sins forgiven. Because salvation is to believe they already are.
This is our ministry, Ambassadors for Christ, ministers of reconciliation. Share the good news that God has forgiven all the worlds sin and is not imputing them, today is the day of salvation!
Check out also "truthtime Radio", it is very edifying ❤️
    Grace and peace 🙏❤️

Yes you must be Baptized into Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13), but not John's baptism (John 3:26-27, Mark 11:30)
    ; but Rather Jesus's baptism (Matthew 20:23).
The LORD adds to his Church by Spirit Baptism (Acts 2:38-39, Acts 2:47) By the Will of God (John 1:12-13, John 6:44).
Baptism is only Justification (Galatians 3:14), the gift of Grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), but it is not salvation (Titus 3:7). Faith must be endured through obedience (Romans 6, Colossians 1:23).
But the Baptism could not be attained by our own works (Ephesians 1:11-14, Romans 9:11, 2 Timothy 1:9)
But yes believers must be Baptized, there is One Baptism (Ephesians 4:5) - The Holy Ghost (Acts 11:16-18) ❤

@@DavidGuzikEnduringWord too easy. Baptism as stated many times in scripture is for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus has the authority to forgive sins as he did the paralytic.
Did not Jesus say that you may know that the son of man has the authority to forgive sins I tell you pick up your bed and walk
Jesus did not have to say I forgive you of your sins it was implied.
For example how many people can go directly to heaven without experiencing death
We know of at least three Old testament heroes that did not experienced death but went straight to heaven
Clearly that is the exception and not the norm as it was for the thief on the cross.
So Jesus says you must be born of water and one of spirit and chooses at some point to take someone directly. That is certainly his prerogative
